Description

This comb is ideal to use after flea powders and shampoos. It helps detect fleas and their eggs at early stages and effectively removes them. The extended handle flea comb also helps to remove nits and other debris from your pet. Before using this comb, groom your pet with a Safari comb to remove any knots or tangles which may damage the teeth of the comb. While combing, pay particular attention to areas around the ears, nape of neck, and base of tail. Between strokes, dip the comb into a cup of mild detergent to cleanse the tool. This comb may be used with all types of breeds to help maintain a healthy coat.

  • Quality comb

    By on

I've had and frequently used one of these combs on the couple of long-haired dogs I've owned - the long hair tangles are a true test of the quality of the comb 'cause I've definitely purchased some throwaways in the past.

  • Too small

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

It's too small for my puppy ( 25lbs Mini Aussie Shepherd) and it's quite difficult for me to comb her entire body. It may be suitable for smaller or toy breeds.

I found the comb to work wonderfully on my long hair coarse coated dog. I don't feel that it works as well on my cats.

  • Too small...

    By on

I use a flea comb on both my long haired cat and short haired dog...and prior purchases have suffered missing or bent teeth. So I bought this comb because of its single piece construction (the teeth are molded as part of the comb). But it's SMALL...the comb section is only 2 1/2 inches long by 5/8th inch deep. The teeth barely get into the cat's fur, and are too tight to get into the dogs more wiry hair.

  • What I use this comb for

    By on Top 500 Contributor

I bought this comb to use to check for ticks after walks with our pup in high grass. Her fur is longish and dense but I am still able to get the close-teethed comb through. She's not had fleas so have never used it for that. It would make a good human eyebrow comb, I've thought but have never used it for that either!

  • I bought it strictly for going thru my short hair dogs' coats for ticks.

Product has performed as expected. I use it as a preventative to stop ticks from attaching.
