  • LEFT ONE AT AUNT JOLEY'S

    By on

We purchased this 48" crate in 2015 for our rottweiler puppy, Han. We travel a lot to family and friends and take the crate with us so it has stood the test of time with lots of use. I have not had any rust problems like others mention. Easy to fold and set up. Han is now 120+ pounds and fits comfortably in his "bed." Since I travel to my sister's home often in Orlando, we decided to leave his crate there this weekend and buy a new one so I don't have to pack it. We folded it and put it in her garage. The folded crate takes up so little space. At this affordable price, why not!?

  • Great crate, puppy loves it.

I have a 14 lb mini poodle and he's never minded the crate but he really loves this big spacious one. I turned it to the side and it's his palace now. He's crated when we aren't home still and this one allows him space to move around. I read from another review one of the reasons this one is a little more expensive than the other similar one is that it has rollers on the bottom so you don't have to use a towel or worry about it scratching the floor. The extra money for that was well worth it for our wood floors.

  • Could Use a Modification..

    By on

I do like these crates for my little dogs, but I really wish they improved the way to divide it. I bought one, hoping to put both my small dogs in and divide them, but if you put the divider in there is No Way to let the one out Unless you Remove the Divider. I ended up having to just buy another one and not use the divider, which I was really hoping to use.

  • Great dual door

    By on

I needed a crate with a door on the side for where we planned to keep it. It's perfect! Our crate is staying in place at home and not traveling so the handle and the easy fold isn't as big a deal but nice. I love the price in comparison to other crates of the same size.

  • Midwest Crate

We borrowed our neighbors crate for a year, and now purchased our own. This is a great tool to keep our pet out of trouble and safe when we have to leave the house for a short time. She also enjoys sleeping in the crate with a dog bed and/or blankets at night. I used to think the size would be too small but it seems to be a just right size. The cage is easy to clean, lightweight but sturdy, it has a handle to carry up or downstairs, which we only use when our pet is not inside of the crate, otherwise I would hold the bottom just for safety.

  • Delighted with Crate

My 12 pound miniature poodle is long, so I ordered the 30" option for her. She prefers it to the plastic kennel carrier I bought for her previously. I plan to buy the 24" version of this in the future for transportation purposes-- longer-term-kenneling, the 30" obviously has more room and is kinder. The 30" Mocha Swirl Pet Bed (also sold by Chewy) works perfectly in this kennel for a softer, more comfortable floor than a blanket or basic fleece pet bed.

  • Rusted too soon!

    By on

Love the size of the crates for our dogs but we have had them 2 months set up in the home and actually used less than a handful of times and already rusted. Love chewy, but this is not one of their better products. Very disappointed.

  • Best wire crate

    By on

I have several wire crate. I think the midwest is worth the extra few dollars that it costs a few dollars more than other brands. The difference in it from other wire crates I have a small, but important details. For example, there are rubber feet so that you don't need something underneath to protect wood floors and the plastic tray is a little better than cheaper brands.

  • Everything advertised

Purchased for a Shih Zhu pup ordered online on a Thursday was delivered that Saturday...crate is as sturdy as advertised, the price is also very competitive as I researched other places before making my purchase. Only one handle was in the box I called the 800 number in the packaging and the other handle was delivered within a week. I'm officially a Chewy and Midwest customer great service and products from both!!

  • Excelent crate. Sturdy construction

    By on

Despite what you read this kennel is very sturdy. I have a 10 month old German Shepard & realising he will grow large I ordered the 48 Inch model in Junbe of 2017. The material is very sturdy & I only had one slight problem with one latch lining up by maybe 2mm or 3mm it was easily fixed with a little elbow grease. My dog loves this kennel & its nice that they include a divider to shorten up the space to make her feel more comfortable. I do recommend that you purchase the MidWest Stainless Steel Snap'y Fit Dog Kennel Bowls that you can snugly attach to the kennel & easily remove the bowls for cleaning without removing the mounts. they also prevent messy pups from spilling food & water all over Despite what you read this kennel is very sturdy.
