I'm sure these are very tasty as they smell great but my dog prefers soft treats to hard ones. She ate the ones I gave her which means she likes them but her initial hesitation gives me pause. If your pup likes crunchy snacks definitely give these a try. Since this was our first bag we have more testing to do.

  • My Dogs Really Liked Them!

I don't normally buy too many of these smaller treats since I have multiple dogs and they go through the small bags fast. This was on sale on Chewy and it's the same brand as the dog food I feed them, so I thought why not give it a try. My dogs really loved these. They come in cute pie piece shapes. I just received and opened mine today and so far, I haven't found any broken pieces (but I'm not down to the bottom of the bag yet). I should note that these arrived in the same box as a 30 lb. bag of Merrick dog food, so I was kind of surprised to not see more breakage. The treat bag was even underneath the dog food bag when I opened the box. The treat bag was even underneath the dog food bag when I opened the box. When I first opened the bag, they had kind of a burnt french fry smell to them. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't what I expected. That didn't stop my dogs, who happily ate them within seconds. They are also pretty hard, so definitely not a good treat to use for training (since you can't break them into smaller pieces easily) and probably not great for dogs with dental issues. Makes a great quick snack or occasionally reward, though! … more

My great dane has been known to be a little picky and tends to like soft, chewy treats, but she loves these! And I love the ingredient list :)

Lab/Shepherd mix dog loves all the Merrick Treats Small treat-about 1 1/2-2" long, shaped like a piece of pie. Fits quickly in your pocket on your way out the door. Chewy has the best price for these treats

  • My dog likes them, but poor packaging = breakage

These treats are made with wholesome ingredients and my dog likes the smell/taste of them no matter how they look, but they were shipped in a box alone with NO protection whatsoever (like tissue paper, protective envelope..) and lots of them arrived crushed. The conveniency of this product as quick rewards or treats for training is kinda diminished due to the breakage. I recommend biscuits and other treats from the brand that produces these, as their commitment to using wholesome nutritional ingredients is great, but the packaging/shipment on this one was just off. A day or two before I got these i was sent another box I ordered from Chewy and those products were properly protected/no breakage These treats are made with wholesome ingredients and my dog likes the smell/taste of them no matter how they look, but they were shipped in a box alone with NO protection whatsoever (like tissue paper, protective envelope..) and lots of them arrived crushed.
