Petmate Deluxe Fresh Flow Pet Fountain, Bleached Linen is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 65.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good fountain for cats I have been using the Petmate fountains for about 10 years now, this 108 oz one is the fourth I've purchased. With regularly cleaning, the pumps last 4+ years. I have four cats and keep two fountains running at opposite ends of the house. The pump is quiet emitting only a low hum unless the water level is too low in which case it gurgles obnoxiously. I've had no trouble with water leaking or splashing about. The cats are drawn to the running water enticing them to drink sufficiently. That's my primary reason for using these. I don't bother with the filters at all; I run them without filters. Instead, I take them apart about every 10-14 days to be washed. Prior to washing, I put a dollop of bleach in and let the motor run for a couple of minutes. This helps eliminate the bacterial film that can form on the plastic. Overall, the cats like the fountain, it's reasonably quiet, will last more than 4 years if well maintained, and requires regular cleaning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great item. The cat loves it! Highly recommend this product, especially due to the very fair price! I found this item to be shipped well, packaged in a shipping box with zero damage to the packaging. After a pleasant unboxing, setup was simple and what I expected. No batteries, it comes with an adapter to plug into the wall. The product comes with 2 filters, which they claim will last for 2 months, so 1 filter / month. I'm guessing I can purchase more of the filters here, but I haven't researched the price of them yet. Putting the pieces together was easy when the instructions are followed. Only took me a few minutes to set it all up after unboxing it. The unit is quiet, barely audible unless you get right up next to it. The unit recycles and releases a steady stream of water, just enough to make the base pool ripple a little bit, which interested my cat (who only drinks from running water sources, he won't drink from a standard water dish). My cat warmed up to his new water dish right away. He was not scared of it at all since it is very quiet. Honestly, I wasn't expecting it to be as nice as it is, since it was only about $20 before shipping, but I am pleasantly surprised at its quality for the cheap price. I highly recommend this item: works great, practically silent, and is very inexpensive compared to comparable products.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Inexpensive, but noisy My cat loves it because of the constant water movement, and it doesn't splash like another I've tried, but the motor produces a constant hum and no mat or towel underneath can soften it. I find it really annoying,, but my family doesn't seem to mind.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! My kitty plays near her water and was always tipping it over. She loves the fountain, and only puts her toys in the water, she can't make a mess. I love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from He loves it! Muffin Man used to drink out of our toilet, but he hasn't even tried since we bought this new bowl. He loves to drink the fresh, cool, clean water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Encourages Kitty to Drink More! I have a senior kitty with early kidney issues. The fountain is encouraging him to drink more and hopefully we can correct the kidney issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our Petmate fountain -- win-win for cats and people Cats' rating: 5 stars. For my 2 Maine Coon cats the Petmate fountain was love at first sight. Both have been drinking noticeably more water than before the fountain came into their world. One of the cats happily eats from her upstairs dry food bowl, but always walks right past the nearby conventional water bowl (even though the water is replaced daily with pitcher-filtered water) to go all the way downstairs, then to a far corner to drink her water from the Petmate fountain. It's quite a trek and certainly confirms how much tastier and appealing is that same pitcher-filtered water constantly flowing through the Petmate fountain. The other cat occasionally takes advantage of the convenience of the conventional water bowl near his favorite dry food bowl upstairs, but he still drinks the vast majority of his water from the fountain downstairs. Says it all, huh! Mommy's rating: 5 stars. One of my purry friends loves to dip a paw in her water bowl to jiggle the water before drinking, but often she would move the whole bowl in the process and create quite a puddle on the wood floor. I put a plastic mat under the bowl, but it just was not large enough to protect the wood floor from her powerful splashing. Finally I purchased the Petmate fountain in an attempt to spare the wood floor from puddles. The flow of water does jiggle the water slightly, usually enough to satisfy my little friend, but occasionally she still attempts to jiggle the bowl herself. The saving grace seems to be that the full fountain is too heavy for even a big Maine Coon cat to jiggle enough to splash water onto the floor. I have accomplished my purpose -- protection of the wood floor -- and the dear cat adores her fountain, so it's a win-win for cats and for me. I have been replacing the water in the fountain every 3 days, which removes the bits of dirt and food that sometimes find their way into the bowl from my little Miss Muddy-paws and from whiskers. After refilling, for maximum flow I have learned to press very firmly on the top of the water slide to ensure it is all the way down. The pump runs quietly, and the fountain is reasonably priced and attractive.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from So far my cat doesn't like it We had a water fountain previously where the water ran out a spout. It broke plus it was hard to clean. I thought the cat would like this style because he seems to like drinking where he can feel the bottom with his tongue. The sliding board effect seemed like a good idea but after two weeks our cat still isn't using it.
