  • Great results from this food.

Our fawn doberman has been having allergy issues for months. Environmental allergy test came back completely negative but still having issues. We tried feeding every kind of protein in all the high quality brands along with giving him an allergy shot that was expensive. He was better but couldn't get him to 100%. So far this food has gotten him looking the best. He hasn't had any issues eating it. But tends to eat about 1 cup more a day than recommend on the bag and he has lost about 5 pounds. He needed to lose 5 pounds though, the puppy food was making him alittle chunky. Chewy was $20 a bag cheaper than getting it directly from our vet. My dog had itched his skin like crazy ever since he was a puppy, I had tried claritin, fish oil, coconut oil, yogurt, prescription shampoo, benadryl, five different types of food... anything a vet would say would make him feel better. He itched almost all his fur off his legs, elbows and under belly. He would itch all hours of the night and whine, it drove me and him crazy. I took him to a new vet and they recommended an 8 week food trial on Ultamino with Apoquel every day. It's been 4 months and he's off the Apoquel and his fur has grown back and he's such a happy dog, not to mention he LOOKS like a dog again! I would 110% recommend this food if your dog has sensitive skin issues. • Worth Every Penny!

With the exception of a month here and there, despite many vet visits and trying every Rx, OTC, and homemade food imaginable, my Boxer has had unconquerable diarrhea for 8 years. This food fixed it. Period. And his coat looks and feels like somebody buttered it! Expensive but the cost is absolutely worth cutting out lattes for a week to make up the difference. Thank you, Royal Canin!

  • DOGS SING FOR THEIR SUPPER!

    By on

Our two Westies love their new prescription dog food - so much that our male (MacGyver) sings as he's eating it! Two paws up for the food and for the always great Chewy customer service associates who helped expedite the order and get the prescription from our vet. Autoship makes it an even better value for a pricey, but necessary dietary staple for our dogs, as we are trying to isolate the cause of their skin irritation. Thank you, Chewy!

  • Vet Bills No More!

My dog was found to have Whipworms back in July, we did the course of treatment for that and were cleared after the 2nd round. He continued to have soft stools to which he was put on a pill for. After the pills were done, like clock work, 2 days later his stools were soft and we were up every 2 hours of the night. We even switched his food from chicken to beef and still no luck. We added a probitotic to his diet and that did not show any signs of help. I went to a 2nd vet for another opinion as I did not want to keep my very young dog on pills for the rest of his life. She suggested we try the Ultamino. AND GUESS WHAT???? We are back to normal stools! • Wonderful!

I have a beagle who has been having stomach problems for nearly her whole life that is 10 years. I have taken her to several vets and we just put a pill on it and it works. Then it would come back. Took her to a specialist, We did some food studies, and nothing seemed to matter. Scoped just some ulcers, and they would heal. For us it was disappointing why was our little girl always having these issues? New vet.... let's try her on this food. Don't feed her anything else. Low and behold! No issues, She has had a few minor, and I mean minor issues. That is it. (it is from her eating stuff we don't see her eating) We are super happy so far. I pray it continues to work. • Runs to dish!

    By on

I was skeptical when the vet recommended a food change for a reoccurring ear infection in my black lab. After trying Ultamino for only a few days I saw an immediate improvement in his ears. It is the only food I will use now, he runs to the dish to eat it. Thank you Chewy!!

  • Great food - allergy testing

    By on

My dog loves this food! It's a little smelly for us humans, but that just means my dog likes it even more. We're using this food for allergy testing and we give our dog a little more food with this than his regular food (used the recommended serving on the back) and his weight hasn't fluctuated. He adjusted to this fine, although sometimes he seems to have harder stools with this.

  • Yucky Dog Food- Great Chewy Customer Service

    By on

Our dogs have been eating this product for years due to a food allergy. None of them would eat the latest bag of food. They literally did not eat for days until we figured this out. Even offering it to them by hand didn't help. Smelled just as awful as usual to me! I called Chewy and they immediately refunded the price of the bag and sent out a bag of another product as a replacement. Chewy has the absolute best customer service of any company out there.
