Rated 4 out of 5 by Great probiotic for my puppy's sensitive GI! After having a bought of GI issues (upset tummy and liquid stools) that landed my puppy in the vet and spending a month plus on prescription food. I did a full re-assessment of my puppy's diet to see what needed to change including the probiotic she was on. After a nutritional consult and follow-up with the vet, I decided to give this a try. At first the puppy ate her food with the probiotic added in, no issues. However later on, she wouldn't eat her food with this probiotic. I've gotten around this by adding some mix-ins to max the probiotic, but it's been super helpful giving it to her weekly to keep her GI system on track! July 23, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product I started my 9 yr old German shepherd on this because she had a very aggressive bacteria caused from a foxtail that required her to be on antibiotics for 6 weeks after surgery. With 6 weeks of meds three times daily there's a really good chance that she could really screw up the natural flora in her stomach & gut. Our vet said that this was very important she be on this & for years animal probiotic has been over looked, she recently went to a national conference where this was a very popular topic. Our girl has been taking her probiotic without any issues, we mix it into her dinner every night with either a little water or chicken broth & a spoon of can food mixed with her kibble. She has know idea & hasn't missed a bite. We'll do whatever it takes to keep our spoiled rotten girl happy & if it's as easy as this, we will defiantly do it. June 21, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by My dog will not eat his food if I put this on it. He does not like it. I bought this because my vet recommended it to help with my dog's stomach issues. Bullet was spitting up and had diarrhea for a week. My vet starting treating him for an ulcer and/or bacteria infection with 2 antibiotics, pepto-bismol and antacids for 3 weeks. It help some but not totally so we did an x-ray and it didn't show any blockages so my vet continued the antibiotics and recommended the probiotic. He still wasn't completely better so I opted for the ultrasound, the in-depth one. We now know he has Lymphoma. His liver, spleen and kidneys are enlarged. There is no cure and I don't know how much time I have with him. I just wanted to let you know not to take chronic diarrhea and spitting up lightly and I do think probiotics are a good thing and could help certain conditions. June 27, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by 1st Ingredient is "animal digest" I tried this product at my vet's recommendation and wasn't sure if it was really working so I started to research alternatives which is when I discovered the first ingredient in this product is animal digest! Awful! Animal digest is mystery meat which could be from roadkill. I would never (again) feed my dog anything with "animal digest" as an ingredient. Can't believe I even gave my dog a Purina product in the first place. July 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very simple to use; needs no refrigeration My small dog has developed tummy problems so he's on a very low fat, chicken and rice canned dog food. Our vet suggested this probiotic. It works great, we can easily travel with it and ordering it through your site saves me almost $15 a month. And, best of all, he likes it! Wonderful product!!! July 16, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product I have used this product before and was very pleased. It works well on my rescue dog who has had some GI issues. July 18, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by EVERY Dog Owner Should be Aware of Fortiflora Many years back, my veterinarian "prescribed" this product for one of my older dogs who had digestive /elimination problems. The big D, smelly, runny. It was much more expensive. However, this probiotic made especially for canines (human probiotics don't work as well on a dog's system) HELPED MY DOG TREMENDOUSLY & ended the problem with this dog. It does not require a prescription & for any dog with "issues of gas, runny poops, undigested food" I would have this product on hand. I DO TAKE MY DOGS TO THE VETS ON A REGULAR BASIS & as THE NEED ARISES. However, I start here, at home, with FortiFlora. Most times, the "problem" is addressed by using FortiFlora & my dog(s) are happy. Chewy has the best price I have found & I ordered 3 boxes on Auto-ship so I would get the extra auto-ship discount & free shipping. FortiFlora cannot hurt the dog by itself so try it especially with older dogs. If the problem with the dog persists for several days with using FortiFlora, then call your vet right away & take the product in to show them what the dog was given on his/her food. April 24, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Probiotic I started putting this on my dog's food upon recommendation by my veterinarian for intestinal issues. Between putting her on a different dog food and this probiotic, it cleared up the problems she was having. I also give this to my dogs if they are ever prescribed an antibiotic. I sprinkle it on a little of their canned food and they eat it without hesitation. I would always consult with a veterinarian if your pup is having digestive issues to make sure there isn't something very serious going on. I've been happy with my purchase. July 7, 2016
