Their grain-free recipes are great for pups with sensitivities, and the whole grain options are made with organic rolled oats. They're less processed than regular dry food, and dehydrated to retain their natural goodness and flavor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Slows my pups down I used to feed SoJo's but they didn't grind up the carrots/ veggies well do my big dogs just pooped them out, SO I switched to Honest kitchen and make is into a paste so it slows the, down when eating and it's so finely ground that no veggies or whatever come out the other end! Rated 5 out of 5 by My dog is crazy about it My dog is crazy about this stuff. He was a rescue so he was already eating this. I was trying to ween him off of it but he likes it a lot. Does leave very soft stools though. But the ingredients are natural which is probably why it does that. Great taste lasts a pretty long time esp when only feeding for dinner like we do. Rated 3 out of 5 by First time and not crazy about it. Loose stool. Really like Force and some of Grandma Lucy's much more. Did not like this product. Will not order it again. September 12, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth the cost My 9 yr old golden was getting just a tiny bit heavy even though she gets five mile walks every day. Plus she had a bad summer for hot spots. I tried a box of this and was very pleased. She looks leaner and no hot spots even after a week at the lake. We had been feeding Taste of the Wild which is a high quality food but recently she seems to have not done as well on it. August 30, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Healthy Alternative to Raw Feeding I've been feeding my dogs reconstituted foods from The Honest Kitchen for several years. Not only do they love it, but it's the next best thing to feeding raw. It's freeze-dried raw food, but so much easier to work with than buying and preparing raw foods which I don't have the time for. All I have to do is add water (and I also add supplements like glucosamine and fish oil) making a "porridge" that they literally inhale. It is a very reasonably priced product for what it is and its ease of use. Keen is the lowest priced of the choices, but is perfect for my three adult small dogs, one of whom is a senior. I used to use another auto delivery company but their prices went through the roof. This is not an easy product to find locally, but buying it from Mr. Chewy is the best price I've found and I don't have to remember to order more as it will be delivered as often as I set my preferences for. My dogs love The Honest Kitchen foods and I love Mr. Chewy for saving me time and money! March 12, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Used as travel food despite palatability issues We ordinarily feed raw, but try to use this when RVing, since it doesn't take up freezer space. My two dogs who will eat anything will eat this, but given a choice of raw and Keen, they will eat the raw first. My other two dogs, the finicky ones, have to be _very_ hungry to even look at the bowl; at best, one of them will eat around the carrots. Before and after trips, I will mix ground raw with Keen, and they can incredibly separate the two and leave the Keen behind. For now, though, I will continue to use this product as our main travel food. Assuming the ingredients are listed from most plentiful to least, flaxseed is listed 4th, after potatoes and before carrots. The side of the 10lb box says "eleven potatoes" and "25 carrots" were "squeezed into" the box, so the amount of flaxseed would be between those two quantities; unless those are little new potatoes and baby carrots, that is a LOT of flaxseed. I considered trying the grain-free turkey (Embark) but flaxseed is the second ingredient! Note to Chewy shipping: I just received my third box. The first came in your "MD02" box which fits the 10lb HK perfectly. The second came in a huge "MD05" box, and the third in the "MD03" box which is not deep enough. The latter two allowed the HK box to slide around and get dinged corners. August 9, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Missy Loves This Food My dog Missy Loves this food. She could smell it and knew immediately it was hers. She hasn't had any digestive upsets since she's been eating it. August 22, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great food Purchased for my elderly poodle. She has been eating it two weeks and has already fattened up a bit. Seems to be a wholesome, nutritious food. August 4, 2016
