  • Seemed great at first but....

    By on

I first bought this in January of 2017 for my dog who has CCL tears in both legs. The vets are telling me she needs surgery but I have reading tons of info on CCL tears in dogs and it seems that if they tend to get better after injury then they do not require the extremely painful and expensive surgery. Since I decided against surgery for Darla (a 7 year old, 96lb Pit Bull), I knew she must be on supplements so I bought this hoping for the best. At first, I saw results right away in Darla (walking easier, less pain pills needed, was happier in general) and followed the directions closely. At first, I saw results right away in Darla (walking easier, less pain pills needed, was happier in general) and followed the directions closely. Over the months though, she slowly would stop eating her food when I had added this supplement. It has a very harsh odor and it is a very grainy powder (does not mix easily and is hard to mask). One day she would not eat at all if the powder was even mixed in with wet food. Unfortunately, I have half of the bottle left and my girl won't touch it. Next, I will be trying a "treat like" method to give Darla her supplements. If your dog will tolerate the taste, then I highly recommend this product. If you have a picky dog, it may be tough to get them to get past the odor/taste. … more

  • The perfect food topper

    By on

My dog has historically been a picky eater, but that changed with Nupro. She's a 5 year old lab/chow mix who's more likely to accept her dry food if it's mixed with water. With Nupro, that water turns into gravy and she gobbles up every last bite. Her bowl is left spotless and her tail wagging for more. Most importantly, it provides the vitamins and minerals she needs to keep her joints healthy as she ages. It's also been great for her coat. I get compliments all the time for how soft and shiny her fur is. Only con: the smell. Topping her food with powdered liver isn't my favorite, but she loves it and Nupro has drastically improved her appetite and coat, so it's worth it.

  • Not working as well as hoped.

    By on

We have a 15 year old German Shepard / lab mix. He lays around most of the time. Before Trying Nupro we tried PetVi and he started to be more active. It is kind of expensive when you have two big dogs so we were looking for a cheaper option. We have been using the Nupro for several weeks now. Thou Toby likes it, it does not seam to help him like the PetVi did. We also have a 7 year old Golden Retriever who initially refused to eat the Nupro. It took a while but he will eat it now. I have not noticed any change in his skin issues.

  • Nupro works!

    By on

We have used Nupro silver for our dogs for more than 10 years. When we first began it with our 10 year old Chocolate Lab within two weeks on the supplement his energy level soared and he was running around again like a much younger dog. We haven't stopped using it since. All of our dogs...young and old enjoy the liver based supplement and all are very healthy. I highly recommend this product

  • Nupro for puppy joints

    By on

My 5 month old golden retriever can be a little bit hard on his joints. He loves jumping off the couch and body slamming into my other dog while playing. Although I try and limit that as much as possible it still happens. We heard from a friend that this works well for her puppy so I am hopeful for it. So far he loves the flavor and is 100% willing to eat it!

  • FAST RESULTS

    By on

I have a 3 year old Golden Retriever and he lost 12 lbs during our move back to the east coast from the west coast and he began having coughs and wheezing, I've tried to figure out what it was and I've tried humidifiers, coconut oil on his apples, carrots, homemade food, and vitamin tablets. It all helped but not entirely. I was also looking for something that provided enough essential vitamins and supplements to add to his homemade food as cooking just homemade food is very unbalanced. He's been on it for a week now and his coughing has gone away as it raised his immune system and added vitamin C. He gained all the weight he lost back, his coat is darker and more rich, very soft, he also loves I have a 3 year old Golden Retriever and he lost 12 lbs during our move back to the east coast from the west coast and he began having coughs and wheezing, I've tried to figure out what it was and I've tried humidifiers, coconut oil on his apples, carrots, homemade food, and vitamin tablets. • working dog approves

We love this product! Max, our working mal/gsd mix is an extremely picky eater with an extremely sensitive GI. We paired this with his regular high quality dry kibble and we have seen amazing results! His coat shines and he licks his bowl clean after every meal. Hes had no issues with his stomach since being on it and I do not have to mix half wet food in with it, saving us money! Hes is a super active dog and still young so I obviously havent noticed a change with his mobility, however the added benefits could only be beneficial in the long run for him because he is so athletic. I will always reccomend this product.

  • Response to "doesn't dissolve"

I can't really rate this item since I haven't used it yet but I was puzzled by the comment made saying anyone with large deep chested dogs knows you don't give water during a meal and must wait 30 minutes after the meal to avoid bloat. Although I have done research on bloat and how to avoid it, I have never heard this and I have two German Shepherds, so I did some more research. No one really knows what causes bloat and it can affect any size dog. It is just more predominant in larger dogs, but there are several key suspects for the cause of bloat and heredity is one of them. A grain-free dry kibble would not do this with water. My trainer raved about this product so I can rate it based on his review. … more

  • Nupro Review

I haven't used this product long enough to give a proper review or see any results yet. The dogs do like the taste and eat their food quite readily with it sprinkled on it so, for now, I will give it 3 stars

  • Three mastiffs helped....

    By on

We ordered 2 pounds of this Nupro product for our aging mastiffs a couple of weeks ago, and I notice already they are more agile and active. The plan is to keep them on it permanently.
