A complete bust. Many of my dogs are picky eaters, and they are allowed to be since a good number of them are permanent fosters for a senior/hospice rescue. As such, their food needs can vary widely so we decided to try this product. Not one of our crew would touch it, although they all gave it a thorough sniff. The bowls were left in case they wanted to sample later, but to no avail. The cat slso declined, as did our flock of chickens when we put the bowls out in the yard.
So onto the rescue this package (and a rather pricey package) will go to see if other dogs in the sanctuary find it palatable. Stay tuned?

Rated 4 out of 5 by Noel Nice addition to what I already feed
Great to add to what I already feed. But mine don't like it well enough to eat it as a stand alone food. They loved it the first week and are now not as excited about it. But love it as a topper for their regular food.

Rated 4 out of 5 by YankeeShelties Handy addition to a raw food diet
Most commercially made raw food is really expensive, so I utilize local sources of meat for most of the time for my dogs. But getting variety in the diet is essential so I added dehydrated raw with different animal proteins to the schedule. The dogs devour it... well, honestly they devour ANYTHING I feed them. It's easy to prepare and very handy if running low on the usual raw fresh meats.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sam26 Great Food
My dog loves honest kitchen - she devours the food and can barely wait for me to set it down in front of her. It feels great to feed my dog something where I know all the ingredients and is good for her!

Had been feeding my dogs a grain-free food from Honest Kitchen. One dog liked it ok, the other wasn't really into it. Saw this and thought, 'Cheaper than grain-free, high quality grain. Should be fine.' It wasn't. They started scratching, to the point of sores. And before long were absolutely refusing to eat. I happened to buy some Stella and Chewy dehydrated dog food on clearance at my local pet store and within 1 day the scratching stopped and even my not-food-motivated pup was leaping to get at her food. We've switched. Feeding the rest of this food to my chickens...

by zeus1997 They get this midday
Mine get fed 3 times daily, yet still get the amount they need, not overfed. I work from home and this food is not really an inconvenience as some reviews say, it does look yucky, but I expected that as it is freeze dried...I have two Dobies, 1 Irish Terrier and a Shepherd/Doberman mix, they are crazy about it. They do fuss at me while I am getting it ready:)

Rated 1 out of 5 by Esutor11 Disappointed
I was looking for a more convenient way to feed my dog real healthy food with not a lot of chemicals and preservatives. When I read on the box that this was "human grade" and something like 75% real beef I got very excited but I was very disappointed with this product. I was expecting something more "hearty" not a bowl full of mush. It basically looked like mushy green oatmeal and smelled a lot like grass. It was disgusting and my dog is very picky so he turned his nose up at it and then went to steal the cats' food! I guess I will stick to the Paleopet diet so I know exactly what he is eating.
