  • Cumbersome

    By on

I purchased two of these and so far. I have used one because day one taking out the battery from the back the cover broke and having to remove the battery all the time is annoying and cumbersome. There should be an ON/OFF switch. The item works but like I said it needs more design work. As soon as the dog sees the thing she runs and stops barking but i have to show it to her then remove the battery that is hanging from the back. I have two other dogs that really don't bark much but they are being affected by this too.

  • Malfunction????

    By on

So I bought 2 of these, one for home and one for work since my dog goes to work with me everyday.I received it 11/27/17. So initially it seemed to work great, but tonight I noticed while I was on the phone talking the red light kept going off and my dog is nowhere to be found, and no he had not been barking, so I had to take the battery out to stop it and he is still in hiding an hour later. Guess I won't be using it after all

  • It works so far

    By on

So far I am pretty happy with this bark control. I do have to move it from room to room with me as the dog has a tendency to go into the front bedroom and get on the top of a chair so she can look outside to bark at whatever goes by. But even if I keep the unit in the living room with me and manually hit the button she stops barking. If I move it to the room she is usually in she comes out in the living room and lays by the windows next to the front door waiting for someone to either walk by or drive by. Then I have to move the unit again. But it does the job!

  • Does not pick up barks from small dogs

    By on

We have a toy poodle who barks but this device won't pick up his bark. I only notice the red light which indicates a bark is identified when there is really big loud noise--like if I yell at it. Plus, it will be much more convenient if the device has an on/off button. I have to take the battery out everytime I want to turn it off.

  • Doesn't shut off

    By on

The red light continuosly flashes. My dogs didn't bark for the first 3 days, the light never stopped flashing and the battery died. I replaced the battery and again the red light just continuously flashed. Battery died a few days later, dogs barked the whole time.

  • Works great

We bought one to try out. After setting it up, we had a knock at the door and when our dog passed the unit, he stopped barking, turned around and went into another room still barking. We bought two more and now, when someone comes to the door, he may bark twice and that's it. Very pleased with the units.

  • Does absolutely nothing

Unless I am totally clueless this device doesnt do anything. When our dogs bark the light turns red and thats it. The dogs dont seem to hear a thing. We have 2 older Weimaraners and a 6 month old Dachshund. Completely ineffective.

  • AWESOME invention!

    By on

When my 5 mth. old puppy found his voice/bark I didn't get any sleep for about a month. I was on the verge of changing my mind about having a dog but thank God I decided one day to check out Chewy.com. The first night it arrived I slept like a baby and every night since. Thank you to the person who invented the bark controller, it works wonders.
