  • Using scissors, cut the pouch across the top and remove tube.

How to apply:

  • Remove applicator tube from the package. Use scissors and peel down foil.
  • Hold applicator tube in an upright position. Pull cap off tube.
  • Turn the cap around and place other end of cap back on tube.

  • The dog should be standing for easy application. The entire contents of the K9 Advantix II tube should be applied evenly on the top of the back from the shoulder to the base of the tail. At each spot, part the hair until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the tube on the skin and gently squeeze to expel a portion of the solution on the skin. Frequently Asked Questions

How is K9 Advantix II different from K9 Advantix?

With the addition of an insect growth regulator (IGR), K9 Advantix II kills all life stages of fleas. K9 Advantix II also prevents development of fleas, flea eggs, larvae (maggots), and pupae (cocoons), and prevents fleas on a treated dog from infesting your home.

What is the benefit of repellency?

Repellency helps prevent ticks, fleas, and mosquitoes from attaching, biting or feeding. A repelled parasite doesn’t bite or attach. If it doesn’t bite or attach, it can’t transmit the organisms that may cause disease.

What is the difference between K9 Advantix II and other tick and flea products?

K9 Advantix II repels and kills ticks, fleas, and mosquitoes. It repels biting flies and kills lice, too. Its repellency activity and broad spectrum make K9 Advantix II different from other tick and flea products.

Is K9 Advantix II waterproof?

Yes. There is no need to reapply the product after weekly swimming or a bath. For best results, use a non-detergent shampoo.

Can I use K9 Advantix II on my cat?

No. K9 Advantix II must not be used on cats because of a cat’s unique physiology and inability to metabolize certain compounds.

  • Great results with first use

    By on

I had been using Frontline Plus on my 10 year old Lhasa Apso for 10 years and last fall found that it no longer was effective, was finding several fleas a day with a flea comb all through the winter and early spring months. Decided to try this brand and after 3 weeks have not found a single flea. Apparently the difference in the ingredients between Frontline and Advantix is the reason and apparently the fleas had become immune to the Frontline chemicals. Charlie is no longer scratching and itching constantly. I am hoping the next 5 months applications of the 6 ct. box I bought will bring the perfect results of the first one.

  • Awesome!!!

Chewy ships almost immediately right to our door in 2 - 3 day! This is our first try with K9 Advantage. The application was simply and eventually dried so our Cavs fur was not greasy. She is an inside dog however living in sw fla. During rainy season we get a mixture of fleas ticks & mosquitoes.... so she seems great after one application! And the prices at Chewy are great! Very happy to have found them for our Roxy's needs!!!

  • Quickly worked to keep mosquitoes away

    By on

I haven't had problems with fleas and ticks on my dogs but the mosquitoes in my yard would not leave them alone so I needed something to keep them away. I tried K9 Advantix and I haven't seen a mosquito on them since. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I just applied it a week ago so I'm not sure it will last the full month.

  • 2 Weeks That's All You Get

I have four rescue dogs, including two new puppies which I've had now for about a month. When I first applied the Avantix II to them all you could tell it started working in just about 10 minutes as the dogs were biting a little bit. The next morning NO FLEAS, I thought how awesome is this. Skeptical (after other guick fixes that don't last) I waited to write this review. Two weeks later the scratching and itching came back. I looked on the packaging which states you can apply it more often than 30 days but I am on disability and a limited budget making reordering impossible. I grabbed my flea comb and started on one of my puppies, you can see the results in the picture. This is I have four rescue dogs, including two new puppies which I've had now for about a month. • Great repellent!

    By on

Love that it has an option for a 2 pack! I try not to treat with chemicals whenever possible. This year the ticks are really bad so I had no choice, I've been using this for years and it works! When I'm out hiking with my dog I know he is protected against harmful ticks, I never see a tick or a flea on him when using it. He is a corgi and his hair is a bit long so the only drawback is that it makes his hair a bit greasy for a few days after applying it.

  • 1Billion times satisfied!

Even though it has only been 4 days since applying the treatment to my pups...I am very satisfied. I have 4 dogs and one has terribly sensitive skin and one of my boys is a pit/husky with the husky mane and crazy thick coat and I had doubts it would work on him...much less be sensitive enough for my sensitive skin pup. Well, it has not hurt or burned my sensitive skin pup and within an hour my husky pup was just about flea free. My other pups are very happy as well and I truly hope that this topical treatment works as long as it was listed to last. I have been using Trifexis for 6 years. Not only is it expensive but it makes my pups sick and lethargic for about 24 hours. • Have to find the right flea product for my dog ...

    By on

Not saying that K9 Advantix isn't a good product, but have enough pet parent experience to know that not every flea and tick medication is the right one for each individual pet and in this instance, it wasn't the appropriate one for my Sadie. She still itched and scratched after application of the medication, so I shall try a different product for her and hope I find one that works better for her quickly. Thanks!!! p.s. ok, ok, ok ... so she's a little spoiled, I prefer to think of it as well loved!!! :-)

  • Excellent flea and tick protection

    By on

My 4 dogs all use Advantix ll. We tried the Seresto collars and while they were effective, rough play caused them to break and fall off 2 of our dogs. Advantix has been well tolerated and provides me with peace of mind that our wooded back yard is a safer place for them to romp and spend time without bringing critters back in with them. I haven't found any ticks or fleas on my dogs since we started using Advantix months ago. I'm a believer.

  • Awesome product!

I only use this on my two morkies. They are my two kids and are treated better than some children are. Not once have I ever had a flea on them, and if a tick does bite them, by the time I find it, it's dead. Chewy.com is place I will order from for everything from now on. Ordered it on a Monday, and got it on Wednesday.

  • Research, people!!

I've been giving my dog Nexgard which works excellent, but I've recently found a tick latched on and after some research found that it takes TWO days for Nexgard to kill ticks, so I decided I needed an actual repellant before the little buggars even got the chance to bite, thus resorting to Advantix AND Nexgard for this years upcoming nightmarish tick season. While Advantix is also an A+ product, did some more research and turns out it only repels/kills ticks for TWO WEEKS. I'm sorry, but Advantix is not that cheap to have to apply every two weeks to keep the ticks away, which is what my poor boy seems to be prone to playing in our wooded backyard all day.
