  • This is a winner!

My 16 lb. bichon was practically inhaling her food and would eat a half cup of kibble in about 90 seconds and swallow a lot of air. Several other products that are designed to slow food consumption did not work. I also tried an interactive toy, but being very smart she figured that out quickly and continued her rapid eating. I got the mini feeder and it now takes her about 5 minutes to finish each meal. She no longer swallows air, and she also seems to have fun eating from this feeder.

  • Not a challenge

    By on

My 12 month old lab found out how to beat this puzzle rather quickly! The first time he picked it up from the center and dropped it back on the floor as hard as he could resulting in kibble everywhere! The second time I gave it to him he picked it up from the side and walked off with it. All the kibble slid off onto the floor. Great entertainment for the humans, not so great if you are trying to slow down your dog's eating or keep them busy a while.

  • Really Works!

    By on

This feeder is wonderful! It's helped our GSD, Brandi, slow down tremendously and finally eat at a normal pace. She used to gulp her entire bowl down in literally 30 - 40 seconds, quite often making herself sick from inhaling so much air. No problems since switching to her patch of grass! Brandi now takes at least 15 minutes to eat, sometimes even leaving a few pieces because she's tired of poking around. By the third night of use, she figured out how to push the feeder off of the chair she's fed on. Repositioned the chair & now the only problem is the stink-eye she gives us at feeding time!

  • Perfect!

I have three large dogs who love to eat as quickly as they can. My Saint Bernard, GSD, and Belgian Malinois can eat their bowl in under 60 second but with this feeder is takes them 15-20 minutes to finish their meals! Since these breeds are legendary for stomach flip this product is a godsend. I do a quick rinse and wipe down after each meal to try to keep them clean.

It does help slow my dog down when it comes to eating. He still inhales his food but he does it slowly now, LOL Love this thing!

  • Bought several different brands, although expensive worth it. My 5 month Goldendoodle loves the challenge and slows her down. No gulping up of kibble.

  • S-L-O-W Feed Bowl

My dog had been gulping his new food and inhaling it from his previous slow feed bowl, so I gave this a try. He didn't know what to do at first, but he has since gotten the hang of it. No more inhaling food into his windpipe and coughing it back up. The first night it took him 45 minutes to eat most of the food; now he can eat his meal in 20-30 minutes. The dish is a little larger than I expected but perfect sized for a big dog (mine's an 80 lb Doberman). Surprisingly easy to clean. The bright green is a little arresting, but it is easy to see the food against it. My only complaint is that it forces him to move around more as he eats, so I've had to get extra rugs for his feeding area My dog had been gulping his new food and inhaling it from his previous slow feed bowl, so I gave this a try. • Works great with a couple changes

This really slowed down my pittys eating! We had to screw it down to a heavy piece of plywood with a lip all the way around the edges in order to keep the food from being pushed out of the feeder while they are eating and keep the dogs from carrying the feeder around!

  • It works!

Keuka, (Q ka) my Pit Bull, would have her food finished within less than 1 minute. I worried about bloat because she ate so fast. Now it takes her a good 10 minutes. And she seems to enjoy the challenge. She's a smart little girl so it's good for her, both belly and brain!

  • Great product, fun and slows him down.

This food "bowl" is great. My dog used to inhale his food in 30 seconds, now it takes him at least 10 minutes. Plus its a fun puzzle for him too, which I'm sure is good for brain stimulation. Chewey.com has been a great resource!
