MidWest Life Stages Double Door Dog Crate is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 549.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from My Crate Choice Due to Best Online Reviews Overall Seems to be a decent crate all in all. There is a problem however, with the front end door being rather difficult to open/close as it is tight on the left side and it sticks. I hope it will loosen up with use. When I called "Chewy" about that, I was told that a few people commented on the same door issue. I appreciated the honesty. My 6 1/2 months old pup decided to pee in her crate, so I am going to continue keeping her in her former crate a bit longer and then switch her back a little later on to the new/larger crate. The new larger crate allows her to stand with her head up rather than hunched over which is great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love the two door system I shopped around and this was a great price on this crate. I bought the 36 for my 45lb. pit and it works great. She has plenty of room and does not mind her crate at all. I have also owned this same crate for 10 years in a 24 for my min pin. His crate has held up great. It has some wear especially around the handles, but still works great! I love the two doors because it gives me options for where to place the crates.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from My dog hurts his foot on this! I want to start by saying I have the e pen by Midwest and I love the quality. Sadly, my puppy was constantly getting his foot stuck on the front part of this crate! There is a 1-2 inch ledge at the bottom of the front gate/door that his foot slips right into, even with fitted, padded bedding inside! My puppy (Rottweiler) who was 12 lbs at 7 weeks old when we got him and is now 78 lbs at 6.5 months, has hurt his foot running into or out of this kennel a total of about 4 times :( We will hear him let out a loud yelp and see him laying there holding his foot up and bent/crooked. It has happened to both his front and back feet and we are hoping since he is a growing puppy that nothing serious will come from his injuries. He is usually up and walking within minutes of hurting his foot but he really does get hurt and for that reason, I would not recommend this to someone who has an energetic puppy that likes to run in/out of his/her kennel from time to time

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Crate This was a great crate but it was just a little too big for what I needed. The double doors are convenient and it was simple to set up. I decided to return it and Chewy had a refund on its way in minutes. In the end Chewy did not make me return the product so I donated it to our local stray animal foster program and they were happy to have it. 10/10 for customer service!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best crate I found for the price I researched several reviews before deciding on this crate for my new pup. I was worried about him being safe in it since he had previously gotten his teeth/mouth stuck in another wire gate. So far the gate is working out great after about 2 weeks of use. I like that it has 2 separate doors and is good quality and sturdy. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I wish the doors swung all the way open to fold back onto itself so it wouldn't block the area in front of the gate when the door is open.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than expected! This cage is made with substantial heavy rounded gauge metal and I first checked for any sharp edges or ends, finding not a one. Putting it together was very easy, but a display and instruction sheet were included. There is a partition that is optional installation but included with the cage. I don't intend to use this so I just placed it on top of the assembled cage and attached the handles to hold it in place. Probably sounds complicated but it was very easy. I like having the two doors, and, unlike my other cage, I do not have to open the door entirely for my pup to get in or out. I primarily use this for him to sleep in, but wouldn't feel guilty if he had to be caged during the day because of the extra room for food/water dishes and toys. It was taller than I expected giving my pup more room. He's a 12 lb Shi Tzu/Chihuahua mix so it's extra roomy for him, but my 55 lb lab crawled into it the other night and made herself comfortable. In fact my 2 1/2 year old grandson thinks it's the perfect little fort, and he's not small. I am very satisfied with this purchase, and would highly recommend it. I hope this helps if you are looking for a pet crate/cage. I'm sorry no pictures, I've seldom reviewed a product, but feel strongly about this item. Perhaps I can edit later with photos. Also, shipment and receipt were very timely and trackable, and everything arrived very well packed and in great condition. Thanks Chewy.com. I'm now a customer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Dog Kenel Happy with product. The center divider that comes with the unit (if used), if placed all the way to the top, leaves about two inches of space below the center divider the black tray. This is good if you have a full sized sleeping mat/bed to fit the full size of the kennel. The kennel feels sturdy and is well built. It would be good if the kennel had a door on each end, instead of the middle door. This would allow use of the center divider and support two dogs in same large kennel.
