  • Helped with puppy biting

    By on

I got this for my pup from a retail store when he was about 10 weeks old. He was in his biting stage and I was hoping this would help. He did chew on this but of course our soft hands were more fun. He lost it somewhere around 4 months, I figure it was in the couch. We recovered this last month (7 months old). Since he wasnt a strong chewer I figured it would be okay. I was wrong, once he rediscovered this with his adult teeth he destroyed it in less then 3 days. I recommend this for Puppies like it stays on the package, maybe even senior dogs. But make sure to remove it once they get older.

  • Perfect for puppies!

This puppy chew bone from Nalabone is by far Winston's favorite bone. Winston is about 5 months old and this bone will keep him busy for hours. The only bad thing about it is that my 1 year old golden doodle tries to take it from him. Obviously a favorite of the dogs and myself.

  • My 11-week-old puppy wasn't much interested

    By on

She seemed to like it at first but lost interest after a few minutes, and I couldn't get her to pick it up again. The breeder sent us home with some Made in USA rawhide chips and she likes to chew on these to the exclusion of the Puppy Chew Bone. Frankly this is my third dog (over 30+ years) who never cared for Nylabones. They all preferred rawhide. I know plenty of other puppies prefer these, just not mine.

  • Great Bone

I actually bought this medium sized bone for a mini Australian shepherd who is about 25 lbs but my 6 lb papillon loves it too!! Very durable and provides hours and hours of great chew time!

  • Disappointed again.

My three Chihuahuas really love the nylabones. My problem is finding a chew that will last longer than 4 hours. That's how long it takes them to chew up a nylabone. The search continues.

  • DOGS LOVED IT

    By on

Highly recommended for teething puppies or boredom chewers. Not for strong chewers, obviously. My dogs definitely loved it though.

  • favorite chew bone!

I have two Boston terriers and this is the only chewing bone they fight for! I have to buy one for each of them. They seem to enjoy the flavor and I can hear how they chew really hard. You have to be careful if the bone gets too small.

  • Good chew for right size dogs

My dogs have strong chew instincts. Board certified veterinary dentists tell me not to use any chew that would hurt if you hit it on your knee- that leaves most chews out. So anything hard has a risk of fracturing teeth. That said, my dogs would chew things not meant for dogs if I didn't provide chews. I bought this type of nylabone because it was not as hard as the regular kind nor as hard as an antler or other chew bone. I started with the smaller size (they are small dogs, under 10 lbs) and they loved them but wore them down quickly so this time I bought one size up. They don't seem to like this size. SO I have mixed feelings. Obviously with a softer chew I am giving up durability and honestly My dogs have strong chew instincts. • one use and i'm sold!

I wish I would have bought one of these for our golden retriever puppy earlier. She loves it! I only give it to her for special occasions though, so it's like an extra special treat. When she grows bigger and becomes a more intense chewer, I can see us having to replace these more often. But it seems pretty durable for little puppy chewing. This is the only thing that's kept her occupied long enough for us to eat dinner.
