  • NB Duck & Potato

This definitely isn't the worst food and my dog does eat it sometimes, but it isn't her favorite. The pate is pretty dry and almost crumbly, which is strange because it has the same level of fat and moisture as the sweet potato and fish. Also has a strong smell of the smoke flavor which I don't think my dog is a huge fan of. This is more personal preference, but I wish the bigger sizes of this food had a pull off lid as well. I don't mind using a can opener, but it would just be more convenient especially when we travel. Will be buying the fish and potato formula in the future, only a couple more cans of this food to go through.

  • Possible bad batch, but very dry for wet food!

I don't know if all this variety is like this, as we normally buy the Sweet Potato and Venison cans, but this is super dry and crumbly, almost. My dog likes it ok - seemingly better than kibble, but definitely not as much as his normal wet food. I might chalk it up to a bad batch, but won't buy again to find out. We'll just stick to what works!

  • So delicious we have to fend off the cat.

    By on

We mix this with American Journey dry food for our pup. We bought it to increase the protein he was getting. He adores it but our cat Gats the Fats is obsessed. She can hear a can opening a mile away and will fly into the kitchen. Most of the time she will try to jump, miss and end up smashing into something. So now she gets a pinch every time Murdock has to eat.

  • My dogs love this.

I used to buy this at one of the major Pet store chains, but only when it was on sale, then I saw it offered on Chewy. Much more economical to buy it by the case and you can't beat having it delivered. Thanks Chewy.

  • Love Natural Balance!

    By on

I tried the canned version of the Duck and Potato for my dogs to mix up their normal Duck and Potato dry food. Needless to say, they love it so much that one of them won't eat the dry without a lil' wet duck/potato mixed in. He loves it too much! Highly recommend Natural Balance LID foods!

I have an 11 month old tiny pom he weighs 8 pounds. He broke his leg so we have to hand feed him. He was on the same food only in a dry food. With the broke leg he won't eat the dry food because he can't bend down to his bowl. This can food is exactly the same as the dry food and it never gave him any stomach problems or poop changes. It was the same. He loves the taste and I may keep him on it permanently after he gets his splint off.

This was recommended by a homeopathic Vet and canine accupunture professional. I am in the process of a food change so mixing old with new& it is going well. Previous food for 14 years so big change.
