  • She Loves the Stuff

    By on

My diabetic Husky loves the stuff. I rescued her from a shelter 2 1/2 weeks ago. She's on insulin and the vet recommended this food. She is very skinny but in the last 2 weeks she has gone from 54 lbs. to 58 lbs. I don't know how old she is but she will probably be eating this for the rest of her life. I just wish that I could buy bigger bags!

  • Wrigley has diabetes

My 17 pound, 10 year old Bichon was diagnosed with diabetes and a maker of bladder stones April 2016. I could cook for him but found he has done well on the Glycobalance can and dry food. This and his insulin has kept him balanced. I love having his food delivered right to the front door! And if I must change anything in my order it happens instantly.

  • Worth the money

Royal Canin glycobalance is pricey. When my girl was diagnosed with diabetes, I panicked because she is a picky eater. She plunged right in and asks for more. I am pleased that she is happy and her numbers are leveling out.

  • she likes it

Allie is diabetic and a very fussy eater - she has been on WD and Royal Canin wet food for years and all of a sudden stopped liking the food. This is a real problem because she gets insulin twice a day so I decided to try the dry food. First time out she loved it - think it is something different. Now I use alone or mix with some wet food - so far so good! Love the customer service at Chewy - a terrific company to work with.

  • My dog will not eat it

    By on

My 12 year old Lab mix has never been a fussy eater, and was diagnosed as a diabetic a few months ago. My vet stocks Hills and recommended the W/D diet, which my dog ate with no problem. I decided to switch from Hills to the Royal Canin because of my research. My dog will not eat it and I was getting very concerned, so I thought I would try adding some diabetic canned food. I mix a small amount with the dry food and he gobbles it up. After reading all the raving reviews, I can't understand why my dog won't eat it. It's still too soon to see how the Royal Canin effects the diabetes, etc.

  • food for diabetic pet

    By on

I was expecting this food to help regulate the blood glucose levels of my dog; but can't say this has happened yet. This is the 3rd type of food I have changed in the last 6 months and nothing has got his glucose levels to be where the vet desires. It is frustrating not only financially; but emotionally for me and my pet.
