Whole Earth Farms Puppy Recipe Dry Dog Food is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 68.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than purina My German Shepard pup has been itching a lot less since switching to this food. But it's a little harder so I have to mix beef broth + water for her to be able to eat it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality product reasonable price This particular dog food is quality as well as reasonably priced. The only thing I wish is that we could buy this larger than a 30lb bag.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality but maybe not right for my pup Bought this because I wanted something that didn't have wheat, soy, or corn. I have a 6 month old malamute/collie mix that was fed Beaverdam by the breeder. It's too hard to find and too expensive for me so wanted something quality but cheaper and more easily acquired. -I like the ingredients -like that the kibble doesn't have a strong odor -price is good for quality and quantity However, maybe I switched his food too quickly because I didn't have much beaverdam left, but my pup's stools are really soft and sometimes full blown diarrhea. It's been 4 weeks since I switched him so I was hoping it would harden up but still mudlike. I can even hear his stomach/intestines making sounds sometimes. I'm going to finish the bag and slowly switch him to Diamond Naturals lamb large breed puppy formula. The breeder says malamutes have sensitive stomachs and my vet favors lamb diets so I'm going to try that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Blondie Loves this! We just started Blondie, our American Stafordshire/American Pit Bull cross, and she loves this food. She was on a well known national brand puppy chow before and while it's not a terrible food, this is certainly more wholesome and Blondie loves the flavor. We don't have to mix in any canned with it, and her throughput is better as a result.....not as gooey and easier to clean of there's a puppy accident. Her energy levels since she started this food are also off the hook! Instead of puppy bouncing off the walls, chasing the cat and playing, it's puppy bounces off the ceiling chasing the cat and playing. Our cat also seems to like the puppy food and Blondie will actually share it with her Feline Momma Cat. All in all, we're going to continue her with this food assuming no issues crop up later like food allergy, although I suspect that will be very unlikely given the ingredients.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! My pup has done great with this food. He is half pitbull and half American bulldog. The man I got him from was giving him ol Roy. In my area the best food I could get from the store was iams. (I live in a small town) he ate that until i was able to order a higher quality online. I came across this website and read reviews that merrick was a great brand and the price was wasn't expensive either. The first week or so his stools were very soft. It was a big transition for him since he was being fed such poor food. Now that he has adjusted his poos are formed and small. His coat is very shiny and soft. He is very healthy and full of energy. His muscles are forming great and is very strong. He absolutely loves it and the vet has had nothing but great things to say about him. This food goes a long way as well. He gets full quickly from a smaller portion vs a bigger serving from the other food. The only downfall is his gas is absolutely terrible and his poos are very stinky. He goes in the back and sometimes when the wind is just right the smell will linger to the front. Not that it's a major problem. Just part of my review. I would definitely recommend this food to others. He has been on this food for about 4 months now and he is 6 months old. Even the cats try to steal from his bowl lol another thing to add is they look like coco puffs only smaller. If your dog is a quick eater he will choke. After about 3-4 times of spitting up my dog has now learned to pace himself with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Standard Poodle Pups Love This I am in rescue, mainly Standard Poodles. Some rescues arrive having been fed other foods so I slowly transition Whole Earth Farms ( by Merrick) into their food & some arrive with no knowledge of what they have been fed. All the new arrivals love it. I also feed it to any pup from Yorkies, toy & miniature poodles, Chinese Crested, & an Airedale. Out of 11 puppies, I only had one who had slightly runny stools which lasted one day. I think it was the stress of riding in a plane. I highly recommend this food. Merrick is made in the USA and sold at high quality dog suppliers. I know of several breeders, show dogs, standard poodles who retrieve, & of course, those of us who have standards for companions. ( my adults eat this brand in the adult formula also). For the cost, you can't beat the quality.
