I rarely do an transactions online. My 4 legged kid ,Tasha (A dog -shhh , she doesn't know that) had to have special food. I had a question about a product so I sent a message online (Chewy.com). I got a response instantly, she was very helpful. I didn't expect to hear back until much latter. Ordering online was easy. The food I ord. was prescription so it had to go thru my vet., Chewy took care of that part. Placed the ord. Sat. am, rec. it the Following Tues. .It was waiting for me when I got home & that was nice. The Best part, my kid wolfs it down like it was T-bone. My baby had pancreatitis & now has to be on a low or no fat diet. So only time will tell how well her system will do with I rarely do an transactions online. • Best food for my dogs

I worked in a veterinarian hospital for 3 years and that's how I found out about chewy.. my dog Hazel had pancreatitis 2 years ago and was hospitalized for 4 days.. the dr put her on royal canin gastrointestinal low fat and that truly helped her. I began using chewy when I retired from the hospital because it was cheaper and more convenient .. I am so extremely happy with chewy that I recommend chewy to everyone I know or speak with that has a pet. The price is a lot lower than stores or veterinarians and it's so convenient . Thumbs up chewy!!!!

  • Life Saving Food

    By on

My dog got very sick after having his teeth cleaned and didn't keep any food down for 10 months. He was a 16lb. dog before the teeth cleaning and lost down to 12lbs. After spending $6000 on vet bills, I changed to a new vet. He took him off all the medications previously prescribed and recommended this Royal Canin food. Within a week he was feeling so much better and has had no stomach problems since. This food literally saved his life along with our new vet.

  • She likes them

I was surprised my girls like these. These were the only prescription treats available as our usual ones were not in stock. Figured I'd try them because I needed something to offer. My surprise was she looked for second handout. Days have passed & she still likes them. They are a good size to break so she thinks shes getting more. My dogs that arent on special diet likes them too.

  • Highly Recommend

We were skeptical about this food to begin with because we were trying to feed our Yorkie what they say is healthier and more like real food. However, he developed enteropathy and this is what the vet recommended. We purchased it and he has scarfed it up every single time and his protein levels are back within normal range and he is doing very well.

  • My dog loves this food!

    By on

After my dog became disinterested in his regular food (Natures Recipe) and started having several days of vomiting in a row, our vet prescribed him a month long "diet" of Royal Canin Gastrointestinal" dry dog food. Since my dog had recently developed picky eating habits I didn't know if he would like this food however he LOVES IT! He is back to his semi-normal eating schedule. I will say we absolutely do not feed him the amount on the feeding guide of the bag, I continue to feed him the same amount of food he was eating of the Natures Recipe - He is 97 lbs (German Shepherd/Lab/Pit Bull mix) and I feed him about 2.5-3 cups per day while the recommended amount on the bag is 7.5 cups per day. My vet said it'd be easy for us to start introducing his old food again with this food as well after his "diet" this month ends but we may keep him on it. … more

  • Love this stuff!

    By on

My 7 year old Westie was recently diagnosed with high cholesterol. The vet prescribed this food and originally, I was buying it straight from my vet. Eventually, it became a hassle every time I ran out - had to call the vet, see if they had any in stock, if they did, I would drive there on a weekday to pick it up. The price was also horrendous. Then, I discovered Chewy carried this brand -- all they needed was a photo of the prescription from my vet. I ordered it on a Tuesday evening. It was at my door on Friday and was $15 cheaper than what I was paying at the vet! I love Chewy and I love how this food has changed my dog's energy level. I will never go back!

  • Good for rescue dog

    By on

We rescued an American eskimo back in March and he would vomit about every three days, sometimes every other day. We tried three different dry foods, a raw diet, had X-rays taken that were negative, had a barium study done that was negative, and finally a test for Addison's disease that was also negative. We were at a loss and wondering why he just couldn't keep any food down. Finally, the vet recommended this food. He has not vomited since we switched about a month ago. This food saved our little one! He's back to being his healthy, spunky self!

  • Best food our dog is able to digest and keep down

    By on

Our dog is part lab. She had a severe pancreatitis attack last year, she had been having problems since then. We have been making her dog food because she can't tolerate any dog food since the attack. Even diet science prescription made her sick. Im tired of all the cooking from scratch and our vet suggested this brand. She has been on steroids. , vit B and pepsid. It's been over a month and we are so happy that this food is working. We ordered the largest size. It's great to have it delivered because I could never lift it. My husband just has to bring into the home from driveway. Very convenient. Love chewy and will use from now on
