  • Surprising

    By on

This antler was smaller in diameter than I had expected, about one inch. The length was good around 7 inches. I was disappointed when I saw it and thought it was too small to last. My 8 year old doberman is an aggressive chewer. Surprise, surprise he loves it. The antler is durable. He is making some headway but progress is slow. That's a good thing.

  • Not an inside chew

    By on

My dog absolutely loves antlers and this is his 5th or 6th. He really enjoys this but it gets these hard black pieces everywhere. I end up having to pick up a lot of them or step on them barefoot, etc. This would be ideal for a dog that spends a lot of time outside. Atticus really likes to be inside unless the conditions are absolutely perfect (he's very spoiled). No other antler has ever given us this problem except this one. Due to this, I'll not be buying another. I'm letting him keep this one because he enjoys it so much but after it's gone it's gone

  • great for pitties

I have three pit bulls (two of my own and one foster dog.) These are great for the powerful chewers! My foster was so occupied munching on hers, she didn't even beg for my lunch!

  • Best chew for powerful jaws

    By on

Gave this to my great Dane pup who ate 2 couches, the rug, the drapes and every lamp cord in the room. It kept him busy for the time I was gone and he didn't touch any of the new living room stuff.

  • My Golden Retriever loved it

She was very interested in the smell of this antler (which really didn't have any odor to me.) Weeks later, she still seeks it out and tries to dig out the marrow with her teeth.

  • Neither dog would try it

    By on

I don't know why, but neither my Lab or my Newfoundland would have anything to do with this antler. They sniffed it and turned away from it. I have purchased elk antlers from another vendor and both dogs will enjoy them without issue. There is something about the scent of it that they don't like, unfortunately.

  • My pup loves it!

So far, this elk antler has been great for our 10-month-old pit mix, who is a VERY heavy chewer and destroyer. The fact that it is not split is a plus for us, because split antlers are too easy for this guy, but it is still soft enough to be safe and satisfying for him. It does leave some little chunks behind, so if he has it on a bed or a nice rug, we put him on a towel. It has lasted for several weeks now and he still likes to pick it up and gnaw on it!
