Rated 5 out of 5 by AAinFL Perfect for my puppy
This kennel was very easy to put together and my puppy went in it right away. We keep it in the kitchen under the table so she can see what's happening whether we're home or not (we have another dog 12 yrs and a cat). The intermediate size is perfect for her. She's about 22-25 lbs right now but her legs are long so she's tall. We hope she'll be able to use this size for a good while. The intermediate size is supposed to be for up to 50 lbs. so we'll see if that works for her. Overall the quality is very good and I recommend this crate/kennel brand to anyone needing a comfy spot for their puppy! We use a different larger crate for bed time and that's upstairs in my son's room. She now understands the difference between her bedtime crate and her chill-out during-the-day kennel. If we try to put her in the bedtime crate during the day she will bark the entire time we're away. She is very comfortable and calm when we put her in the smaller downstairs kennel. What a big difference this has made for her and for us!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Setterwoman Nice crates, assembly somewhat awkward
These are nice crates but I bought a large and extra large and while it's not that hard to line up the slots, it's awkward particularly with the extra large because of the size. With the extra large, the snap lock on the back actually broke. However I was planning to use the corner screws on that one and I am not flying with it, so it's not a big deal. The large is not lined up precisely enough to get the corner screws in right now but I'm confident I can get it lined up properly when I have more time. You need to be careful the door is seated properly or it may fall out when opened. I am getting used to that. It's a nice feature that they will swing open either way but if you keep changing sides, it's easier to make the door fall off. I do really like these crates, they just require some caution. Definitely use the corner screws and double check that the door is properly closed if you have a dog who is good at opening things. I think a few minor tweaks in the design could make these nearly perfect crates. They are lightweight which is great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Valbourne Petmate is Tough
Ordered this on Dec. 28th. It was shipped 29th, and I got it this morning (30th). My Bulldog is one tough tearer upper. He went through 5 wire crates, one of which came from another one of my Bulldogs. Bought an extremely expensive "Fort Knox" type of crate. Yep, he destroyed it, too. So, went to plastic Petmate. He had the Navigator and I loved it. He still did the metal on the doors, but replacement doors were readily available. Finally, he and I tore the front lip of the crate. Since we did not need the inner door for him to grow into the crate, we went with the Compass. So easy to assemble. Did it when he and his sister, Lula, were outside. He came in surprised to see the new one. Got a larger one and he seems to fit in it perfectly. Love it. Thank you, Chewy and Petmate.

Good kennel, a little hard to put together, it has screws and clasps around the outside. Which for a mastiff, makes it a stronger kennel.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Janeika Crate size is misleading
I am highly disappointed with the size of this crate. The description states the crate is extra large for a giant breed dog. Very misleading.. I received the crate and it's not truly extra large. It's large at best. It also is not suitable for a giant breed dog. I have a 9 month old rottweiler who is too big for this crate. I am disappointed that I wouldn't be able to return it, as the return policy states returnable if unused. I had to use it to be able to tell that the crate was too small.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dogmom I am very happy with this crate.
I bought the extra large crate thinking it probably wouldn't be very big more of a large but it's definitely an extra large. My 100 lb banter bulldogge fit in this no problem and he is always hard to fit in crates. My female banter bulldogges can stand in it together they both weigh 70ish lbs. It was very easy to put together just have to line it up right. We are ordering another one since we are so happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gina Excellent kennel
Purchased this kennel for my 4 month old German Shepherd. Simple to put together less than 5 minutes. Sturdy and roomy and expect that this will be her space for a longtime. Door opens on either end and very easy to use. I would recommend. Chewy's price was unbeatable and shipped it quickly as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Charlote61 Could be longer.
I have a 90 pound chocolate lab. The height is fine, however I feel it could be longer.
