  • He loves his dry food

    By on

Bubba is turning 13 in a couple of months. He has had lifelong medical problems which started when he had a liver shunt placed at the age of 3. The Vet’s have alway had him on prescription canned or dry food. Since he has been a Royal Canin “pup” his lab’s have been great. I recently purchased the dry food and he definitely does like it. He takes daily medication, prescription food and “lots of love”. For a 7 1/2 lb. toy poodle I expect him to be with me for many more years!!

  • Great Experience!

    By on

My 7 year old beagle it was recently diagnosed with pancreatitis and put on this prescription dog food. Chewie.com made this entire experience very easy. They confirmed the prescription with the veterinarian and ship the product out within a day of my order. Not only did I experience amazing customer service but the great news is my dog loves this food. I was a little worried since it is extremely low fat that he wouldn’t find it appetizing but he looks forward to meal time every day and goobles it right down.

  • Great Dog Food

    By on

My two pugs were recently diagnosed with diabetes and the vet recommended Royal Canin Low Fat. They both love it, and they gobble it up! The dry version works better for them because with their "smushy" faces and the way they "lap" their food, the canned wet version would just get "painted" all around the bowl; we would have to spoon feed them.

  • Seemed to like the food

    By on

Unfortunately, my pup was put to rest right after I purchased this item. However, she did enjoy one or two meals with it and she seemed to like it. She had Lymphoma and unfortunately really went downhill fast. : ( Thank you so much for the lovely holiday card you sent to my home in the mail. Daphne was going to be 11 years old next week - she's a Golden Retriever and a beautiful soul!!!!

My Roxy has pancreatitis &was prescribed Royal Cannin gastrointestinal low fat food & I play trying to get her to eat 4cups a day. I end up putting chicken broth on the dry food so she will eat it!!! I have spent a fortune on Royal Cannin wet and dry food and now I’m up the creek not knowing how to make her eat this so I don’t eat it so to speak, money wise. Pls advise!

  • Healthy food

    By on

My vet recommended this brand food for my dogs who had problems with his pancreas. His blood work results were far from normal; some at least 4 times the normal levels. After being on this food, my dog is now a healthy mini daschund and his levels are back to normal. Chewy.com delivered the food the very next day. It was cheaper and they sold the bigger bag size than what Petsmart had to offer.

  • Just the ticket for my sensitive GSD

After YEARS of issues with lots of other dog foods--including very expensive limited ingredient diets, grain-free diets, dehydrated organic food, and other so-called easy-to-digest food--we finally found a food that seems to agree with our German shepherd, who has a very sensitive stomach. It is so nice NOT to hear her stomach making weird noises all the time, and she finally has nice, firm stools. She also has more energy and just seems healthier overall after finishing one 30-lb bag. We're definitely ordering another bag! I do add a spoonful of browned ground turkey on top or a splash of low-sodium/fat-free beef broth to make it tastier, but she's very picky and always requires a "topper" on After YEARS of issues with lots of other dog foods--including very expensive limited ingredient diets, grain-free diets, dehydrated organic food, and other so-called easy-to-digest food--we finally found a food that seems to agree with our German shepherd, who has a very sensitive stomach. • Healthy Product

I use this for my 16 year old Maltese. He loves the taste and it is good for his aging stomach needs. I started buying the product from my Vet but got the script so I can buy from Chewy (cheaper) along with all my other products I get on auto delivery from Chewey. Highly recommend this product and the Chewy site.

  • Smart Switch

My husband and I had our dog on a high protein diet for about a year and noticed that her stomach was constantly upset from both ends. It would happen just constantly enough that we needed to consult our vet who then recommended this formaula to us. She’s been on it now for over a year and (knock on wood) we haven’t had any more upset stomach issues. She has an occasional throw up but what dog doesn’t? We aren’t taking her off this food unless something else changes.
