  • Remove applicator tube from the package. Use scissors and peel down foil.
  • Hold applicator tube in an upright position. Pull cap off tube.
  • Turn the cap around and place other end of cap back on tube.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is K9 Advantix II different from K9 Advantix?

With the addition of an insect growth regulator (IGR), K9 Advantix II kills all life stages of fleas. K9 Advantix II also prevents development of fleas, flea eggs, larvae (maggots), and pupae (cocoons), and prevents fleas on a treated dog from infesting your home.

What is the benefit of repellency?

Repellency helps prevent ticks, fleas, and mosquitoes from attaching, biting or feeding. A repelled parasite doesn’t bite or attach. If it doesn’t bite or attach, it can’t transmit the organisms that may cause disease.

What is the difference between K9 Advantix II and other tick and flea products?

K9 Advantix II repels and kills ticks, fleas, and mosquitoes. It repels biting flies and kills lice, too. Its repellency activity and broad spectrum make K9 Advantix II different from other tick and flea products.

Is K9 Advantix II waterproof?

Yes. There is no need to reapply the product after weekly swimming or a bath. For best results, use a non-detergent shampoo.

Can I use K9 Advantix II on my cat?

No. K9 Advantix II must not be used on cats because of a cat’s unique physiology and inability to metabolize certain compounds.

  • The Best Deal Ever!!

    By on

So I have a new puppy and I know flea and tick and be very expensive. In my opinion this is the best flea and tick prevention product out there. The problem was everywhere I went to shop for it, it was super expensive, like almost $100 for 6 months. On chewy i saved a TON of money getting it for a little over $50 for 6 months with free 1-2 day shipping and a discount for autoship. You can't beat this. I love Chewy.com

  • It works very well

We changed from Frontline Plus to Advantix II about 6 years ago. We have Super Fleas in Virginia and Frontline Plus just stopped working. Advantix II works very well in our area of the U.S.. We also tried oral flea treatment. Advantix II works on all flea stages and in Virginia, that's critical. Plus it repels biting flies and mosquitoes.

  • Flea infestation is worse!!!

I have been using this for 5 months waiting for results. Sometimes for about 3 days after the treatment there are less fleas, but they ALWAYS come back in huge amounts. Thankfully chewy has a great return policy in case you are unhappy with a product. Overall, I would not recommend this to anyone in hopes of ridding fleas.

  • Something I am going to try

I have heard about this from word of mouth and have done research. My Maltese is my baby and these flea and tick medicines make me nervous. However this seemed to work good and my dog did NOT have a reaction to it. Thank God. So this will be my go to. Price is good and product works.

  • Been using it for years

I have had 4 dogs in my life. My most recent is a chihuahua named Bella. I have used this product for years. It's very simple to use. Simply open the tube and apply to the back of the dog's neck. I guess it works because I have never had a tick problem with any of my dogs that I used it on. The only downside is the cost. I refer to it as Liquid Gold because it is expensive. There are different doses for different size dogs. The larger the dog, the more it costs, which does make sense. It costs about $10 a dose, and that is the cheapest I have found it. It comes in 2, 4, and 6 doses. There may be more dose sizes available but due to the cost, the most I've bought at one time was I have had 4 dogs in my life. • Didn't work for us

    By on

My dog definitely doesn't have a serious flea infestation but he does still gets multiple fleas on him. He's highly allergic to flea bites so it's an issue. My assumption is that this isn't strong enough for states with high flea populations like California

  • Money wasted

    By on

This medication was a hard and large waste of our money, but most importantly of our pets quality & overall happiness in life. I additionally did the usual kickstart of capstar &/or its equivalent treatments along with usual routine of using flea traps & environmental control rituals of washing their bedding and surroundings etc. This product absolutely did not work for my 2 pets. I even made sure was not the same as last 6 month treatment. (Due to flea possible capabilities to adapt/ evolve/ or strengthened flea immunity it was considered when choosing the product at time of purchase.) Terribly disappointed and frustrated! • K9 Advantix II works!

We were looking for a topical that would not only control fleas and ticks, but also mosquitos. K9 Advantix works and the mosquitos that took to munching on my dogs before now tend not to land on them anymore. YEAH!

  • Advantix II effectiveness

Actually the first treatment for my two small dogs has not worked with controlling fleas. I even treated several rooms they stay in with this fog spray. I will see what the next treatment will do for them.

  • Highly recommend

Within the first day I didn't see one flea, and in the weeks since it's still working. I recommend this product as it is the best product I've found so far and is really effective.
