Rated 5 out of 5 by Nutro puppy food I've been feeding my dogs Nutro for over a year and it was the best switch I've ever made. My 5 month old staffy gobbles this food up. You can't go wrong with any of Nutro's formulas. Thank you Chewy.com for being a wonderful company! August 14, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by I highly recommend! My sweet Silver Lab is less than 1 year old and has had extremely dry skin so the vet told us we needed to try food with not as many different proteins in it so we switched her to this and in a week's time I've noticed a huge difference in her itching and flaky skin. I think she's on a road to being an active, fun pup. I highly recommend this food. August 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nutro brand dog food My Bloodhound puppy just loves Nutro dog food, & boy is he ever growing in it! August 18, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Success all the way My puppy can't get enough, and I even use the kibble as training treats. I expect when he graduates from puppy food, I'll stick with the brand! August 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product has great features. Bought two 30lb bags and had them shipped for less than it costs at one of the local pet store chains. Great deals on chewy.com! July 27, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Puppy loves it! We were trying to go no grain but our puppy's hair on her stomach wasn't growing back after spading. I remembered that we used to feed the dog we used to have Nutro Naturals because of a skin condition that made his hair fall out. I thought we'ed try it on our puppy and she loves the food and her hair is finally growing back on her tummy. July 25, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Standard Poodle Puppy Loved the Taste but... I'm writing this review from the standpoint of someone who is still trying to find a solution to my standard poodle puppy's chronic diarrhea. We got him when he was 9 weeks old and he is now 6 months and the problem continues! Our puppy has had multiple fecal tests and multiple vet visits regarding this ongoing issue and there is nothing medically wrong with him. The vet pretty much wished us luck in our trial and error search in finding the right food for him. We have tried special vet-prescribed diets (Purina EN) as well as premium brands like Wellness Puppy, Wellness Puppy Large Breed, Nutro Puppy, and Nutro Large Breed Puppy (Chicken Rice & Oatmeal) with no luck. Our dog has been on various medications and probiotics, which made the stool have more of a pudding consistency, but never yielded any actual logs. The most recent food we have tried is this one -- Nutro Limited Ingredient Diet Large Breed Puppy Lamb & Whole Brown Rice. I was really hoping this one would work considering it is labeled "Limited Ingredient Diet" but it gave him the worst diarrhea of any of the other brands or the other Nutro formulations we have tried. This is unfortunate because my puppy really seemed to enjoy the flavor. I must admit that I was not diligent in reading the ingredients label before purchasing the food. Now that I have, I find myself wondering why they call it "Limited Ingredient Diet." Besides the fact that the protein source comes from lamb and lamb meal, it actually has a few more ingredients than the Chicken Rice & Oatmeal formula. I encourage anyone who is also struggling to find the right food for their sensitive-tummy pups to carefully read and compare ingredients lists so as to help identify what might be causing the pup's digestive issues. Next on the list for us is Blue Buffalo Basics Turkey & Potato Puppy Dry Food (wish us luck!). For the time being, we are back to using Nutro Puppy Chicken, Whole Brown Rice & Oatmeal kibble with a dollop of 100% pure pumpkin on top as a garnish. Yes, the pumpkin works wonders in giving our little guy a break from the runny stools and he's been making logs for 2 days now BUT we're still hoping to find a brand that will work with his digestive system without us having to add the pumpkin.
