Started my 9 yr old Scottie on this earlier this week. She totally loves and had no problem switching completely in just a few day. No more dry kibble for my baby ever again. I truly believe what you save in dog food you ultimately spend at the vet! Not to mention the price your pet pays. Lost my last 2 at age 10 & 11 to cancer. Even though I switched from mid level to high end kibble yrs ago, I couldn't help but think it still wasn't good enough. And the vet bills once again have not been pretty. I didn't feel comfortable going with raw so this was a great alternative. There is no junk in this food and it doesn't even smell like dog food. I liked the Force order of ingredients best which is probaby why it is more $$ than the other chicken recipe. Me and my Holly couldn't be happier. Thank you Honest Kitchen and thank you Chewy for always having reasonable prices and awesome service!!! BTW as for expiration date, the box had July 2018 (this is Sept 2017) for those who are worried about it expiring quickly. … more

  • Incredible Food

We have a 5 and a 4 pound Yorkshire Terrier. They are picky eaters and eating a good quality kibble however refused to eat kibble considered higher quality. Both dogs were developing health issues. The older one was not chewing the kibble, throwing it up several times per week, seemed lethargic, only pooping one time per day. She was excessively shedding -- Typically, Yorkies do not shed. The younger (4 pound girl) was also occasional throwing up the kibble and producing excessive eye drainage. She has thin fine hair and her undercoat was always so tangled and matted it was impossible to comb even after a bath. We have friends with a black lab and it seemed their dog was near the end of life -- He couldn't even get up by himself any longer. They started feeding the Honest Kitchen and in less than a month the dog was acting young again so we decided to try it on our Yorkies. We purchased Force Grain Free Chicken and started by putting a small drop on the plate with the kibble. At first, they ate the kibble and sniffed the Force but by day 3 they ate the Force before the kibble and by the end of the first week only wanted the Force. By the fourth week all the issues had improved and to date neither has thrown up a single time. The older one has stopped shedding -- The younger ones coat is amazingly tangle free and her eye drainage is hardly noticeable and improving daily. They both feel like they have just had a bath even after eight weeks when it would normally be time to bath them. They are getting a little less that 1/4 cup (twice a day) and so far we could not be happier -- It is easy to make, travel with and both dogs absolutely love it. It is like we have two different dogs, healthy and happy! … more

this is the best, HUMAN GRADE FOOD ,for my EAST German Shepherds ! We feed Raw meat, human grade, and supplement with the Honest Kitchen. We use several different mixes of HK and go back and forth. We also let our dogs eat apples and blueberries, rasberries growing on our property, and give them our table scraps :)

  • Have to try it! Just WOW!!!!

    By on

My 14 year old pit bull mix has always been a poor eater. With age, health problems added up and recently his condition worsened. And then he stopped eating.... nothing worked and I feared the end was near. I tried the honest kitchen food with no hope left. I was not so convinced for the consistency is nothing like the regular dog food. I was in disbelief.... he really, really liked it!!!! He went from barely eating once a day, to eating twice a day as soon as I set down he food bowl. This is a first for him!!!! I absolutely recommend to try this food!!!! I will never switch again. My dog regained strength and is eating still regularly. Just wow!!!! :)

  • Literally licks the bowl

    By on

I recently added the Honest Kitchen Grain-free Dehydrated dog food to Zoe's meal regimen. My Zoe is on an expensive prescription food diet and she was not a big fan of the dry kibble. I tried adding a half of serving of the HK Grain free and now she literally licks the bowl across the kitchen floor. The food is a bit pricey, but it also allows me to stretch out the prescription kibble and canned food longer.

  • Honest Kitchen

My Dobermans tummy just doesn't care for any of the kibbled food that was suggested. A local store clerk explained Honest Kitchen Force to me and from that day forward he has been on it , approximately 4 yrs ago. Thank you Honest Kitchen

  • Great product!

Clean bowl in seconds! I have a lab, so being picky has never been an issue; that said this food smells great - and he really seems to love it (judging by the drool puddle on the floor that forms while I mix it). Definitely would recommend this product to folks.

I am a repeat customer and an very happy with both the turkey & chicken grain free. Wish it was less expensive, but the quality of the food and the improvement it's made in my dog's life is worth it.
