  • All The Honest Kitchen human grade food has kept my two JR's healthy.

    By on

Our two 10 year old JR's have stayed very healthy on this great food. They love it all so I give them a change regularly. They will lick their pans clean in a minute on any and all the recipes. I had much rather spend the bucks on this quality food than paying the vet for allergy pills and shots, upset stomachs and diarrhea from dry food. They are spayed females and this food keeps them in ideal weight.

I have a beagle who can no longer chew dog food. I am making my own with oatmeal and millet and I add this product to it to give nutrition and meat flavor. He is able to eat it just fine and likes it.

  • Very Watery

    By on

Zippy seems to like it. Not that she is very discerning when it comes to food. But it is extremely watery. Not at all like Love. My other dog won't touch it, but he is extremely hard to please and he doesn't like Love either. Oh well.

  • Adding some healthy grain to an ailing dog's diet

    By on

Our vet recommended adding some healthy grain to our ailing senior dog, as he was losing weight for no obvious reason. We chose Thrive because (1) we always feed our dogs The Honest Kitchen food and (2) quinoa is a super healthy grain. It's gluten-free, high in protein and one of the few plant foods that contain all nine essential amino acids. It is also high in fiber, magnesium, B-vitamins, iron, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, vitamin E and various beneficial antioxidants. And he loves it!

  • She loves it!

    By on

Gracie used to take her time and eat her kibble throughout the day. Since I switched her to Honesty Kitchen, she has a little bark & dance show she puts on every time I am preparing her bowl. The meal is gone in only a few minutes! She has loved every "flavor" she has tried. I am sold on getting her food and treats from Chewy, as they deliver so fast and I don't have to worry whether the local stores have Honesty Kitchen in stock.

  • Great Brand but issues with Thrive

    By on

I love this brand however I ordered Thrive (regular not grain free) this time around and was disappointed. Though my dog eats it anyway, you must use less water than the prescribed amount or it will not set and remain extremely liquid. I had to nook her first serving to get it to set so I adjusted the water and use 1/3 less to get a good consistency. A great product and evidently a great taste as my dog devours it, just an issue with it setting. Also, it is very expensive to feed a large dog on this brand. Wish they had coupons. So I split her feed with Kibble in the morning and this at night so I don't kill the budget!
