  • Be sure tube is at bottom of pouch.
  • Using scissors, cut the pouch across the top and remove tube.

How to apply:

  • Use only on dogs.
  • Remove applicator tube from the package. Use scissors and peel down foil.
  • Hold applicator tube in an upright position. Pull cap off tube.
  • Turn the cap around and place other end of cap back on tube.
  • Twist cap to break seal, then remove cap from tube.
  • The dog should be standing for easy application. The entire contents of the K9 Advantix II tube should be applied evenly on the top of the back from the shoulder to the base of the tail. At each spot, part the hair until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the tube on the skin and gently squeeze to expel a portion of the solution on the skin. Do not apply an excessive amount of solution at any one spot that could cause some of the solution to run off the side of the dog.
  • Discard empty tube.
  • In cases of severe pest infestations, retreatment is allowable earlier than 4 weeks. Do not retreat more often than once every 7 days. After pest control is attained, return to a monthly retreatment schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is K9 Advantix II different from K9 Advantix?

With the addition of an insect growth regulator (IGR), K9 Advantix II kills all life stages of fleas. K9 Advantix II also prevents development of fleas, flea eggs, larvae (maggots), and pupae (cocoons), and prevents fleas on a treated dog from infesting your home.

What is the benefit of repellency?

Repellency helps prevent ticks, fleas, and mosquitoes from attaching, biting or feeding. A repelled parasite doesn’t bite or attach. If it doesn’t bite or attach, it can’t transmit the organisms that may cause disease.

What is the difference between K9 Advantix II and other tick and flea products?

K9 Advantix II repels and kills ticks, fleas, and mosquitoes. It repels biting flies and kills lice, too. Its repellency activity and broad spectrum make K9 Advantix II different from other tick and flea products.

Is K9 Advantix II waterproof?

Yes. There is no need to reapply the product after weekly swimming or a bath. For best results, use a non-detergent shampoo.

Can I use K9 Advantix II on my cat?

No. K9 Advantix II must not be used on cats because of a cat’s unique physiology and inability to metabolize certain compounds.

I adopted 2 dogs, a 6 month old samoyed puppy, and just recently a husky. I also have a older dog 14.The deer ticks here in South western Pennsylvania are bad. Everytime they went out, I found them on my dogs, I could see them clearly on my samoyed, but the other 2 are dark colored. I got them off asap, but some I missed. And fleas too. So I ordered the advantix to try to tackle the problem. They still were scratching, and I still found ticks, but they died soon as they started sucking, and the fleas, they were gone. So it did it's job. I didn't see them all over them when they came in. So it works....

  • Fantastic Product

Ordered this product for my female Standard Schnauzer, 8 years old @ 30 lbs, as well as, my female French Bulldog, 14 years old @ 25 lbs.. After I found a flea on the Standard Schnauzer. Our vet wouldn't give us their Revolution Treatment because they want me to bring my French Bulldog (traveling extremely stresses her out) since the breeds avg life span is 9 yrs I'm not going to subject her to unneeded stress. I applied the product, that arrived literally the next day, 2 weeks ago and my husband and myself have both checked them numerous times ~ they're both flea free. I caught the flea situation before it became a full blown infestation so it only required 1 dose per dog. All local stores were selking 2 dose boxes of the same product for $40-$50 USD ea. I can also tell you their customer support is beyond awesome, after placing my order on a Thursday, I called to ask if when I should expect it to arrive. As it was 1 to 2 day shipping and was informed they ship on Saturdays, but as stated above it arrived about 30 hours after ordering. … more

  • Wonderful!

    By on

We have been battling fleas in our yard and on our pup for months. We have tried treating the yard, bathing her consistently, and other topical flea treatments. Within one day of applying this treatment, the fleas were completely gone. We applied it a couple weeks ago and have checked every day, and have yet to see a single flea! I know others mentioned that this irritated their dogs skin, but we didn't notice any significant irritation...maybe some redness the first day.

  • It does the job!

My dog was experiencing mosquito bites so I ordered this brand based on recommendation. No more itching or little bumps under her fur. Was pretty straight-forward as far as flea treatments go. No bad experiences here except I ordered it before the weekend so it took an extra long time to arrive.

  • Coop is still scratching :/

    By on

Made the mistake of trying to find a different flea medicine in the middle of summer without having something to immediately put him on. Wasn't even a full month, but baby boy was swarmed. Got this asap, and the number of fleas had drastically gone down, but he is still scratching a lot. It has been about 2 weeks and I'm considering just giving him a second dose now, but I'm not sure if it is that the meds didn't work or that my roommate's dogs are the cause of his problem.

This is a great product, my dogs are flea free and that makes them and me very happy. What also makes me very happy is the price I get from Chewy and the fact that I can order it and 2 days later its on my doorstep - thank you Chewy!!!

  • K9 Advantix 2

I have used this product (including the earlier version, K9 Advantix) on my dog(s) for years. Pros: 1) highly effective; 2) costs about half as much as newer oral product Nexgard. Cons (minor): 1) makes the dog's back itchy for a day or two; 2) while application takes only a minute, it is a 2-person job, with one person holding the dog still and properly positioned while the other applies the product. I will be switching to an oral product (Nexgard) that is now available at my vet's recommendation. While Advantix II is not hard to use, the monthly oral product will be even easier to administer. However for the typical dog who is not SUPER flexible, and to lessen expenses, Advantix II is fine. … more

  • Easy, not oily, application

    By on

We generally use PetArmor Plus but because of my dog's recent skin allergy breakout we decided to buy K9 Advantix again. I forgot how simple to open the package is, no mess or scissors needed. I applied in 6 spots on my shepard-mixes back and love that it did "run" all down his fur and did not leave big oil/medicine spots in his fur. I hate having to be careful where petting after applying the monthly flea treatment and with K9 Advantix I barely notice it on him at all and have not had residue on my hands with the pets I have given him. Will definitely be switching to K9 Advantix regularly, especially since Chewy offers a 2-pack at a price I can afford in my currently fixed income.
