  • Great quality but the pins do not spin and that's important

    By on

This undercoat rake is made of great quality and has a very comfortable handle. Only problem, which is pretty big, is that the rake pins do NOT spin. That is important if you run into a lot of knots in your long double coated big breeds. I had a rake that the pins would spin as I brushed my pets and they never seemed bothered at all to be brushed and actually lined up for their turn. But I wore it out, had it for almost 20 years and it finally broke in two pieces, we were all sad about that. SO I searched for something just like it or similar, and this is the one I tried. But, with this rake, the pins do NOT spin so I think it might pull or hurt a bit while trying to do their normal grooming. Because of their bit of discomfort, I will not be using this one and will try to find one that has spinning pins. Other than that, it has a great feel in your hand but not good for longer thicker coats. This is just my own personal opinion based on my own personal experience with my own personal pets about this product. This rake may work for other pets with different coats. … more

  • Works well!

Have a miniature American Husky and is the first brush I have had that she will let me use. Doesn't hurt when caught in a snag! We both enjoy brushing time now! No more cutting her hair short!

  • Short hair under coat comb

    By on

We purchased the short hair under coat comb for our Bulldog, the combs are so long...maybe a long coat dog like a Springer. Maybe it was a return and wrong size comb put in package?? On the up side, it is very comfortable to hold:)

  • FANTASTIC TOOL!

    By on

This rake is totally amazing. My sweet pup is a chow/terrier mix that has a TRIPLE coat. I could brush her 10 times a day and still get more hair out of her - and I use 3 different brushes on her. Well, THIS rake has replaced ALL of them. It's wonderful. The quality is exceptional; looks like it will last for quite a long time. I'm extremely happy with my purchase and will buy their other products. Thanks!

  • Bad product

I have a Havanese that needs brushing to keep mats from forming. When he gets one, I tries this brush and it did not work. He also cried every time I used it. I had to buy another brush to use and it works much better.

  • Nice brush

Brush feels comfortable in the hand. I have a German Shepard mix and the brush does a good job removing her fur. Ends of bristles are a little sharp so you have to take care not to cause pain to the dog.
