AS sime have mentioned, this product is thin, so when you apply you may be skeptical at first. But never fear, it lathers up very nicely and also rinses off easily.
My puppy dislikes this one less than the others I have tried, so thats a plus. Makes her fur nice shiny and soft.
So far it seems to be keeping ticks and fleas off her, but only time will tell on that.
I contacted Natural Chemistry about the label listed ingredients and this is exactly the same as the spray they make and they are interchangeable. So you can use this shampoo as a spray, spray it on lightly though, dont saturate!

Pros- This product smells of cinnamon, and gets my dog really clean.
Cons- The formula is not thick enough, it's like water, it seems that I require a lot of it to get a good suds going. I'm thinking of adding unscented castile soap to improve this situation, yet retain the lovely cinnamon scent.

by Anitra Smell and works great!
I usually shampoo my dog twice. 1st shampoo gets the dirt and sweat out(yes dog sweat too) sweat contains salt that stops shampoo from lathering to it fullness. 2nd wash require less shampoo and will lock essence into the coat to repel fleas and tics as promised.

Rated 4 out of 5 by 9274 Nice product but ...
I purchased this as part of a whole house, yard and pet natural treatment for fleas. (We did not have ticks so I can not say if it works for them). When I used it as a shampoo it did not lather and is very watery, but it did kill fleas I think. Then I used a conditioner which I later learned ruined the very nice cinnamon and cedar scent that is supposed to repel the fleas. I called the company and they explained not to use conditioner even though the bottle doesn't say anything about it. I ended up buying a different natural flea shampoo for lather and using the rest of this bottle in a sprayer on my dog's t-shirt so that when I take him out the natural chemistry cedar scent on the t-shirt fabric will repel fleas. I chose to repeatedly spray the t-shirt every day, before putting the shirt on the dog to avoid any spray getting in his eyes and face, for the scent to be strong and then take the t-shirt off when we came back in. I think the natural chemistry shampoo does kill fleas but you have to know it is watery and won't lather. Also TEST YOUR DOG'S SKIN before bathing to make sure your dog isn't allergic to the natural oils which some dogs can be. You also need to bathe your dog weekly to have any sort of scent for the repelling effect to work. The weaker the scent the less repellent thus I used a t-shirt and spray bottle. Natural Chemistry has this in a sprayer to purchase but I already had this shampoo and the lady on the phone said it is practically the same contents and to just put it in a sprayer of my own. They were very nice on the phone and had good suggestions such as using a sponge to put it on carefully and towel lightly to let it dry on the dog if possible. DO NOT let it get it into your dog's eyes or mouth!!! We also use the Natural Chemistry Yard Spray which I think is effective and I like the company and prefer natural to chemicals when possible. We did not have a tick problem in our yard so I do not know how well it works on ticks. Chewy.com has the best prices!
