  • problem food because of food allergies

I had my Pug on Imans wet food from the vet for five years. They stopped making it and went to a different food from the vet and she loved it and a week later she came down with a terrible dose of loose bowels that required taking food back and $$$$ for vet care. talking to the manager from another pet chain and he recommended Kitchen Classic with rice,chicken/oatmeal as she may have a allergic reaction to a vegetable in the other food. Did what he told me to try and I have had her on the kitchen classic diet wet food for a month now mixed with her dry food and not any problem at all much to my relief. loves it and no tummy problems at all. I would buy maybe the auto plan but now a review I had my Pug on Imans wet food from the vet for five years. I would buy maybe the auto plan but now a review said you changed one ingredient to sweet potato so now with her allergy problem i fear trying another change. WHY? the other store can not keep my food in stock it is so popular., more expensive and further away for me. So I want to stick with what she seems to thrive on. Why did you make a change to sweet potato so now I will try it and hope the loose bowels do not return and just wait till the other store restocks and pay more money and enough to keep on hand. Need the truth for her sake. Allergies play awful on dogs and the vets didn't agree. Suzy, my Pug feels great on this oatmeal one so fingers crossed. Thank You for at least reading my review. Any answers email me.you should have it on file. Sincerely B Rxxxxid … more

  • Dog doesn't like new formula

    By on

We were running low on my collie's Chicken, Rice and Oatmeal recipe, and learned that there was an ingredient change. Despite Nutro telling us only one ingredient changed (from whole grain oatmeal to sweet potato), there was more than that and my dog isn't a fan. We've started transitioning to Merrick, putting a quarter cup of each in his bowl with a mix of Nutro and Merrick dry foods. He gobbles up the other food immediately and eventually eats the Nutro when he's still hungry. Based on that reaction, I can no longer recommend this food.

  • it has veggies in you can see

My dogs love this food. I mix it with a dry and they just love it. I used to have to cook chicken up and put that in with dry food but not any more. They are satisfied with nutro canned and nutro farms harvest dry.

I have been using Chewy for my 3 dogs for the last fews months and I have to say its a no brainer to use their services. 1. Its delivered to your door in 2 days (over $49), 2. Its less expensive that than the retail stores, 3. Chewy has all the best dog foods, 4. The customer service is top notch!

  • 3 Dog Salute

    By on

All 3 of my dogs LOVE Nutro adult dog food. It seems to be easy on my dog with a sensitive stomach, and it seems to help my dog that has sensitive skin. It must taste good...judging by how quickly it disappears. Just hearing the can open brings 3 dogs into the kitchen in a flash.
