  • Large and Sturdy with minor issues

    By on

The crate is very large and sturdy. A bit difficult getting it together and it is not collapsible, but I prefer that since my girl opens the other ones. My only issues is with the doors. My pup paws at them and has managed to get the sliding locks open so we had to add a carabiner to the top and bottom. Otherwise, we love this crate. The price was amazing and she has plenty of room to roll around and play with her toys. It keeps her in and doesn't bend when she paws at it.

  • Great value, horrible packaging

    By on

It would be so easy for this crate to get 5 stars. They bend the wire over to hold all the panels together in the package. Why not use a few zip ties???? I would pay an extra $.50 for them. I read a couple reviews saying it took them an hour to unpack it. I could see that. I'm a large guy that's handy with tools, and I was still shaking my head in disbelief. A good pair of pliers is a must, I used vise grips. Took me 20 minutes to get it apart and 15 minutes to put together. The corners were beat up on the box, so I had to bend some corners on the side panels. The crate itself is good quality and a great value.

  • Great forever crate!

    By on

This crate came highly recommended by fellow Great Dane owners. It was easy to assemble. It definitely takes two people to do, although I'm sure one person can get it done if they are determined. Our 4 month old Dane had a couple of mishaps the first two nights. The crate is still a bit too big for leaving her unattended, but perfect for letting her stretch out at night to sleep. She's loving it so therefore we love it.

  • Horrible instructions

    By on

The crate itself is gigantic especially in the height department. My German Shepherd has plenty of room. Any dog will have plenty of room in this crate. The one problem is the assembly instructions were horrible. After wasting 45 minutes trying to figure them out, I put it together by looking at the picture on the carton. Great crate lousy instructions

  • Nice large crate

Works great for my English Mastiff pup lots of room for him. It is big so its heavy also takes a little area to set up and I needed a helper due to the large panels. Would buy again and if you need a large crate I recommend.

  • Xx-Large crate fantastic price and quality

    By on

Ordered this crate for my now grown shepard. It is HUGE love the space it gives him. My 10 year old can stretch out fully inside and lay next to him when he wants to go to "his room" and snuggle his favorite human brother. Very sturdy. Two people is best when setting up.

  • Nice crate!

    By on

Am using this crate for a feral Momma cat and 3 kittens. Plenty of room for a litter box, food and sleeping area. I like the Midwest crates the best of all the brands. Shipping sometimes bends some of the crate, but never so bad that I can't fix it myself. Price makes it worth it.

  • Stretch-Out Room Like No Other

    By on

The largest-sized, airline-approved crates say that their width is 34-37". However, they invariably taper to approximately a 24" width on the floor, where your beloved actually lies down and stretches his/her legs. German Shepherd Dogs cannot stretch their legs out all the way in those crates. This one really is 36-37" on the floor of the crate. My little girl (75-80#), Dundee, loves it, and has stretching room to spare. I have zip-tied a tarp over the top and sides to give it more of the den-like feel to it--but she loved it before I did that. I'm 62, female, and had no trouble assembling except I didn't have the floor space to lay out the bottom & two sides flat, so I sort of had to start The largest-sized, airline-approved crates say that their width is 34-37". It's lots taller than it needs to be for a German Shepherd, but I'm just glad she can stretch. I'm glad I bought it. Just wish it was made in the USA. … more

  • Huge crate

    By on

This crate is huge! I'm sure my great dane will still be able to stand in it when he's full grown! The only downside, no instructions. The pieces all arrived stuck to each other and it took us over an hour to get everything apart and then quite some more time to assemble it all. Now that it's up and running it serves its purpose.
