  • My dog can't eat hard food anymore

    By on

My dog started throwing up all the time and she can't eat hard food anymore. She lost a bunch of weight. My vet put her on some meds and this food. She is eating every three hours, little bits of it at a time so she doesn't throw up. She loves this food and is doing great with it. I would definitely recommend even though it's a little expensive. She has perked back up and is acting more like herself again. I was hoping this formula would make her gain weight after reading another review where a woman's dog gained a few pounds from eating this.

  • Food works great - not happy with price increase

    By on

The canned version of this GI diet works great for our large breed puppy who has had some ongoing digestive issues resulting in loose stool. Have been feeding a lot of cans due to size of puppy, so I am not happy with the sudden $6.00 increase in price. This is almost the same price as the vet is charging. Also it can be hard to plan an order because delivery time has varied from 24 hours to 3 days. But I do highly recommend the food.

  • Prescribed Food

    By on

After serious cancer surgery, our 13 year old dog was prescribed this food (also the dry version). I'm a little surprised that she has not developed an aversion to it because of the strict monotony of the diet when she used to be used to variety. It was critical for her to start eating after surgery and put on lost weight. Thankfully this Royal Canin is accomplishing that goal.

  • Always have a case on hand for GI upset

    By on Top 500 Contributor

I absolutely love this brand and this food! When one of my dogs was younger we were battling a heavy coccidia infection and this is all he could eat and process. I first got it from my clinic but now I keep a case on hand in case of GI issues in any of my dogs. It is a great substitute for cooking chicken/rice and in fact my dogs seem to enjoy this more! I also have heard good things about the Low Fat variation for dogs with pancreatitis. I trust Royal Canin as well and have seen nothing but great results from such a solid company!
