  • Kong quality has gone downhill

    By on

A few years ago, I bought a Kong wubba that lasted forever even with three dogs. It was very sturdy and held up well. Once that one finally went kaput I bought another, only to find in the interim the quality and durability of the wubba had significantly decreased. The dogs are able to tear them to shreds with in a day or so now and the outer material is noticeably thinner and flimsy. The dogs do enjoy playing with it, and with the excellent price I got on Chewy I guess it's ok that it won't last too long, but Kong definitely isn't backing up their reputation with the wubba anymore.

  • Fun Toy But Not Indestructible

    By on

My dogs love this toy, its their favorite to play with outside. However they are both moderate to heavy chewers, so they cant just have this in the house by themselves. I tried once and part of one of the "tentacles" (?) was half chewed off before I took it away. However outside were they arent going to sit and just chew it, its great. I can through it pretty far (i have the medium i think), it stands up to tugging and the squeeker still works well after heavy use. Its just not something i would say stands up to moderate to heavy chewing.

  • Watch out! They come in different sizes

    By on

I have 2 medium size dogs. The first time I purchase these, I did not realize they come in different sizes. I got the small ones. My dogs destroyed them within hours. I decided to try them again since I found they had larger ones. With the later Wubba my dogs love them but watch out, my dogs love to throw these and their aim is terrible. We take them outside where they will not break anything. They will play with them for hours and they have not destroyed them. Will buy again.

  • Think it gives Kona a tummy ache?

Our lab mix has had 2 of the furry Wubba's and loves them. I decided to order her the fabric type to see if it would take her longer to destroy. She likes it, however, in the process of destroying it she has not felt very well. She rips off the fabric and chews on it naturally as dogs will do. I'm guessing it's being ingested as well. She'd go outside and try to vomit and then eat a bunch of grass. I took this Wubba away from her after a day or so and she hasn't been eating grass or wanting to vomit. It's a strong toy and I'd recommend this toy. We will stick to the furry Wubba though.

  • Not for heavy chewers

    By on

Have purchased Wubbas in the past for my bulldog, who is an adept chewer. Was very happy with them -- they lasted for months. The last just finally "died" a couple of weeks ago, so I ordered these two replacements. Even though it is the exact same bulldog, neither of these replacements lasted for even an hour. The weave on the fabric does not now seem to be very tough. And the balls beneath the fabric can be easily torn apart if the fabric fails. Did Kong change to a less expensive fabric? Today's Wubba does not stand up to a heavy chewer. Very disappointed.

  • Bit of a disappointment

    By on

I ordered the x-large Wubba for my pit/boxer pup. We received it the last week in July. He loves playing with it, but as of last week (a two week span), had managed to rip through the fabric and eaten a little of one of the tennis balls. I thought Kong made really high quality dog toys. Sad that I was wrong.

  • Sturdiest Tug Ever

    By on

This is the second one of these I have purchased. The first one was stolen by some playful foxes that pass through our property and I am sure it is still holding up well. The squeaker gets my dogs excited and they play keep away and tug with it almost every day. It is indestructible!

  • Not for tough chewers

    By on

Our dog loved it and did play with it like crazy but she managed to destroy it in 2 days. So if you have heavy chewer i would not recommend. We have a Lab/dachshund mix so this is just crazy that she went through it so fast.

  • Dog loves them but...

My dog gets so excited when he sees these coming out of the box! Unfortunately he (part beagle/shepherd) tears through the material within a day. Has never destroyed the white ball inside though and still plays tug of war with the torn up cloth.

  • Not for chewers

    By on

Within two hours the first ball was out and had to be taken away because he was eating it. Within another hour the larger one was popped and I was picking pieces of the toy up all over the house. I am convinced there is no such thing as an indestructible toy that a dog likes
