  • Not impressed

    By on

I gave the product two stars instead of one because my dog did love it. The crackly inside was really appealing to him. However, less than a half hour into play, it was destroyed. I wrote to Chewy, they graciously sent me a new one, but again, destroyed in less than half an hour. It's not designed very well-- because of the crackly inside, of course a dog is going to want to gnaw on it, and the holes give the dog something to grip onto and rip away. Would not recommend.

  • Smells Like Rubber

    By on

My main complain is that it smells like rubber, and my dogs will hardly touch it. I understand it IS made of a rubbery substance, but I didn`t expect the odor to be so strong. I bought the large one and I actually got 2, because I have 2 German Shepherds.. So, there goes $20 down the drain. Waste of money unless I can get them to take them back.

  • Good idea, but didn't last with my chewer chomper

    By on

My wheaten terrier loved this ball! I let him have it for first time for 15-20 minutes he chased played and crackled it, next Eve same thing, third eve I looked at it ball was rather smushed in in places but he played with it and with in 15 minutes had chewed a chunk out of it. I had ordered a large which I think could have been a bit larger. I'm glad it was on sale when I bought it. I did address these issues with the company ant they have acknowledged my notice and are routing it to the proper department. Recommendations would depend on the dog.

  • My dog loves it

    By on

My only complaint with this toy is I wish it were slightly bigger as it's a little small for my Cane Corso/Newfoundland mix dog, but he thinks it's fantastic. I like it because it's not quite as annoying as a squeaky toy. Unfortunately he's kind of compacted the plastic material inside so it's not quite as satisfying for him, but he still loves ball toys so he still enjoys playing with it.

  • Our dog is not interested

    By on

Our dog loves playing fetch with balls every day when we get home from work. She was initially excited to see a new ball, but when we threw it, she ran to it, sniffed it, and walked away. I don't know what it is, but she won't pick up this ball. I know she can, especially with the multiple holes for gripping. We have other JW balls without the plastic inside and those are her favorites.

  • Crackle Ball

    By on

I was disappointed in the amount of crackle sound made by the ball. You really have to squeeze it hard to get any sound out of it at all. My dog shows almost no interest in it unless I'm pretending to try to take it from him, but my cats love it. I think the holes make it more interesting to them.

  • Hours of entertainment!

    By on Top 100 Contributor

This ball provided many hours of entertainment for my dog. He absolutely loves it, and it is a great price on chewy.com. The only reason I didn't give this toy 5 stars is because my dog was able to crunch the inner part so that it no longer expands to the size of the outer ball. At such a great price, I'm sure I'll order this again in the future.

  • Durable Toy

We have a grand dog that is a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix and she destroys most toys in a day. She is a power chewer but after several weeks with this toy it is still in one piece. One of her favorites. Would recommend this toy.

  • Good idea don't buy if yoiu have aggressive chewer.

My dog loves the JW sqeeky balls and tast a long time even after the squeeker comes out. I thought this ball would last but alas, it does not.. He has them torn completely apart in about 30 minutes.

  • My dog's not interested

It makes the same sound as old water bottles but my dog prefers toys that I can insert a real bottle in. Why? I haven't a clue.
