  • Tuff enough

    By on

Initially I thought this was too thin and would only last a few minutes so I put it on the shelf as my 2 hound mixed, 1 1/2 year olds have destroyed every stuffed toy and Frisbee flyer..Took it out about 2 weeks ago this extreme flyer is doing great ...they tug on this and it has surviving so far without a tear... Thanks Kong and Chewy we now have something that's as tuff as them!!!

  • Not thick enough

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

My dog really loves this toy but i expect more from kong. Its not thick and alreddy can see teeth through it. The price is good for the toy but being kong i expected it to hold up better. Id probaly buy agin when it breaks compleetly just because the dogs love it soooo much but i wish it would hold up and i wouldent have to. Over all recomend it because dogs love it but supervise because it can be torn up.

  • Terrible Kong Toy - Expected Better for Extreme

    By on

We have multiple Kong toys and this is the worse we have had. Had the 3 tier pyramid, 2 bones (one regular, one extreme) and a tug toy that have lasted us a long, long time. Bought this frisbee and within 2 weeks, the pup had it destroyed. (She is a boxer/mastiff 10 mo old power chewer - so yes buying toys to last is hard, BUT Kong toys have always lasted). Knowing this, I figured it was a 1 off failure. Ordered a 2nd and again within 2 weeks - destroyed. Picture attached, but both frisbees went the exact same way. It seems the material is simply too thin (a thick rubber frisbee is not a bad idea) for any type of larger breed dog. Giving the rep for other Kong extreme toys - very disappointed We have multiple Kong toys and this is the worse we have had. • Kong Extreme Flyer - not so good

    By on

I typically by the standard red (large) Kong flying disk for my German Shepherd (to date I have bought 4 or 5 from Chewy.com). I recently bought this black Kong Extreme Flyer. I thought "extreme" meant that it was better in some way....WRONG!!! This flyer was thinner, very floppy and flies like garbage. Don't waste your money on it.

  • Shredded in seconds by small dog

    By on

So I bought this for a 5 month old border collie that loves frisbees thinking hey itll be durable and a good frisbee for a long time. WRONG Not even 3 throws and it was ripped nearly in half, not by chewing just fetch, he doesn't make marks on hard plastic frisbees but tends to warp them. Well after seeing it tear easily his older brother chased it down and got it from him. Within 45 seconds it was completely shredded in pieces. We are talking within 3 minutes of removing from the chewy box. Extremely disappointed

  • Gone in 60 seconds

    By on

My lab puppy Kooper and I tried playing fetch upon receiving this toy. I was able to throw it 3 times before it started ripping along the edge. Kooper has many other Kong toys which have held up much better than this one. I believe this was cheaply made and too thin to last for a good amount of time.

  • Destroyed in seconds

    By on

My dog received this literally less than 10 mins ago. I threw it for him 4 times...the edges are already ripped and torn from him grabbing it and flipping it around bringing it back to me. He's not a BIG dog - English Shepherd - 5 months old!

  • great!

    By on

Easy to toss especially when wet or covered with snow. They fly like the wind and more easily than the red Kong frisbees. The dog loves them but I still think she prefers to catch and carry and collect the red version best. I keep her running with 5 red Kong frisbees and 4 black version of the Kong frisbees; she love to collect and carry anywhere from 5 - 6 at a time so I need one or two left behind for me to toss to keep her running!! Absolutely recommend with no reservations. Black are best in the snow. Red are great in the warmer weather when dry outside.

  • Not durable

    By on

This flyer did not last a week. We purchased 3 of them. Two of them are no longer able to be used. We bought these being a King product. It seems this Kong product is really not worth it and did not live up to the Kong expectations and is not as durable as described.

  • The red kong flyer is heavier than the black one!!

    By on

The red flyer is heavier then the black one!! And with the way they fold it to package it don't fly that well! It is even lighter then the red one? I got a red one a few years ago and that red flyer was even heavier then the red one that a friend bought just reciently for my dog and he loves the flyer but is very hard on them! I would not buy the black one again!
