by Mimi Matese Puppy with liver disease
The kibble is a little big for our 3.8 lb. puppy but we had no other choice but to find a liver friendly food. The food is expensive compared to other brands. But it doesn't smell terrible & was recommended by our vet. Thank goodness she only eats about a 1/4 per day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Judy66 My dog loves this prescription food.
This was my first order with chewy.com. I am very pleased with the fast delivery and price, especially for a prescription food. Will definitely order again.

I've used this prescription food for my dogs forever so the product is good. It is not easy to find and the chains like Petco and Petsmart do a poor job of keeping it in stock.
The price and shipping time were excellent.

I found that chewy is a real good place to go for the dog food that you need, saves time and money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Alicat Saved my Dalmatians life
This is one of the best foods with little to no copper. My Dalmatian has copper storage syndrome which means his liver doesn't get rid of copper and it would have killed him. He has gained some weight on this food and looks so much better. The bag last about three to four weeks so not to bad 100 a month on the food and detox pills.

Rated 5 out of 5 by wemstad Good for dog with liver issues
Product was recommended by vet. Discussed it with your sales rep and was very satisfied with the answers so had no hesitation in ordering it. Right now mixing it with existing food adn soon will be going solo. So far the dog is loving it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Daisy She Eats It but.....
My dog thought that the 1st bag I bought was "doggie candy" and she would just chow it down. Bag #2 required me to add a scrambled egg white in order for her to eat it. She has also begun to scratch more often, which I attribute to the corn used in this food formulation. Before developing liver disease, she ate Acana, so any prescription liver diet is a big step down from the quality ingredients she was use to. I'm going to be consulting a certified veterinary nutritionist to help me set up a liver diet I can cook at home that will consist of real food!! I'll do anything to help my dog cope with her liver issues!! She's family!!!!!
