Rated 1 out of 5 by LAH1 Well made product my dog isn't really interested in
My dog, Liv, is very treat driven but has minimal interest in this toy. She will work to get the treat if I take the cups out of the base and place the treats under them for her. She shows some interest if I place the cups in the base in a way that's easier for her to get at. That interest is quickly lost if she is unable to get to the treat. She shows no interest if the cups are placed in the base as they are designed to be. Liv is a small rescue dog who hasn't showed much interest in playing with toys. I purchased this in hopes of tapping into her high interest in treats and sniffing things out. Unfortunately, not a hit with her.

Definitely not for Timid dogs, scared her the noise it made, even put peanut butter in there which she loves and has a strong order and that did not even encourage her to look for the treat

Rated 4 out of 5 by roro Puppy loves it!
It only took a few times for my pup to figure how best to get the cups out (i.e. lift them out with his mouth instead of batting them with his paws), but he still loves this puzzle.
One unexpected thing was he *loves* the cups themselves. It's hard to tell from the picture but they are rounded/domed on top. So if they hit the floor or drop they wobble or bounce around in unexpected ways. My puppy can easily amuse himself just by batting, pushing and chasing the cups around. So it's good that he found another way to enjoy the toy.
Also, while I will say he's little and not the biggest chewer, the plastic has held up very well after much playing time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Michelle Good introduction puzzle
This is an awesome buy when you know the appropriate personality and ability of the dog you are introducing it to. You want this to be a bit puzzling (no pun intended!) but motivating enough to where the dog is curious on how to get the treat. Encouragement might be needed in the beginning, but don't give up! It's also really easy to make the puzzle easy- more difficult by making the treats scarce so their nose has to hone in on the scent to retrieve.
If your dog is a rough pup, you may need something more durable at first until they learn to be more dexterous with their mouth and paws.

This puzzle was a lot harder for my dog than I thought. It take her awhile but she can eventually get it! Definitely get her brain going.

I was looking for a time occupying and challenging toy for my two pets. I don't understand the point of it. As soon as I fill it up with treats and I put it on the floor with one paw my husky knocks it all over releasing all the treats at once and creating a ridiculous clutter. I used it once and won't again.

This is a great first puzzle toy for my dogs. I got it for my German Shepherd puppy and he figured it out quickly and my 7 year old Beagle/Dachshund mix even got interested and figured it out as well. They love playing with it.
