  • My high hopes, was brought low...:(

    By on

I had high hopes for this, as I want to switch my dogs over to a food other than kibble. This looked hopeful, but 2 out of 3 of my dogs don't like it. They may sniff it, take a couple licks, then walk away. My third dog gulps it down, of coarse he gulps EVERYTHING down, as he is a piggy! On the plus side, I will say it is easy to whip up a batch of this food, but the down side is it is a soft mash, not what I thought it would be, as say, some lumpy chunky food. Looks more like wet cornmeal, before it's baked. Plus the smell reminded me of those cube's you can put in your soup, for more flavoring,,,ugh, never did like that smell! I don't use them, and don't want it in my dogs food either. I had high hopes for this, as I want to switch my dogs over to a food other than kibble. • After so many others ....

    By on

Have a pup with allergies and sensitive tummy issues. Tried more than several other foods including prescription diet and found Honest Kitchen. Started with the goats milk and saw how Willow LOVES it. Looked at the food choices and went with the Force chicken food because there is nothing in it that she is allergic to. It smells so good! Instant change in Willow's eating. She actually sits and whines and says "Please" (paw up) while I am making it. It is gone within minutes. So happy to see her eat and enjoy all her food. For her tummy, no upsets since she has been on it. Almost one month now.

  • Should ask my dog. . .

    By on

Looking at this product, from a human perspective, it doesn't look like much . But we aren't eating it - they are! I do, however, make it even more interesting by cooking up some chicken tenders with kale and adding that to the mix. In addition I use 1 cup of the chicken broth cooked up from making the tenders to the mix, followed by a 1/2 cup of cold water. . . stir and wait 3-5 minutes and serve. The result is usually the stuff is gone within minutes! So much better than canned food. Thanks Chewy's for providing a great product.

  • Great for my pug

    By on

I love this food for my pug. My pug doesn’t chew, and he is overweight, he loves this food. My pug can hardly wait for me to feed him before he eats it. I have noticed that he has loss a few pounds, he doesn’t shed as much as before and his coat is much softer too! I like that this food because it is grain-free, and I do believe that is why my pug has a softer coat with less shedding. Given the fact that my pug doesn’t chew, this food makes digestion and absorption easier for him. This foods smells good, like real food.

  • Great Food, Dog Loves It

    By on

Dog loves the food. She gets excited when she hears the bag rustle, and because it has to be mixed and sit a few minutes, she waits in the kitchen the whole time! Her stomach condition is much better after switching to this food. The service from Chewy was not the best though. After I ordered, there was a delay with delivery. They sent an email, and I responded telling them that I can't call during the day as they suggested due to the type of work I do. They insisted that they had to talk to me versus trying to clear up any problems in email. My girlfriend had to call and talk to them. Food was good. The price was good because of a discount, but on the whole, without that the first order 20% Dog loves the food. • Great Quality

    By on

I had debated for quite sometime to actually feed this to our 2 Cockapoo pups and I am glad I did decide to finally feed it to them regularly after some research. It is made with quality ingredients and comes grain free. Looking forward to trying some of the other products available.

  • Dehydrated food?

    By on

This stuff smells great! Just like a chicken dinner. The dog loves it, the cats rub on the bowl, the other dog without food sensitivities gives me the sad eyes when she isn’t getting this. That said, it seems to cause GERD symptoms in my dog, so I am switching him back to the grain free turkey.

  • Simply Awesome!!!

Started my 9 yr old Scottie on this earlier this week. She totally loves and had no problem switching completely in just a few day. No more dry kibble for my baby ever again. I truly believe what you save in dog food you ultimately spend at the vet! Not to mention the price your pet pays. Lost my last 2 at age 10 & 11 to cancer. Even though I switched from mid level to high end kibble yrs ago, I couldn't help but think it still wasn't good enough. And the vet bills once again have not been pretty. I didn't feel comfortable going with raw so this was a great alternative. There is no junk in this food and it doesn't even smell like dog food. • Great food!

I have a Maltese who had a high BUN on a blood test. This means something is going on with the kidneys. I didn't want to put her on a special diet and a friend suggested I try Honest Kitchen. I did and in about 2 months her blood work was great! I'm very pleased with the results of this food and my dog loves it.

  • Incredible Food

We have a 5 and a 4 pound Yorkshire Terrier. They are picky eaters and eating a good quality kibble however refused to eat kibble considered higher quality. Both dogs were developing health issues. The older one was not chewing the kibble, throwing it up several times per week, seemed lethargic, only pooping one time per day. She was excessively shedding -- Typically, Yorkies do not shed. The younger (4 pound girl) was also occasional throwing up the kibble and producing excessive eye drainage. She has thin fine hair and her undercoat was always so tangled and matted it was impossible to comb even after a bath. We have friends with a black lab and it seemed their dog was near the end of life -- He couldn't even get up by himself any longer. They started feeding the Honest Kitchen and in less than a month the dog was acting young again so we decided to try it on our Yorkies. We purchased Force Grain Free Chicken and started by putting a small drop on the plate with the kibble. At first, they ate the kibble and sniffed the Force but by day 3 they ate the Force before the kibble and by the end of the first week only wanted the Force. By the fourth week all the issues had improved and to date neither has thrown up a single time. The older one has stopped shedding -- The younger ones coat is amazingly tangle free and her eye drainage is hardly noticeable and improving daily. They both feel like they have just had a bath even after eight weeks when it would normally be time to bath them. They are getting a little less that 1/4 cup (twice a day) and so far we could not be happier -- It is easy to make, travel with and both dogs absolutely love it. It is like we have two different dogs, healthy and happy! … more
