  • Prescription strength dog food

    By on

My veterinarian suggested that I purchase some dog food that will help my 11 year old standard poodle's joint discomfort. Since I was already a Chewy customer, I went to their web site, and searched for joint mobility foods. I chose 2 different ones to try, this one, which required my veterinarian's approval, and science diet healthy mobility large breed. Chewy did all the work to get my vet's approval of this food. My dog doesn't like the taste of the Purina Pro Plan food. I'm glad I didn't buy a bigger bag, as it is very expensive. The science diet food she loves though, so we are happy.

  • Finally! A Joint Mobility Diet With High Quality Ingredients!

    By on

Our Affenpinscher has early onset joint issues for which we have used many joint supplements over the past couple of years...until now! We are so pleased with the results of the Pro Plan Joint Mobility diet as he has bounce in his step again and we saw results in about 4 weeks. He also does not have the stiffness that he had before, especially in cold weather. The best part is that this diet has high quality proteins such as Trout, Salmon Meal and Chicken listed in the top ingredients. Yes, it has poultry by product meal which a great source of naturally occurring glucosamine (By-Products can NOT contain feathers, hide, hair, hooves, intestinal contents, etc.) Google "Pro Plan Myths and Our Affenpinscher has early onset joint issues for which we have used many joint supplements over the past couple of years...until now! • I am impressed with this company

    By on

This product was recommended for my 6 year old dog by my vet. He has been having joint problems. I have only been feeding it to him for a month so I can't speak on it's long term benefits but I will say his waste products are way less then with his other food. I will also say the company is pleasant and easy to deal with. I had a question which they answered right away. The prices are reasonable and the products were sent quickly. I am very happy with Chewy.com

  • Prescribed for a reason

    By on

We have a Doberman, weight 98 pounds. A few months ago at a yearly check-up the vet "felt" a click when she moved his hips. She wanted him on this Joint and Mobility dog food, so we switched. Our dog loves it, so no issues. It is very common for the large dogs to have hip dysplasia, so hopefully we can help prevent it.

  • Does seem to make a difference

I was recommended Purina Pro Plan JM by my Veterinarian. I was at first taken back by the cost-wow- it is expencive. But my young dog already has signs (xray) of hip issues and had to have a TPLO on one side. This guy is family to us and I can imagine holding back on something that would make him feel better especially in the long run. They was an option to take supplements and use his already good quality food. But, the cost of the supplements plus his food would not be much different than the Purina JM. Also it seems that the food delivers a more efficient release of the supplements. When talking to my vet, she told me she uses this food for her 3 dogs and indeed saw a difference in them I was recommended Purina Pro Plan JM by my Veterinarian. I have been feeding my boy this food for almost 2 months and he looks better. He didn't have a limp, or pain when active (except torn knee, just fixed with TPLO ) or other signs his hips bothered him. But since i have used this food he is feeling ' happier'. He is a bouncing puppy again and his coat is more beautiful than before. He looks and seems to feel more healthy all around. He has been getting a high quality food since day one (E). He is just over 3 years old now and on his second month of this food. If giving him this food makes him feel happy and healthy I am all on board with it, even at the cost. He only has a short time to live, like 18 years. I am going to do everything to make him enjoy and be happy and healthy during that time. I highly recommend Purina Vet RX JM. It has made a difference already. I saved a bunch buying it via Chewy, that helped a lot! … more

  • Excellent Joint Diet

    By on

I have a 10yr hound mix with elbow displasia so we have been thru every joint diet made-this is by far my favorite. For starters it doesn't make the whole house smell like fish! It's very palatable, and she doesn't get super gassy like she has with more grain heavy joint diets. Also, I feel it is an 'efficient' diet, i.e. she's not pooping most of it out! She's been on this about 2 weeks and I'm seeing an improvement in range of motion as well as fluidity of movement in her front end. Way to go Purina!
