  • Does the job ok, but I won't continue using

This scooper is great in the regards that it prevents me from having to bend over (as much) like I normally would. I would say it picks up 90% of the dog poop from the ground, but it also pulls up your grass along with it. A huge negative for me is that it made my hand very very sore after only 5 minutes of using it. I have 2 large dogs, so lots of poop to pick up every week. I'm not sure if it's built for someone with a large hand (I'm only 5'2 and of smaller build) but I don't see myself using this in the future. I'll keep it around for my boyfriend, who pointed out to me immediately after testing it that it was going to hurt my hand. Unfortunately, he was correct. • Sturdy, but ineffective for my use

    By on

Im reading other reviews and seems I may be in the minority here, but I REALLY dislike this particular scoop. I have used others with very little problem. I can't get it to actually close around the poop so as not to drop out before I can release it. Especially with the smaller pieces. Maybe the the "teeth" are too thick? I have used it several months now before I reviewed to give me chance to adapt and learn to use it. I give up. I got so mad at it I threw it over my fence! I'll be on the lookout for a new, different one!

  • Poorly mad

Plastic. Most parts made of plastic, including those that should be made of metal. On first use, plastic pivoting "screw" fell out. Fortunate to find it and repair. Classic example of how cheaply a product can be made with no consideration of consumer. I doubt this product will ever be sold in stores where a consumer can look at the quality. This is an "on-line" product only.

  • Wouldn't recommend

    By on

Very disappointed in this scooper. If you have difficulty with your hands - tendinitis, arthritis or carpel tunnel - this is not for you. I stopped using this immediately. Can only pick up 1 scoop at a time. For a multiple dog home, this did not meet the mark.

  • Same as most imho

For being 5'3, I can use this as a cane it's that tall. To me that's a good thing and many people complain about length so there ya go! Natures miracle products have yet to fail me and so far this is in the same boat. It's holding up well and doing what it is supposed to do. My only real issue with it is the same as with every other feces scooper like this, half the time no matter what I try to do, the jaws go through some pooooo instead of underneath it in the type of NJ grass I have. That drives me nuts! Naturally everyone's yards are different, so like I said, it still does what it's intended to do. It is a jumbo size and picks up my girls piles. Ecko is a 70 pounder and still has room to For being 5'3, I can use this as a cane it's that tall. To me that's a good thing and many people complain about length so there ya go! The only other thing I care to mention is that most of these types of feces scoopers claim some sort of non sticking agent....haha never once have I seen the feces come off without a hitch unless it's frozen solid lol. Overall good product. … more

  • Easy to use if grip is strong

    By on

I like the convenience of this since it is one-handed. However, if you are elderly or have a weak grip or very small hands, this would be difficult to use. Fresh poop (even firm) also sticks to the sides a bit so you sometimes have to bang it to get it off.. yuck. Overall happy with my purchase though!

  • Great tool for anyone with back problems!

    By on

I purchased this poop scooper after suffering an injured back. Since I cannot bend to pick up my dog's waste in the yard, I thought this tool would be of practical help and it definitely is. It allows me to effectively clean up solid waste without further injuring my back. The only challenge is when the waste is fresh. The scooper effectively picks it up, holds it until the handle/grabber is released, but sometimes the waste clings to the teeth and tool making it a little messy to shake off completely into a bucket. However, since this tool is most helpful to me with my back injury limitations, I would highly recommend it for anyone in a similar situation!

  • GREAT PRICE

    By on

My husband has been wanting one of these for years but the ones at our local pet stores are ridiculously priced. I picked this beauty up for $14 and it's massive. It picks up all the poop. My husband's only complaint is that it also rips up some of the grass but that's the same with using a shovel. Chewy continues to impress me with their competitive pricing. I love this site!

  • Great for large hands

    By on

I like the design, its sturdy.. however the jumbo size in not for the average lady's small hand to operate. It's a bit uncomfortable and hard to use for any length of time. I have ordered the medium. Hoping that will workout better.

  • Grip issue

    By on

Well made. I like this scooper a lot. The only issue is the grip. I have large hands for a female and I feel I have to really reach to grab handle to squeeze and open it. If you have small hands it would be hard to get a grip on it and use it.
