Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tremendous help for dogs with EPI I feel like a review is needed for this product because it helped my dog, who after loosing 17 lbs rapidly was diagnosed with EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency) when she was 7 years old. I had to mix enzymes in her food to keep her alive because she could no longer digest food on her own. After an hour, the enzymes digest the food before feeding time. The strain in her gut caused IBS giving her excruciating gas and loss of hair. After reading up on EPI forums and discussing with my vet, she recommended FortiFlora. My dog loved it and it helped her get through the tough diagnosis for 6 more years. She has since been laid to rest but I have to say I miss feeding her the packets everyday because my cat would play fetch for hours with the empty balled up packet. He drove us nuts sometimes wanting us to throw it so he could retrieve. We occasionally find packets around our house reminding us of how this product offered a duel purpose and how we miss our little girl. I highly recommend this product with great confidence and deep emotion, for any dogs suffering from EPI.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 100% Happy! My rescue Chihuahua Bobby came to me with horrible diarrhea from being in the shelter. He is white/cream color so the guck coming out of his eyes really stood out. His tummy made very loud gurgling noises. The diarrhea made its appearance thru-out the day. He was miserable and so was I having to clean it up. The Vet had Bobby on Metronydazole 3 different times. Nothing cleared it up until the doctor recommended FortiFlora. I hoped this probiotic would work and it did!!! FortiFlora worked its magic and Bobby feels so much better. This product is so good that I noticed with just one packet in his food that his tummy didn't gurgle, the diarrhea stopped completely, his stools were formed & normal. The guck that came from his eyes was gone too. I sprinkle 1 packet of FortiFlora on his canned & dry dinner, add a little bit of hot tap water and stir to coat his food. Bobby loves the taste of it. I will keep Bobby on FortiFlora for the rest of his life because he is a very happy boy now as I am. On occasion my Cavalier KC Spaniel mix Lexie gets a tummy ache and she too gets FortiFlora for a few days to get her back to feeling good. I highly recommend FortiFlora for your dog if they have any digestive issues. Try it--you'll like it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vet said, "Try it, it can't hurt!" My fun, playful 3 year old Yorkie/Spaniel mix (Jethro) was fed 3x a day since he was 1 year old to prevent him from getting nauseated often which led to grass-eating and constant licking back saliva, and vomiting bile ocassionally (vet said to keep some food in his stomach). Although his appetite hadn't diminished, I wanted to find the root of the problem rather than frequent feedings and Pepcid, and as much as I love to see Jethro, it was kind of nuts getting to the house from work every day to feed a mid-day meal, then back to work again. I asked my vet about FortiFlora and she told me to give it a shot. It worked. I slowly cut back on the afternoon feedings, watched him on home cameras remotely from work and discovered there wasn't a single incident of nausea or vomiting after about a week of adding this probiotic to his diet. Now, he eats between 8-9 am and then again between 4-5 pm with a couple of small treats after his walk just before bed. He has had the FortiFlora every day in his evening meals for the last 3 and 1/2 weeks. I am SO elated that his digestive system is improved so much.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent....we keep it on hand always Since my "boy" Trace was 2 years old he has been diagnosed with colitis. His Vet put him on Purina's DCO, high fiber food and also a probiotic. He is now 11 and still doing well, even with a huge mass in his chest (inoperable). For that I give the credit first to GOD but next to ordering his food and FortiFlora from Chewy. I never have to worry about running out of either one...when I open a new 6 lb bag of DCO and get down to 6 packs of FortiFlora I call in another order and within 2 days we are stocked again. I am so grateful my Vets have always told me about Chewy. As long as I have him with me, we will keep going with Chewy...paying less than from the Vet and always stocked, even thru any "storm" emergencies. I would recommend these products and of course, the convenience of having his food at my door when I need it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cautiously optimistic Our dog suffers from chronic colitis. Where we have adjusted her diet to control the colitis, we were looking for additional help as this adjusted diet has attributed to her weight loss. We feed her a substantial volume of food, but the calories are low and the fat content is extremely low to counteract the colitis. With a diet of brown rice, green vegetables, sweet potatoes and WD can food, we were still having to give her a large amount of Pepto Bismol. The addition of this probiotic has reduced the Pepto Bismol doses. This one received the best review of the articles that we read. Where the problem has not been 100% cured, we believe that this has helped significantly and will continue to monitor. She is 55 pounds and we are dividing the one dose package over 3 meals as a test and are being careful not to overload her delicate system all at once. We will continue to monitor. Glad that Chewy carried this recommended product at a very good price. We are very pleased with Chewy's prices,EXCELLENT customer service, best chat help line anywhere and quick delivery of products ordered.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If your dog had chronic loose stools This product has was recommended by my vet and has helped my 5 year old GSD with exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI) maintain a healthy weight and produce normal solid stools. I use this in conjunction with EPI digestive enzyme support and his quality of life has improved dramatically. He can sleep better and can enjoy his meals without having to eliminate immediately after. I can tell he feels better and looks great. I would definitely give this a try if your dog has any kind of digestive disorder.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Miracle Product This is going to be long but stay with me. We have a 17 month old Yellow Labrador named "Buck". He makes Marley look docile. One day, Buck backed out of his collar when he was outside relieving himself. I could not get him in for about 20 minutes. When I got him back, he was now a black lab instead of yellow. So I cleaned and bathed him back to yellow. But when he was making his next stoole, it was all Diarrhea. Which tells me that on his joyride he got into something. A day went by and then he started throwing up. So I was concerned it could be worms. I took him to the Vet and they gave him antibiotics, something to stop the diarrhea and a dewormer. Well, SLOWLY he got better but his stooles were still very very mushy. It was so bad that we would go and dump water after he was done so he would not walk in it after. I thought there has to be something to stop this. So I looked into Probiotics and thought what do I have to loose. But, I started him on Nutramax Proviable Capsules to save a couple bucks. Plus it got great reviews. But he was on it for about 2 weeks and saw little improvement. So, I thought, I will give this Probiotic thing one more shot and ordered the Fortiflora. WOW! Within 3 days his stooles were taking shape and after a week he was back to having solid stooles again. I never thought I would be so excited to pick up his poop again. I guess after what he ate when he was loose and from the pills he was on just screwed up his belly. But this product is a God sent. Do not waste your money on anything else if your doggie has IBD. I would give this product a 10 star rating if I could. i will continue to keep him on it. Thanks for reading I hope this helps someone that is in question.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from helpful I have added the Fortiflora powder to my dog's morning meal for a year ever since my vet recommended it to clear up soupy stools. Maddy (goldendoodle) is always supplementing her diet with random tidbits she finds on walks which I am sure are usually loaded with bacteria. I used to be able to find a box on the internet for $20 but now Chewys seems to offer the best deal if I include it with other items for free shipping. Some times I forget to add the powder and give it to my dog in a dry bowl and she laps it up. Must be very tasty. Overall I will continue to use Fortiflora indefinitely.
