  • Dog didn't like them, but maybe your dog will...

    By on

There are not many items that my dog won't eat but these have made that list. I was shocked because he loves all other organ type treats but these he just spit out. But that doesn't mean other dogs won't love them. I will say these are not good training treats. Even if your dog does eat them, they are not good for most training sessions. I wanted to get a high reward treat to get him to go in his crate when we go out and to also be a distraction if he got too interested in the cat. So for me a treat that was about 1/2 to 1 inch square that is hard and would require him to spend a few minutes to soften and chew was perfect. • All the dogs ADORE these!!

    By on

I have two Gordon Setters who are members of a neighborhood pack of 12. Every single dog, large and small, LOVES these treats. They are easily broken into bite-size portions, although the pups would prefer the big chunks. Even the fussiest dog will gobble these up! My friend calls them "doggie cocaine". This year I bought the small bags to give as gifts and everyone was thrilled to receive them. Can't recommend them more highly!!!

  • Love the Lamb!

    By on

This is the perfect training treat. It's dry, so no mess. It is also almost odorless to me, but not to the dog. Even my rambunctious puppy pays attention when I have lamb lung in my hand. I cut the pieces into smaller bits so I can work on training for quite a while with only a small piece.. Lamb lung is high quality protein that is good for the dog too. One caveat...if I put the bits in my pocket while training, my dog can smell it long after the training session. One torn pocket later, I've learned to change my clothes after training.

  • Lamb Lung Treats

My dogs lose their minds for these treats and I carry a handful in my pocket whenever we're out and about which make all the neighborhood dogs totally love me too. There's nothing like a high value treat to make training fun and effective.

  • Dogs love them, too big for training

    By on

This is a great treat, and our dog loves them. If they weren't being sold as a training treat, it would get 5 stars. Training treats are usually pretty small, since you are typically giving several during a training session. I need something they can eat quick so we can move on. They don't break well either. These are too big for "training" in the traditional sense, however my dog will do anything to get one.

  • Meh. They're giant.

These are GIANT, especially if you're looking for "training" treats. I usually will break up or cut up treats that are too big for training, and I could NOT do that with these. They kind of crumbled, or just refused to let me cut through. It took my 90 lb Rott at least 5 seconds to chew one, and the puppy would lay down to eat it. I definitely could not use them for training, even a larger dog, let alone a young puppy. Also, as they're randomly sized, I had to rummage around to find three similarly sized ones for going in crates at night (which is what I wound up using them for). At the end of the bag, there was QUITE a bit of crumbly treats (probably 3-4 treats worth). Not the end of the These are GIANT, especially if you're looking for "training" treats. I still gave them 2 stars, as the dogs DO like them (although not noticeably more-so than other treats), and I DID use them for going in their crates. Honestly, if you're EXPECTING a "much larger than training-treat" treat, and don't mind extremely inconsistent sizing, they aren't a bad treat. … more

  • Great for a picky pup

    By on

Our pup is not particularly food motivated, but she will pay attention to training when we incorporate these into lessons. They are probably 1x1 inch pieces so we like to break them up a bit smaller, you have to use a rolling pin though.

  • Not Recommended for puppies

very hard, tough to break up, theyre nice treats to use a treat training bigger dogs but not young puppies who need a quick small reward

  • Too big to be Dog Training Treats

    By on

Too big to be a training treat plus they are hard and require chewing. My dog does like them, but not good for training purposes.

  • GREAT LAMB LUNG

GREAT FOR YOUR DOG. HEALTHY AND NON FATTENING. 1 piece/day after a 2 mile walk is enough to keep weight down.
