Customer Reviews

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 53 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Not necessarily the food but Chewy.com I have the pickiest of eaters, his name is Elmer and he is a rescue Chihuahua. I just received this food about a week ago and he's been at least eating it intermittently. That's better than what he was doing, so I can't complain. My review is aimed toward Chewy. I received my order the very next day of placing my order. I decided to order from them because I had had excellent shipping times in the past with other products. Long story short, I was waiting on this food to be delivered from Amazon (which I tried to cancel but was denied). From my order date with them to my received date it took 10 days! And it was about $3.50 more. I just want to praise Chewy for your fast shipping and excellent customer service! I won't ever shop anywhere else! August 24, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Too Crumbly My dog loves this, however, this product is too crumbly for training. Might be good as a topper for picky eaters but, I will not be purchasing this again. Wish Chewy would sell Happy Howies training treat roll. August 16, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Treats We cut this into small size squares for treats. We froze some and probably have enough for 6 months. Great value. June 21, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect for picky eaters! I purchased this item for a senior dog who has a very picky appetite. It's a high density, high fat food so she doesn't have to eat a large portion. I cut this food up into small bites and she really likes it. It has a great smokey smell and firm texture (similar to a Summer sausage) so it's great for healthy or training treats too. My other dogs beg for it! May 17, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Favorite training treat that is also food. Red Barn rolls offers an excellent training treat that is also part of my dogs regular diet. She loves her meaty chunks and works hard to earn them. I like the ease of use, ease of handling and long shelf life. Once i cut a roll i refrigerate it with a baggie over the end to keep it moist. Also Red Barn Rolls are not crumbly like some other brands i have tried, making less mess. Great product. Love it all the way around April 30, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for getting my dog to take her pills! This food roll is awesome for supplementing my allergy sensitive dog's grain free diet. I cut off about 1/4 inch daily and I give her an allergy pill (zyrtec) wrapped in the food. I also use pieces of it as training treats, which is great since my dog is too allergic to many retail treats. May 7, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Yes or no to recommending...? The rescue group that I foster for gave me a bunch of samples of this product. I discovered that the dogs loved it and started using it as an incentive for going outside to the bathroom. They look for it when they come back in...even if they had merely walked outside for a few moments and then back in to get the treat. We are involved in a translation barrier as they don't "get it" that they are supposed to use the outside facilities in order to get the treat #and sad to admit, I don't always stand tough on that, either#. All this aside, I can say yes to recommending this product because they love the taste, to no I cannot recommend this product because you seem to have changed the formula and the texture now crumbles. I guess the taste is still there but would it be possible to go back to the formula you used to use? It is now awfully dry, or some such. October 21, 2014
