Rated 3 out of 5 by cafarmwife I wouldn't feed this as the sole diet...
I had my dogs on this food for a little more then a year and this is what I noticed: While the dogs did like the food and I like that it's made with human grade ingredient, they both lost weight right away which neither of them really needed. I had to feed a lot of this to keep their weight on. Also, right off the bat, they both started producing enormous amounts of huge stools. Not diarrhea, just a LOT of poop. This food has a LOT of roughage in it. I also noticed a lot of bits of the food in their stools that was passing right through undigested. When spring came around and they shed out their winter coats I noticed right away their summer coats were dull and dry whereas they'd always been slick, shiny dogs. At that point I decided enough and put them back on their kibble (Acana and Taste of the Wild Wetlands) with canned food added and I also feed some raw. My dogs are back to having super soft, shiny coats, bright eyes, high energy and great looking teeth. And I'm feeding them way less. And less poop to pick up too! So for me this food just did not work out, if I was to feed it again I'd only do so as part of the diet with plenty of other food mixed in. I just don't think they were getting what they needed from this food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ChineseCrestedDoglover Healthy Alternative to Raw Feeding
I've been feeding my dogs reconstituted foods from The Honest Kitchen for several years. Not only do they love it, but it's the next best thing to feeding raw. It's freeze-dried raw food, but so much easier to work with than buying and preparing raw foods which I don't have the time for. All I have to do is add water (and I also add supplements like glucosamine and fish oil) making a "porridge" that they literally inhale. It is a very reasonably priced product for what it is and its ease of use. Keen is the lowest priced of the choices, but is perfect for my three adult small dogs, one of whom is a senior.
I used to use another auto delivery company but their prices went through the roof. This is not an easy product to find locally, but buying it from Mr. Chewy is the best price I've found and I don't have to remember to order more as it will be delivered as often as I set my preferences for.
My dogs love The Honest Kitchen foods and I love Mr. Chewy for saving me time and money!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Izzy Finicky Eater Problem Solved!
My Jack Russell rough coat terrier was the most finicky dog that I've ever owned. She casually pecked at her dinner and would often leave half of it in her bowl. Because our other dogs who would gladly eat her portion, we constantly had to pick up her bowl and try to encourage her to eat more later. We switched to Honest Kitchen's Keen dog food and she loves it so much that she anxiously squirms and wags her tail when it's feeding time. She now eats her entire serving without any hesitation!

My dogs loved the Honest Kitchen Turkey. I feed raw but getting turkey at most times of the year is expensive or hard to get so this works out great for me to give them a variety also helps when I forget to take out food from the freezer.

I purchased this product, but my dog is not eating it like she did her previous food, may have to go back to that brand. Or, try another flavor or
Texture this on is so mush like, maybe , why my dog doesn't like as much.

I used to feed SoJo's but they didn't grind up the carrots/ veggies well do my big dogs just pooped them out, SO I switched to Honest kitchen and make is into a paste so it slows the, down when eating and it's so finely ground that no veggies or whatever come out the other end!
