I am in the process of trying different things to find something my little guy will willingly eat...he is very picky! The Honest Kitchen line is very good stuff and I feel very good about feeding my dog anything from this company...however, he is picky and even though he eats the food, I do have to mix meat in with it, he seems to like the taste but I think the consistency might be unusual for him. This is just because he is so picky, he has been known to turn his nose up to fresh steak and chicken breast, so his opinion isn't very reliable. I do want to comment on how absolutely amazing chewy is...this is the best company I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with and I will ALWAYS I am in the process of trying different things to find something my little guy will willingly eat...he is very picky! • Great for Allergies

    By on

Vet recommended this brand because my dog has storage mite and dust mite allergies. It is a great food, but of course- my picky dog refuses to eat it. Highly recommend buying samples or getting them from a local store before you invest in this food to make sure your pup will eat it. I did that to find the right flavor, but alas he will not eat it now so it is just sitting on my shelf.

  • Products are great, delivery issues can be painful

    By on

I haven't used the product yet but I have used it in the past. Honest Kitchen is a good dog especially if you have allergic or finicky dogs. Has a lot of nutrition and my dogs love it. That said however I didn't care for whomever delivered my box and essentially dropped it. I was lucky that although there was damage to the Honest Kitchen boxes, the plastic seal was not broken.

  • My dog wont eat it

    By on

I have tried every flavor of this food (which was very expensive). Its supposed to be healthy and I would love for my dog to eat it. But he wants no part of it. The texture isnt so appealing, it has a texture like creamed spinach only drier. I have tried mixing it with his kibble (orijen and arcana)... I will try some more. I have a lot left. I gave it 4 stars because I appreciate any healthy/HUMAN GRADE foods as there isnt much out there to choose from.

  • It was a no go!

After trying the no grain chicken, which my dog gobbled up, I ordered the beef with grain. My dog hated it and refused to eat it.

  • Better than canned wet food!

    By on

I made a 10 quart Tupperware container of it for 3 dogs and it lasted over a week. Better than continually opening up metal cans!! Best news is dogs seem to love it!

  • Our dogs love this food!

I spend a little more time fixing our dogs food. However, they absolutely love this food. They get so excited when I am making it.

  • Changed food flavor

    By on

My dog is having issues eating her food. I contacted chewy to see if they had any ideas that might help. The rep that I talked to was very helpful. She suggested that I might try changing the flavor of the food. I thought that was a good idea and she took care of the change order. My Bella is still having issues but it's not Chewy. I have found that if I include some vegies in her dish that she is more likely to eat in one sitting rather than take all day for one bowl.

  • A miss on this one

    By on

I was mixing the Keen turkey recipe in with my dogs food and he was loving it. Decided to rotate the protein and tried this beef variety. Big mistake. He wouldn't touch it and I don't blame him. It was very green and just smelled like ground up parsley. I even tried to mask the smell with their proper toppers and some Primal, he wasn't having it.
