Rated 5 out of 5 by Pups love it My 2 pups are picky eaters, they have gone to bed without eating many times. We had to put them on this for skin allergies. From the first second we opened the bag they have been excited to chow down on this stuff. I dont understand it but as long as they love it im happy. July 15, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Tried 3 bags and no change for Golden with chronic allergies Our Golden is 6 and has been itching, licking, scooting and rubbing basically his whole life. He has to sleep in a cone. We have spent thousands on vet visits, allergy shots, apoquel, MANY different foods, etc. He was eating raw food for many years, with the only improvement happening when we cut out beef. We decided to go back to a kibble but try 6-fish this time. There were some noticeable improvements, but he was still scratching until there was blood if we couldn't stop him in time. The vet finally had us try Royal Canin HP. We tried it for 3+ months and I've seen no difference with his itching from his previous food. Oh, and he also gained roughly 18 pounds! All while feeding less than recommended, running 2 miles a day and getting 2 walks a day. Not okay! I called Chewy and explained my situation and they promptly refunded BOTH bags I bought from them...I was in shock! I asked if they had any food recommendations and he said try a brand that starts with Z and their fish formula since he seemed to improve somewhat on his 6-fish. So that's ordered (for WAY less) and cannot wait to give it a go! Side note - I know this products main ingredient is Hydrolyzed soy protein, but I can't help but notice chicken fat as the third ingredient. I'd think for a food that's for dogs with food sensitivities you'd want to refrain from putting ANYTHING chicken in the food because that's one of the main things dogs react to. But, hey, I'm no food scientist, only a consumer so what do I know.... July 13, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not sure about the product my dog has lost his appetite since using this food and seems to be very tired and less playful. July 19, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Life saver This is the first food that will stay down for my Lab. Pet food allergies are no fun but thanks to Royal Canin they are a little easier to live with. Thank you Chewy.com for delivering right to my door! July 19, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing My shepherd is allergic to everything and we went though so many foods including ones by Royal canine but finally my vet recommend this food and it's made an amazing change! Love love love July 11, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Cannot get it any too many places I am thankful I can get my dogs medication and special dog food from you because it is not offered in the big bag in the area where I live. And her medication is not offered at the new veretnarian office at all. July 7, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Gluten free favorite My puppy is required to be on a gluten free diet per vet instructions- not always as fun for the pup, but she likes this brand better than the Purina version (which looks like white corn puffs). She seems have done much better with her IBS type symptoms since switching to gluten free after having bouts of diarrhea every couple weeks. Great product! June 13, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by IBD Trial My vet, an internal medicine specialist, prescribed Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein for my dog that was just diagnosed with moderate to severe IBD. He is about 10 days on this diet and he seems a bit more comfortable, his appetite is holding and he is drinking normal amounts of water. He still has bouts of discomfort but overall I believe the food is helping. He is only on antacids and Omeprazole at this point. I withheld 1 star for the main ingredients, rice, chicken fat and soy, are not what I would consider ideal for dogs. Also, my vet said it would take 2 weeks to see significant results and where he seems improved, he still has discomfort. A big plus for this food is that my dog will eat it. He is a very picky eater and had been on a cooked diet before being offered this dry food. May 3, 2016
