  • Hold applicator tube in an upright position. Pull cap off tube.
  • Turn the cap around and place other end of cap back on tube.

  • The dog should be standing for easy application. The entire contents of the K9 Advantix II tube should be applied evenly on the top of the back from the shoulder to the base of the tail. At each spot, part the hair until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the tube on the skin and gently squeeze to expel a portion of the solution on the skin. Frequently Asked Questions

How is K9 Advantix II different from K9 Advantix?

With the addition of an insect growth regulator (IGR), K9 Advantix II kills all life stages of fleas. K9 Advantix II also prevents development of fleas, flea eggs, larvae (maggots), and pupae (cocoons), and prevents fleas on a treated dog from infesting your home.

What is the benefit of repellency?

Repellency helps prevent ticks, fleas, and mosquitoes from attaching, biting or feeding. A repelled parasite doesn’t bite or attach. If it doesn’t bite or attach, it can’t transmit the organisms that may cause disease.

What is the difference between K9 Advantix II and other tick and flea products?

K9 Advantix II repels and kills ticks, fleas, and mosquitoes. It repels biting flies and kills lice, too. Its repellency activity and broad spectrum make K9 Advantix II different from other tick and flea products.

Is K9 Advantix II waterproof?

Yes. There is no need to reapply the product after weekly swimming or a bath. For best results, use a non-detergent shampoo.

Can I use K9 Advantix II on my cat?

No. K9 Advantix II must not be used on cats because of a cat’s unique physiology and inability to metabolize certain compounds.

  • Still Finding Ticks

    By on

I'm told it will be a very bad year for ticks and that has already proven to be true. I'm in CT and walk my dog regularly. This spring I'm pulling ticks off him regularly, too. After much research and hoping I could use organic controls effectively (I never had success with that) I chose the K9 Advantix II. The next day I removed four ticks. I thought it might take a few days to become effective. I will say, after two weeks there are fewer ticks, but it sure doesn't eliminate them. I check my guy thoroughly every day and remove 4-5 weekly. I think ticks are becoming more resistant to the ingredients. I am now looking into using the topical liquid in conjunction with the collar.

  • Best OTC topical.

    By on

K9 Advantix II pros: It still works. We're in the south and have had no issues with fleas or ticks since starting this. Unlike other brands (Frontline), the formula for Advantix is still going strong. I prefer script medications in tablet form, but ours was on back order so we had to buy this to use for a while. No problems. It's relatively easy to apply. It's well priced. It does not require a prescription. Cons: Dogs with longer coats are a bit harder to dose, as you have to put it to the skin. This is easy to solve, just train your dog to stand-stay. Cat-cuddler dogs need to be separated until the product is well absorbed.

  • Excellent product! Best Price Is At Chewy

    By on

I have always used K9 Advantix II on my german shepherd. Considering my dog's thick and plentiful amount of hair, this is the only flea medicine I have found that is effective. I would recommend this to anybody.. I was impressed with the low price at Chewy. I ordered this and it arrived at my house in two days.. Fast! I will definitely purchase more flea medicine in the future from Chewy, and possibly other pet items too.

  • Best choice!

    By on

It covers fleas, ticks, AND mosquitos. No need for multiple products. Perfect for the dog that likes the outdoors. All of those pests carry diseases, & I want my furbaby protected. My dog also has sensitive skin along with contact allergies to many things. This was the first product I've found that stopped the incessant itching. And Chewy.com ships super fast, so we're never in need.

  • Great product and great price!

    By on

I used to buy my flea and tick from the vet every month but it started to get too expensive so after doing some research I found that this seemed to work great, so I ordered a two pack to test it out (best price I could find was on chewy). I tried the large on my 21 found 7 month old frenchie and it worked great, no side effects or itching. We take him to the dog park at least twice a week so flea and tick protection is a must for us. I did have a couple of questions about the product so I contacted chewy's customer service and they were great! Once I ran out of the 2 pack I immediately ordered the 6 pack. Will be re-ordering once I'm out!

  • Effective

    By on

I've used K9 Advantix II on my dog for years. It's the only topical that keeps her flea free when we're vacationing in an area where there are fleas from the local bunnies, squirrels, deer, other dogs, critters, etc. Just be super careful not to get any on cats. I tried Frontline last year because it wasn't harmful to cats and my dog came home with fleas. She has a flea allergy and was miserable for weeks afterwards. I will never switch again.

  • Still very effective! K-9 Advantix II

    By on

Recently, my Vet told me they no longer carry Advantix because it is not effective any longer (fleas have grown a resistance to it) He then offered a new product that was at least $10 more per treatment. What a racket!! I searched the best price for this product and CHEWY had it for the cheapest!! Was shipped in a flash to me. We are very satisfied with K-9 Advantix II flea and tick and mosquito treatment. THANKS CHEWY!

  • Harmful for cats

    By on

I use Sentinel for heartworm and flea prevention for my dog. In the spring and summer months I need something for tick prevention. I'm trying k9 Advantix for the first time. I bought a six month supply. We shall see how it works. The package has a warning, "keep cats away from treated dogs for 24 hours". For this reason alone I probably will not purchase this product again since I have a cat that interacts with my dog sometimes. However, if you don't have any cats around your dogs this would probably be the best product as it covers more parasites and pests than other brands.
