  • long haired cats

    By on

have two long haired cats who shed tremendous amounts of fur. this product gets out much of the fine under coat, and has reduced the shedding, plus they both love being brushed under the chin, and along the sides of their faces with this brush. brush spines are a little stiff at first, so don/t brush too hard, or excessively so as not to irritate skin. I give this product 5 stars.

  • Easy to clean

    By on

It's bristles are softer than a normal slicker brush but I find it better for my dog that has sensitive skin. It is super easy to clean because of the push button release to self clean itself.

  • Best brush ever!!

    By on

I was looking for a brush to replace the furminator brush. Lately, it seemed to irritate his skin. I tried someone's brush and loved it. The only thing was it was a hassle to remove the hair so this brush is perfect! The hair just gets pushed out and leaves the brush clean.

  • Not as good as Andis

    By on

I do not recommend this brush - especially not for long haired dogs. I have 4 long haired dogs (3 are afghan hounds). I bought this brush and the Andis brush at the same time to try them equally. I've been using both for months to be certain of my assessment. The concept of being able to clean the brush by pressing a spring-loaded lever which lifts the base to push the hair/debris out is a good idea. The problem is, because the bristles need to be longer to accommodate for the base lifting, they have too much play and feel loose. It seems not to brush as uniformly as the Andis brush. For a shorter haired dog, it would be okay, but I still wouldn't recommend it. The handle on the Andis is much I do not recommend this brush - especially not for long haired dogs. This brush is lightweight (some may like that feel) and the handle is smaller, less sturdy overall. If you don't do much grooming, it's fine. But for the same price, the Andis is a significantly better product. Brushes like this tend to be in your grooming kit for years, get the Andis, it's better. … more

  • Excellent for double coated dogs

    By on

I've tried for years to figure out how to control my Swiss Mountain dog's shedding. This slicker brush in combination with a rake for undercoat is key to removing the top coat dead hair.

  • Very nice!

    By on

For many years I would spend hours picking hair out of my dog brushes, usually winding up with sore fingers and a stack of whatever I can think of to use instead of my hands. With this brush, all you have to do is push a button to activate the plate and the hair is at the top of the brush and all I need to do is gently lift the hair out of the brush. No muss, no muss and the boy really likes this one as well.

  • Poor product

    By on

This brush was a complete waste of money. The bristles are extremely sharp (like pins) and my dog was very uncomfortable and did not tolerate it at all. She is is perfectly fine with other brushes and combs so it is the sharp bristles of this particular brush.

  • How did I brush before this?

    By on

This is the most amazing brush. I use it on my dog and cat, but I needed something that works well but is also easy to get the hair out, and this thing is perfect. My cat loves getting brushed and the dog is enjoying it a little bit more. LOVE it.

This brush worked well and didn't hurt him!! The one we used before made him cry. It's not easy to make a German Shepherd cry!!
