Rated 5 out of 5 by This is a really great crate i was totally surprised to open the box and find that this is a very sturdy crate. And so easy to construct. July 24, 2016

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Sturdy Crate! We originally purchased a similar crate from a local pet store but it was not as sturdy as we hoped. After reading reviews on the Midwest Life Stages crate we ordered it. When it arrived it was easy to set up and a very sturdy crate! It works very well for our puppy. I would recommend it! My only slightly negative comment is that the only thing is the latches do not line up evenly so it takes a little bit to get them latched. Overall I recommend and would order again! Chewy.com is an awesome site! Chriss July 18, 2016

Rated 4 out of 5 by Useful for What We Needed Needed a larger crate for our 80+ pound, 8 mo. old Lab puppy who had recently learned how to move his ‘puppy pen’ to wherever he wanted (as it would slide on the wood floors). It seems big enough for what we presently need, which is a space to keep him out of trouble when he can’t be supervised. Went with this version vs. the ACE as I was not sure how the new latches would work and these slide latches I know I can ‘lock shut’ with a clip if need be (as I have had both Border Collies and Shepherds, so know some dogs can be very smart about opening things). As to the quality, it is nothing like my 20+ year old MW crate that is built like a tank, and I do not think it would prevent a dog that really wants out from getting out, but for a dog that does not mind being crated, it serves the purpose for us so far (but note that I have only had a couple weeks, so time will tell). As to the quality, I wouldn’t say it was built using the strongest wire, or that things couldn’t be bent/broken with enough force, but for a well-mannered/trained dog, it should work fine. I do wonder a bit about the chew-ability of the tray, but that is with any crate, esp. with chewers or puppies. The sides also do not line up with the top as well as they should, so there is a bit of ‘offset’ to the top-line (as in, it is not straight), but is does not seem to affect the functionality so far. There is also a gap between where the tray slides in and the tray itself that could potentially cause an issue if a paw or nose were to get wedged in there accidentally, but don’t know if it just due to the ‘imperfect’ alignment of the crate or just the way it looks to me being that this model is bigger than any I’ve had before (as all my other ones are 36”s). As to the seller, this was my first purchase from Chewy, but the process of getting it from here went very smooth and the ability to easily return if I was not happy was what sold me to get from here vs. other outlets. They even called to confirm things with me prior to processing to make sure everything was in order. July 25, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by 36" Dog Crate is perfect. Our puppy loves it. We've never used a crate before and we've owned five Golden Retrievers. When our last one passed two months ago and we got a new puppy, the breeder was adamant we pick our pup up in a crate. We are so happy we did. He sleeps all night in his crate and is only 10 weeks old. We are sold on this particular crate as it is safe and easy to open and close. July 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome crate! Had a smaller crate for my Jack Russell. But decided to try a bigger one & maybe he'd be happier going in it! It seems to be much better for him. I like the size & it has 2 doors with 2 sliding locks & wheels. He hasn't been able to escape yet! And the price was great!! July 15, 2016
