Orijen Dry Dog Food

Just Add Water

Now your dog can enjoy the texture, flavor and nutritional benefits of raw food without any of the mess or preparation. For your dog to enjoy Orijen's amazing fresh food flavors to the fullest, rehydrate freeze-dried foods by adding 1/4 cup (4 tbsp.) of warm water per medallion. Wait 3 to 6 minutes, then serve.

Whole Prey Foods

In the wild, dogs consume the whole animal to meet their full dietary needs, so Orijen recipes incorporate three whole prey elements in specific ratios.

  • Meat (70−85%) High meat inclusion means all amino acids are provided in natural form, without any synthetic supplements.
  • Edible Bone (5−10%) Bone, marrow and cartilage provide calcium, phosphorus, glucosamine and chondroitin without any artificial additives.
  • Organ Meat (10−15%) Fresh liver and tripe are richly nourishing sources of vitamins and minerals, including iron, zinc, and vitamins A, B and D.

Quality, Sustainable Ingredients

Orijen believes you have a right to know where the ingredients in your dog's food come from. From nest-laid eggs and wild northern pike to juicy orchard-grown apples and crisp garden greens, each ingredient is sourced from local producers they know and trust.

About Orijen

Orijen products are created by Champion Petfoods, an award-winning pet food maker whose mission is to make biologically appropriate dog and cat foods from fresh regional ingredients. Rated 5 out of 5 by My dog went nuts for this! Incredibly amazing ingredients that I can read and understand. This is the first time I've tried the freeze dried wafers that you add water to, and every time I grab for the bag my pup sees it and starts jumping up all over the place and wagging his tail in excitement. I've not gotten this intense of a reaction from him for meals! He absolutely LOVES it. We also break little pieces off to use as treats throughout the day. I usually break up small chunks of the wafers and mix it with his other kibbles that are previously pre-soaked for a few hours then I add hot water and let it sit a couple minutes and it ends up being a warm delicious meal! We use Orijen -six fish, Regional Red, & the Adult Dog kibble. He loves them all , and we like the variety he gets to eat different each meal. I'll continue ordering the freeze dried food!! Rated 4 out of 5 by Disappointed We have four dogs that love the Tundra, but for some reason my two picky eaters won't eat this (Regional Red). I am so disappointed as I know this is good stuff for them and I want them to like it! I noticed these parties are harder to break up compared to the Tundra and they have a funny smell. I tried dehydrating the patties with warm water and that didn't work. I tried broth and that got one of the picky eaters to eat it, but the pickiest eater of all still won't eat it! I know it's the dog and not the food! Lol October 4, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by My dog wouldn't touch it. My dog wouldn't touch it. Tried diluting it as recommended with water and then tried diluting it with bone broth neither time would the dog go anywhere near it. September 24, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product! My dog loves this! I decided to try since he loves the Tundra so much. The same with this one. It's a great alternative so he doesn't get sick of eating the same thing all the time. August 15, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Two paws up! Our chi-mix is terribly fussy and she loves this food. My only complaint is that it is a little pricey. I am otherwise very pleased with the Orijen Freeze-Dried Dog Food selection. August 4, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by my dogs love it! My chihuahua started having siezures and stomach issues. I decided to stop giving him dog food from big name grocery store shelves because it was cheap. I went to a natural dog store in town and bought this for his dinner and raw food for his breakfast. Both of my dogs are crazy for their new foods. Even though I'm feeding them raw food in the morning that doest put them off of eating orijen! They practicly inhale it! I love how short and simple the ingredients are. My dogs have been healthy and full of energy. No more vomiting or seizures. My only complaint is rehydrating it. No matter how long it soaks is still got a weird texture. But honestly? My dogs wouldn't care if this was in powder form. As long as they can lick it up. I just break it info bite size pieces and call it a day. Something to consider is the food has a shelf life of 36 days after you open the bag. I would suggest buying a small bag for a small breed. November 11, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by I'm sure this is great product Ordered this originally because I thought that the combination of products would not give it a fishy smell, my dogs do not like fish. When I received the bag and opened it I immediately smelled fishy and when I tried to feed it to my dogs even though I mixed it with other products to try to lessen the smell they would not eat it. This is my dogs personal preference and obviously this is not a problem at all with the quality of this product so although I would not buy this again I do believe that this company does try to make good products for dogs to eat July 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Finicky Eater My dog is very finicky but so far, has eaten this every time I've fed him it. It's a little smelly and takes some time to rehydrate but at least I haven't had to throw any of it away. July 29, 2016
