Customer Reviews

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 58 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Brand but issues with Thrive I love this brand however I ordered Thrive (regular not grain free) this time around and was disappointed. Though my dog eats it anyway, you must use less water than the prescribed amount or it will not set and remain extremely liquid. I had to nook her first serving to get it to set so I adjusted the water and use 1/3 less to get a good consistency. A great product and evidently a great taste as my dog devours it, just an issue with it setting. Also, it is very expensive to feed a large dog on this brand. Wish they had coupons. So I split her feed with Kibble in the morning and this at night so I don't kill the budget! As for delivery and service, this was extremely quick, streamlined and easy. Will buy again from Chewy and hopefully find some rebates to help offset the high cost. Its a balancing act between wanting the best for your pet and being able to feed the rest of your human family a quality healthy diet too. December 30, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Adding some healthy grain to an ailing dog's diet Our vet recommended adding some healthy grain to our ailing senior dog, as he was losing weight for no obvious reason. We chose Thrive because (1) we always feed our dogs The Honest Kitchen food and (2) quinoa is a super healthy grain. It's gluten-free, high in protein and one of the few plant foods that contain all nine essential amino acids. It is also high in fiber, magnesium, B-vitamins, iron, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, vitamin E and various beneficial antioxidants. And he loves it! July 20, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by good food from a company that cares my dog suffers from food allergies so i am always researching for a good food that is simple and free of fillers. For a while, after a bad round allergies, she was on lid kibble which worked great but i thought i could give my dog something better. So far Thrive is the only formula that my dog can have from honest kitchen and she is actually thriving on the formula! I love that Honest Kitchen fought for their right to be able to say their food is human grade, it's important to me too and the fact they went through so much trouble, it goes to show it means a lot to them too. Personally, it doesn't smell too appetizing but my dog seems to disagree because she waits to gobble it up. i mix this formula with some ziwipeak to add more protein. I am so happy i found a combination that works for my dog. they also have great customer service just like chewy. July 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Finally a food for my puppy I have spent 4 months looking for a good food for my collie puppy. I've tried Acana, Orijen, and Wellness. All are supposedly great brands, but none worked for her. She had constant diarrhea each time we tried to transition her to the new food. Finally, after speaking with several other dog owners and trainers, I decided to look into raw food. I don't have the time to prepare a raw meal three times a day, so my search naturally led me to The Honest Kitchen dehydrated dog foods. This product has worked wonders. Immediately, after eating just one meal of Thrive, my puppy has good stool. I am amazed by the great difference good quality dog food can make. Thank you THK! I'd also like to thank Chewy for their help throughout my process of finding a suitable dog food. Each time a dog food didn't work, I told Chewy about it. Without me asking, they've offered a refund every time. I'm extremely grateful because dog food doesn't come cheap. Chewy's generosity allowed me to explore different foods freely until I found the best option. I've never experienced customer service like this. They are truly committed to their customer's satisfaction and their dogs' well being! January 18, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by She loves it! Gracie used to take her time and eat her kibble throughout the day. Since I switched her to Honesty Kitchen, she has a little bark & dance show she puts on every time I am preparing her bowl. The meal is gone in only a few minutes! She has loved every "flavor" she has tried. I am sold on getting her food and treats from Chewy, as they deliver so fast and I don't have to worry whether the local stores have Honesty Kitchen in stock. March 15, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Allergy to quinoa One of my dogs is allergic to this food. Fortunately the other can eat it. The consistency is either gummy or soupy if eaten without anything mixed in. February 23, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Thrive is a great choice for all dogs My dog had gastrointestinal issues since he was a puppy.Plenty of gas, loose stool etc. Switching him to Honest Kitchen dehydrated food was the best cure for him.He had Turkey flavor and now enjoying Chicken and Quinoa and loves it. No byproducts, wheat, soy, corn, gluten, additives and GMO free. Best dehydrated food product so far I've come across. December 30, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Was Great But Not For My Dog I had used Honest Kitchen food before for my Belgian Malinois who has terrible allergies. He always did very well on it, but I couldn't afford this food for such a big dog. He was on another brand for a while, but eventually started having issues with it. I chose to go back to Honest Kitchen. However, since this one has quinoa, I was skeptical that it would give my dog who has issues with grains a problem. It really hasn't to a large extent, but his allergies did not get better like I assumed they would again. October 29, 2015
