  • Center pulls out? Not to worry!

    By on

I noticed that some reviewers were unhappy because it is possible to pull the middle out of this ball. With work. And doggy determination. That's true! But unless your dog is ONLY interested in the squeaker and not in the bouncing, rolling, catching, chewing -- it doesn't really matter. In fact, in our house, it has turned out to be a bonus. My dog chews on that ball obsessively, squeaking the living daylights out of it, until eventually (it takes him about a week) he manages to pull the middle out, which also de-squeaks the ball. Know what we have then? A DIFFERENT ball! One that is hollow, and even better for throwing because you can lob it off one finger. Our last one got so old that the color faded to near-translucent, but it was still entirely usable. Usually, their demise comes from getting lost somewhere. I order these 2 at a time -- one for back-up in case of said loss -- and my lab mix is never happy unless he has his Kong ball in his possession. All day, every day. And as a p.s., the hollowed ball is also lightweight enough to be very safe indoors. I have a pretty nifty ricochet shot off the living room wall... . … more

  • Good squeak ball

    By on

The Kong squeak ball is pretty good. Not as tough as a regular Chuckit, but certainly stands up to many games of fetch. If you've got a "power chewer", don't let him gnaw on this for too long. It takes us about 2 weeks of 'go to the park and play fetch' for Pavlov the Doberman to break the squeaker on one of these. That's not bad considering time and time again he broke the squeaker on the Chuckit ball in the first 10 minutes of fetch. (I'm a slow learner. I kept rebuying Chuckit squeaky balls. Mistake.) Pavlov the Doberman is not allowed to chew the Kong at home as he will separate the seams fairly quickly, whereas he can chew on a Chuckit ball to his hearts content without damaging it beyond The Kong squeak ball is pretty good. To sum it up, if you have a Pavlov the Doberman type living with you, buy the Kong ball for it's squeaker, but not it's chewing endurance. Buy a Chuckit for sheer endurance, but don't pay extra for the squeaker. … more

  • Great bouncing ball!

    By on

My dogs like this ball. It bounces great. It is a bit tougher to squeeze for the squeak, though. If I leave them unsupervised, they would chew it apart. So, I put them away after playtime. Keeps my dogs safe, the balls safe, and they don't get bored with them. They're always happy and interested when I bring the balls out for play. I wish we could choose the color of this ball. My dog can't find his green ball in the grass.

  • Molly Girl

    By on

At first, Molly wasn't quite sure about her new Kong sweeze toy. Differest kind of sound perhaps? Decided to just leave it be and she finally learned the toy wasn't a threat. So, all is okay now. She loves her original Kong stuffed with treats and some peanut butter. She inherited that from our beloved Steve who died last year. I'm happy she loves it as much as Steve did.

  • Durable!!!!!!

    By on

I used to just get the giant squeaky tennis balls for my Alaskan malamute, however he would destroy them within a weeks time. Tried out kong squeezz ball and not only does he love it but he hasn't destroyed it yet! He's had it for over 2 weeks now and the squeaker still works.

  • Thought it was going to last, I was wrong

    By on

So I have some heavy duty chewers and purchase lots of kong products and I was hoping this ball would last but it didn't make it pass day 2. The center piece came completely out. My dogs need to be testers for new toys I swear, if they can't get through it no dog would be able to. Good thought but needs to be more durable.

  • Poodle loves his Kong Ball

    By on

I have a very active standard poodle that enjoys chewing up his toys. He loves playing ball so I bought this thinking he would have great fun and not destroy it. Well I was right and he is really putting it to the test but it holds up great. Love how it bounces all over because it makes it interesting for him and gives him a really good work out for his high energy level. Great toy!

  • Squeaky and Chewy

    By on

Our dogs LOVES these balls. He fav toys are things that are soft and chewy and squeaky. Instead of using the power chewer stuffed toys (which he destroys in 15 min) we tried these balls and he loves these more than the plush toys! We think they last so long because he can't get the toy to his back teeth as well to tear into the toy so they lost a lot longer. He just chews and chews on these bad boys all day long and they don't break for a week or more (this is a record for us)!

  • not as tough as I thought

    By on

I thought this would be a tough ball for my Italian Mastiff to conquer but she had it chewed enough to rip a piece out in less then 3 hours. She did have 3 hours of good chewing on it and she still plays with it and chews on it trying to get another chunk off the ball. I will be getting her another one of these with the next order.

  • gave it a second try

    By on

After the first ball went into the trash after half an hour, I ordered a second one. It was exactly the same: the inner part separated from the outer ring in a few minutes. Not made for tough chewers. She is a giant schnauzer and loves to squeeze the balls. Hello Kong, can you please manufacture this ball in one piece?? Would be perfect!
