Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets EN Gastroenteric Formula Dry Dog Food is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 133.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from More affordable option than wet - still great product! When we first got our dog from the shelter, he had a very, very stubborn case of giardia that had him on antibiotics on and off for nearly three months! When he was still experiencing very serious diarrhea, but we had confirmed the giardia had totally treated, we figured the bacteria in his gut had to have been impacted by all of those antibiotics! At first, we started just giving him wet EN food and FortiFlora daily. While that seemed to begin to clear up the diarrhea, we were concerned about keeping up with the cost of all the wet food with a 50+ lb dog that was still growing. We ordered the dry food to split with the wet. Within two weeks his digestion drastically improved. He now receives half a can of wet with a cup of dry twice a day. I was worried our dog wouldn't be as excited about this food as he was the wet, but he LOVED it. So much so, that we will soon begin to transition him to all dry EN food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful for sensitive stomachs Finally, a food our dog can eat! This is the food our Terrier mix was on at the spca when we rescued him, but due to the price ($25 for a 6lb bag at the vet) we tried switching him over to a couple different types trying to save some money (Orijens, Blue Buffalo, etc...) but once we got the food mix to 50/50 he wouldn't be able to keep it down. Then all of a sudden one day he started shaking uncontrollably. I immediately took him to our local vet and she diagnosed a "sensitive stomach." So we bought him another $25 bag - better that than a sick dog! (Plus he barely sheds at all now, his coat is beautiful , and he has so much more energy!) As soon as I got home I checked Chewy.com and sure enough they had it at a MUCH cheaper price. I'll never go elsewhere for my doggy needs. Thanks Chewy for such great customer service & working with me to find a food he could eat without breaking the bank. Oh, and they even allowed me to donate the old food to a shelter & receive a complete refund!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I wouldn't use anything else! My dogs have eaten Purina EN for almost 13 years. It was recommended by my vet. My pets have never--not once-- had a stomach issue of any kind. Ever! It works for me and I will never switch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works wonders for my pup After 2 months of battle with the poop brigade and then my poor puppy having blood in her poop and only eating rice our vet recommended trying this food. Within a day she was back to herself. We were so glad we didn't have to keep her kenneled anymore. If your pup has gastro issues I highly recommend asking your vet about using EN Gastroenteric.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fixed my old guy right up! My old guy, Radar, was having some very disturbing gastro-intestinal upset. My vet recommended another brand of GI prescription food and while in her office, I conveniently it up on Chewy.com from my phone. I saw that Purina's version was a lot less expensive and she agreed we could try it. Fixed Radar right up!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best dog food for sensitive stomach My dog has a very sensitive digestive system and this is the only food that her system can tolerate. She eats the dry and a little of the wet version and loves them both. Recommended to a friend and it's worked for his dog as well.
