  • Xx-Large crate fantastic price and quality

    By on

Ordered this crate for my now grown shepard. It is HUGE love the space it gives him. My 10 year old can stretch out fully inside and lay next to him when he wants to go to "his room" and snuggle his favorite human brother. Very sturdy. Two people is best when setting up.

  • Huge crate

    By on

This crate is huge! I'm sure my great dane will still be able to stand in it when he's full grown! The only downside, no instructions. The pieces all arrived stuck to each other and it took us over an hour to get everything apart and then quite some more time to assemble it all. Now that it's up and running it serves its purpose.

  • Nice crate!

    By on

Am using this crate for a feral Momma cat and 3 kittens. Plenty of room for a litter box, food and sleeping area. I like the Midwest crates the best of all the brands. Shipping sometimes bends some of the crate, but never so bad that I can't fix it myself. Price makes it worth it.

  • Stretch-Out Room Like No Other

    By on

The largest-sized, airline-approved crates say that their width is 34-37". However, they invariably taper to approximately a 24" width on the floor, where your beloved actually lies down and stretches his/her legs. German Shepherd Dogs cannot stretch their legs out all the way in those crates. This one really is 36-37" on the floor of the crate. My little girl (75-80#), Dundee, loves it, and has stretching room to spare. I have zip-tied a tarp over the top and sides to give it more of the den-like feel to it--but she loved it before I did that. I'm 62, female, and had no trouble assembling except I didn't have the floor space to lay out the bottom & two sides flat, so I sort of had to start The largest-sized, airline-approved crates say that their width is 34-37". It's lots taller than it needs to be for a German Shepherd, but I'm just glad she can stretch. I'm glad I bought it. Just wish it was made in the USA. … more

  • This crate is roomy and sturdy! So glad we purchased it!!

I purchased this crate for my 135 pound 1 1/2 year old Rottweiler who absolutely loves it! This crate is super roomy and very well made, we were impressed! My teen daughter, myself and Rottie were able to fit in this crate with tons of room left to spare. Delivery was quick and set-up wasn't that hard (my hubby put it together by his self). It's a must buy for any large breed, you won't be disappointed. Thank you Chewy!

  • Great quality but VERY heavy

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

I was ashamed to have the mail person haul it to the house. Obviously they had to drag it to my door step. The box was wrecked but the crate was untouched. I needed two other people to help me lift it into the house. Although the assemble was easy - it definitely took two people to hold it up to put the rods in each of the four corners. The bars are very THICK construction. I believe it would hold a mini horse. Way too big for my long term needs. I plan to donate it when I'm done with it. If you have a monster-sized dog and people available to help you put it together - this is the crate for you.

  • true to size

I purchased this crate for my elderly mother's Great Dane. (yes- she can handle him) It was the right size for a bigger that most- dane. It came within 3 days with another order that was placed previously. Very easy to add to an order. I recommend this crate, and Chewy!

  • Big dog crate

    By on

Got this big dog crate for my 11 month yellow lab. Nice and big he has room to move around in. It's pretty heavy so moving it to another house or upstairs room would be a pain. Would have to disassemble it. Very nice crate though

  • Sturdy enough for my high energy Dane!

    By on

I have a year old great dane puppy who had outgrown his "large" kennel. I was not able to find a reasonably priced kennel in the store so I looked on here. The price on this is great and the product is good quality. It recommends two people of assembly and I definitely have to agree with that. I did it by myself so it can be done, but it would have gone a lot faster with another set of hands. The only complaint I had was some of the hooks were a little bent and I had to straighten them back out to put it together properly. My dane loves all the extra room he has now and I'm love the fact I didn't have to pay an arm and a leg for a good kennel.

  • My dog is happy

    By on

I would recommend this crate to anyone. It's heavy duty and should last a long time. We did have some problems with the side door not latching properly but has gotten better. My dog prefers to sleep in there even when he doesn't have to.
