  • Perfect choice for Diabetic dog food

    By on

Somewhat naively, I didn't think that dogs could become diabetic. I don't know why, I had a old friend who's cat was, but there it is. Rusty, a rescue and a Dachshund (who alway *thinks* that he's hungry.) Being the runt and a submissive, he seemed to never get enough. Long story short, he and his non-bio Dachshund sister were always on some sort of diet or the other. A bout of pancreatitis, ketosis and the diagnosis of diabetes meant he'd be on insulin and eating new food. His super awesome vet Dr. Lisa recommend this (and having always being a Purena mom to my cats; I chuckled when she sheepishly said she liked this better than the other brand of diabetic dog food) to help him bounce back. So far, so good! They love it (even picky finicky fur sister) and I use a small handfull as their first morning potty "treat". If you need good quality non junk food for your fur kids, this is it! (And I found a recommendation from another reviewer about baking the wet food as treats such a winner that that's going in their treat jars next!) They love it and I'm happy both my dogs are getting to a healthy weight! … more

  • Solved a problem for my dog

    By on

We had a concern that she had colitis type ailment. Battling the condition for 6 months. Tried this and it resolved her problem. Now after being on it for 4 months she is tired of the kibble. She is not eating it like she did before. I which there was another flavor so I can switch and still have something that agrees with her.

  • Great price

My vet recommended the Pruina EN Gastyroenteric Fiber balance dog food. After shopping around, I found Chewy's price was the best, not to mention fast, free delivery. Chewy is where I will be buying my dog food!

  • Great food for sensitive stomachs or constipation

    By on

I have one dog with food allergies, she would bloat and pass mucus with Iams chicken and corn diet and even on Purina sensitive stomach salmon and rice didn't alleviate completely. Gastro EN cured the bloat and mucus. Second dog was fine eating fish and rice diet, but when the "family switched" to EN with fiber control, his poops were no longer strained.

  • Dog loves her food and she's doing great!

    By on

This food was prescribed by our vet for our approx. 7 yr old female dog who was recently diagnosed as diabetic. She loves the food and hand-feeding works really well as a fun distraction during glucose blood testing twice a day! After these past few weeks, our vet now wants me to hold off on insulin injections for several days because this new diet may be sufficient enough to keep her glucose low. Regardless if she needs the insulin or not (I HOPE NOT!) Our girl is doing really well and has noticeably dropped a few lbs and her energy level is great! I'll feed her this food for the rest of her life if it keeps her healthy!

  • This prescription food solved our grand dog's tummy problems.

    By on

This has been great for our granddog Archer, a Shepherd mix. He has had long term tummy issues with poor appetite, weight loss, vomiting and diarrhea. Archer was recently seen by our vet who diagnosed him with IBD. He was prescribed an antibiotic and this new food. Even after finishing the antibiotic Archer has done well on the prescription diet. His appetite remains great, he is gaining necessary weight and his tummy problems are history. Yay!!

  • Delivery was quick and right to my door

    By on

I already knew this was a great product. Living in a rural community, having the food delivered is a wonderful option. I am worried that I ordered delivery more often than necessary and wondering what I'll do if I have too much too soon. .. hoping I can make an adjustment later on.
