  • Sadly, too soft

    By on

I was looking for something for my 5 month old jack Russell puppy to chew on, that was not too hard, so this flexible one looked perfect. He enjoyed it but was able to chew big chunks off so I had to get rid of it. This may work well for a dog who is NOT an aggressive chewer! I also tried the next firmer nylabone and he chewed and ate too much of that as well. The search continues...

  • Chewed on as last resort....(by puppy too)

    By on

I bought this for my new collie puppy in souper, I had a puppy 1 in regular and durachew in petite (from my sheltie) as well as a blue dental in wolf. She showed some interest inn those, so I figured this would be ideal. Unfortunately, when initially offered to her, she had no interest. However xshe has chewed on it slightly when I crate her with it and only it. I'm trying to avoid another dog that only chews on something edible and can be ultimately eaten, everything else is a waste of time. (Spoiling, mistake by me) but collie hasn't been able to be spoiled yet, and has little to NO interest. Do any dogs actually like these nylon fake bones? Idk.

  • This was not a good choice for a dog that loves to chew Nylabones.

    By on

I thought that I would be getting a chew that was nylabone strong but with a slightly softer base. Lucy Lu loved it but it was torn in to tiny pieces within 10 minutes. I had to chase her down to get the final small amount out of her mouth to keep her from swallowing it. Maybe it would be more appropriate for puppies??? WE LOVE NYLABONES THOUGH!!!

  • Doesn't hold up

    By on

My dog, a 1 year old rescue, believed to be Aussie/Border Collie, loved this bone. After chewing on it for 2-3 days I noticed he was breaking off rather large chunks of it. I decided to take it away because I didn't want him to ingest those pieces. I was hoping it would be more like one of his other Nyla bones that doesn't break off so easily. After reading reviews about Nyla bones (in general) online, I'm not certain I will ever purchase another for him (he is an aggressive chewer).

  • Soft & Durable

Our heavy chewer hasn't completely destroyed it, however, he does get some dime-sized chunks out of it. Overall, it's a good bone to have for variations in texture for the pups.

  • Not what I invisioned

    By on

I wish I had read previous reviews first. I too experienced that within the first 30 or less minutes of enjoying this bone, chunks were breaking off, time to put this toy away for good. Very unhappy pup and pup owner.

  • Perfect for heavy chewers w/ dental issues

    By on

My pit and corgi love these - and so do I! Mostly because of the $ savings at the vet. My corgi is only 3 but I've had to extract a tooth because of it cracking. My pit is a senior with heart issues, which means no anethesia now - so if he cracks a tooth and it gets infected, either way I am gambling with his heart. I have no choice but to stick with soft toys. Do they go through them quicker? Yeah, they do. But not as quickly as I thought they would. I usually find myself replacing them every 2-3 months or so. Highly recommend for senior dogs or dogs with dental issues, or puppies!

  • My 8 month old puppy loves this toy

    By on

I have an 8 month old German Shepherd puppy who is teething like crazy. He chews on the Nylabone for hours and it has out lasted many other toys. I would recommend this to anyone with a dog that loves to chew. Great Bone.

  • Bella loves these bones

For a long time we had been buying the Nylabone DuraChew for our AmStaff mix who is a heavy chewer. Unfortunately she cracked a molar that had to be removed and our veterinarian wanted her switched to softer bones. The x-large FlexiChew is soft enough that we don't have to worry about her cracking another molar but is still very strong. We have been buying these for years now and Isabella loves chewing on these... Our five month old puppy has even been seen chewing on her bone which is just a touch harder then his puppy bones.

  • Great chew for my power chewer

This lasts for a long time. It doesn't become sharp after being chewed like some chews like it.
