The Honest Kitchen Zeal Grain-Free Dehydrated Dog Food is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 100.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost miraculous transformation for my old girl... My old girl, a 13 year old lab-rotty mix, has bad arthritis and has developed what we think is allergies. To what, we don't know. Her eyes are puffy and look infected, like bacterial conjunctivitis, but the antibiotics didn't help it. Steroids did. And...she has lick granulomas that have been there for years. I could never get them completely healed. So I did some research and found grain free allergen free food that appears to be all natural. She has been on this food for over a week now. She gobbles it right up. I can't prep it fast enough for her. Her eyes are finally looking better (although not completely healed yet). Her lick granulomas are no longer raw and bleeding but seem to be healing nicely (to my amazement!). And I caught her running around the yard with my adolescent fur baby like she was a puppy again! It makes me so happy to see her doing so much better. There were a couple of times last year I thought I was going to lose her. This food might not be for every dog, but it has been perfect for us. :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So glad we found this One of our dogs has a very sensitive GI. We had him on another food that our vet recommended but we weren't very pleased with the quality of the ingredients. We discovered this food and made the switch. He loves this food so much he cleans his bowl, which he never did before. Our other dog got very jealous and would beg to have this food so we have switched her to it as well. They both have so much energy now! From the second you open the bag you can tell this food is good quality, there are actual pieces of real food in it. Very happy we made the switch to this food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dog Food Ingredients in food are good quality for dogs with allergies or digestive problems. Once is cooked with hot water it doubles the portion. It only needs hot water for preparation and is not too inconvenient at all, I do wish that it was more specific about the amounts to mix. We recommend it and really like it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality food. I've been feeding this food to my dog since he was a puppy and I've never seen a more beautiful coat. He loves his food and I feel great knowing I am feeding the best quality ingredients.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My dog and I love Zeal Unfortunately, the last brand my dog was on was was reformulated to contain chickpeas. A lot of brands are reformulating to contain either chickpeas or chicken/ fat. She also can't have turkey, turkey fat or potatoes(sweet potatoes are ok). It's hard finding a dry food I feel comfortable feeding that doesn't contain the above ingredients. The honest kitchen zeal is a perfect match for my pup. She eats THK zeal when I forget to thaw her raw food or I'm having a lazy day. I just add enough warm water so I can easily mix it. The box suggests adding too much water. I think this is the third box I've bought her. Smells pretty fishy but I will continue to include this in my dog's diet and highly recommend this food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great food but very pricey I love Honest Kitchen's foods, my dogs all look phenomenal when I feed it to them. Their ingredients are truly quality, no fillers, and because they produce their food in human-grade facilities they are much safer than other dog foods and less likely to have recalls. I do think however that these foods are very expensive for what you get volume-wise. A 10-pound box of Honest Kitchen will feed one of my 35-pound dogs for about 8 days, so more or less I'd be looking at 4 boxes a month for one dog. I have multiple dogs and it's not financially possible for me to feed this food exclusively. I do like to use Honest Kitchen as a "topper" for the other food that I do feed. I put about a tablespoon of HK on top of the kibble, add water, and it makes a tasty gravy. I also like to feed HK to dogs who are off their feed for any reason, as they really like the way it tastes and often if I reconstitute the HK with warm chicken broth I can get a dog to eat who wasn't interested in anything else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from literally saved my dog's life My 9 year old yellow lab has had stomach and digestive issues since he was a puppy. Mostly because he likes to eat things that get lodged in his intestines. He has had 9 surgeries on his stomach. One of which was for bloat. Earlier this year I was having to consider the horrible choice to possibly put him down because of his chronic diarrhea and vomiting. He had lost 10 lbs and nothing was working. My last attempt was to try the Zeal dehydrated food from Honest Kitchen that the vet tech told me about. It has been a MIRACLE for him. Although he has not put on any of the weight he lost, the diarrhea and vomiting have STOPPED! He is back to his old self. Playing, running and enjoying life again! I would recommend this product to anyone! Thank you Honest Kitchen!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mady loves it! My 11 year old beagle mix has a very sensitive stomach and was having trouble digesting her old dog food - Grandma Lucy's Performance. The carrots were just sitting on her stomach and never being digested. This would result in nightly throw-ups! After some searching I found that Honest Kitchen does not include carrots in their formula. I already knew that they produced a super product from previous searches, so I figured it was time to give it a try. While it does have a strong fishy smell, Mady absolutely loves it and no more nightly throw ups!
