Our golden retriever Lucie is now more secure and comfortable when riding in the back seat and leash walking is much better than with the traditional collar.

I Love the Kurgo tru-fit harness, It fits my dog great.
I feel she is safe, because of the steel buckles and enhanced strength it offers. The harness is easy to adjust and put on and off. I really recommend this Kurgo Harness.

Rated 5 out of 5 by qm2das Very safe and secure!! Dog loves it too! Can't recommend it enough!!!
I couldn't recommend this product enough!!! It is incredibly secure and very adjustable to fit my retriever/pointer mutt perfectly!!! The design of the metal buckles are different than anything out there on the market and are super durable. They really do seem like they can hold up to nearly anything. I can easily lift my 70 pound dog by the back of the harness and I am completely confident that it would hold her safely in the event of a crash. Car safety for both me and my animals is a must and I love that this harness is even crash tested! Knowing that a large dog like mine hitting me in the head during a crash would be equivalent to being hit in the head by an SUV, I trust that this harness will keep everyone safe. As an added bonus, my dog feels so much safer in the car because she knows that the harness holds her in place. She no longer slips and slides off the seat and can nap soundly for the whole ride. Love love love this product!!! Definitely a must for anyone wanting to transport their canine!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nora14 Less expensive than the Sleepy pod
I researched car harnesses for dogs and the Sleepy pod click- it got the best ratings, but was very expensive.I think the Kurgo Tru-fit harness is the best alternative to the click- it. It seems well made and has been tested. It is a little difficult to figure out how to use the nesting buckle, but once you figure out how to slide it together it is very easy to do and is probably much more secure than a plastic clip together configuration. My puppy is about 45 pounds and the large is quite a bit too big, but will work until she grows into it. I would not recommend sizing up at all if your dog is full grown. I like the seat belt loop that comes with the harness, but I also bought the direct to seat belt tether to leave in the vehicle we use the most since it is just a little quicker to get our pup in and out of the car with it. We leave a hook up in both cars at all times now, so all we have to do is put the harness on and go. Chewy.com shipped everything quickly and their satisfaction guarantee is excellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ginger Great product unless your dog can't sit still
Bought large for our 56 pound labradoodle and medium for his 46 pound sister. Good quality; size true based on weight of the dog; easy to put on the dogs. Unexpected issue: our female dog is very hyperactive in the back seat - constantly moving around (one reason we bought the harness in order to better secure her for long trips). Within 5 minutes of the first trip, she managed to unbuckle the seat belt by stepping on the car buckle release button. (Nothing to do with the product itself - suggest you ensure your dog is trained to sit still in back seat else the main purpose of the product is defeated.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by BoxerMom Great Harness
The harness is sturdy, adjusts for a great fit, and slips easily over our dogs' head. Our boxer seems very comfortable in it. Other reviews mentioned that it was difficult to fasten; not for us. It did take a day or two; no big deal. The reason I only gave four stars is that it is beginning to rust. Our boxer girl loves to run through sprinklers and large mud puddles. Now that summer is here she will be swimming every chance she gets. We've had the harness for about six weeks now and expect the rust to increase. Darn. We love the harness. Not the rust
