  • NOT FOR OUR PIT

    By on

DID NOT WORK. MY DAUGHTER GAVE OUR PITTIE BABY A BATH THEN REAPPLIED A SECOND DOSE. TOOK SOPHIE FOR A WALK AND CAME BACK WITH LOADS OF WHITE FLEAS. IF I COULD AFFORD THE SERESTO FOR LARGE DOGS I WOULD BUY THAT BUT WITH 10 CATS AND A PIT IT'S TOO MUCH MONEY. WE ARE SO THANKFUL CHEWY IS HERE FOR US. NO MORE CARRYING HEAVY CASES AND BAGS. SEEING WHAT ELSE I'LL TRY.

  • Kills Fleas? Yes. Ticks? NOOO

We've been using this..for about 4-5 months now I believe? Our dog is sensitive to the chemical topicals. It would make her skin red where applied. The internal comfortis was fine but she had diarrhea for a couple days after the pill every month. We thought we would try this because it was cheap, but also natural. Good thing, no adverse reactions. No diarrhea, no signs of discomfort. AWESOME. She smells like Thanksgiving and Christmas candles had a baby. LOL, if you're into that , this SHOULDN'T bother you. I don't care for it but after about 24 hrs the smell goes away. It use the natural oils....which some would think gets messy...but she doesnt sleep with us anyways, and we already change our large blankets to we have over our couches to protect them in the first place. I was worried at first with using this on our cat and dog and I continously check them for fleas and ticks thinking it's going to be a complete fail....never have I once seen a single flea in the 5 months we have been using the product. I also want to note we are in a larger city, our dog is not free to let roam in fields and possibly be attacked by a wild animal or bit by a snake. So for for that, I dont think it would hold up. We go on nature walks quite frequently and have while using this product. We are in southern Missouri, if this helps you in your decision. I know various regions are bery different! Let me tell you right now it does absolutely NOTHING against ticks. We just got back from a new location we decided to walk at. It was about ...3 hours of walking. Dirt/rock trail. She was treated about a week ago is all, and I spray her with a 50/50 apple cider vinegar and water mix before going to high infested areas like the dog park, or nature walks. Never a single flea. I have just always done this to cover areas like the belly and legs. It dries with no smell....just as a precaution. Normally in combination I would use a product called "wondercide" on top of the topical if we are going deep woods hiking like we did today but I forgot. Thank god she is a doberman with extremely short hair. We pulled....8....TICKS....off of her. In various places. One on her female parts, another under her chin, one on the side of her face, two behind her ears, one crawling on her belly and one on the edge of the inside of her ear. All were well far away from the strip of oils down her back, but obviously were not phased. So yes, if fleas are your main concern, to me, it works great. Examining both cat and dog all the time and have not seen a single flea. Last year frontline failed and we had an infestation. So far this stuff has held up. As for ticks, no. Absolutely not...have fun plucking ticks unless you pair it with a natural, full body spray for the belly , neck , legs and tail. Always worked before, I just forgot. At least now I know. … more

  • Safe and effective flea control

    By on

I have been using this the past few years and found it to be very effective in preventing fleas (not really around ticks much, but none have been found). Pets appear a little greasy for the first few days, but being that it's a natural oil base, that's to be expected. It has a strong, woodsy fragrance (which I happen to like), so it can be overbearing to some, but knowing that your dog is protected without the use of harmful chemicals should be enough of a reason to continue using.

  • Cheap & Potent

    By on

First, I was so excited when I thought I bought one month's worth for under $9.00 and it turned out to be FOUR months worth. Great Deal! Great Price! All Natural! Love, Love, Love. BUT...The all-natural essential oils are potent. I had to air the house out and after 24 hours I did give my Large Brittany Spaniel/Border Mix a wipe down. I did find one unattached tick on her so far, but we walked in the fields.

  • Effective but smells strong

    By on

I have used this many times. It works well. Their fur is stiff for a while and the smell of cloves is very strong for several days, but it's worth it to use a natural product that is very cheap and still works.

  • Good product

    By on

Used this for two years on my dog with no fleas or ticks. Has a very strong smell but it's a natural smell. Smells like the ingredients that are in it. Clove, peppermint, lemongrass, cinnamon, and thyme.

  • Everyone loves the smell

    By on

I've been looking for a natural flee/tick alternative because my dog is very sensitive to the active agents in most of the major brands. I tried something similar to the Sentry and had good results, then I couldn't find it again. So I was very glad to find this because the pet store didn't have anything natural. We haven't had flees in the house before, but now that it is warmer I am a bit concerned. I've been advised that natural flee products need to be layered in order to be effective, so I am using this in combination with a natural flee collar and a flee tag. So far it seems to be working. • Love my dog!

    By on

This worked to kill all the fleas and ticks on my dog immediately. Two weeks later there are a few fleas showing up, but there's a lot of comfort in knowing that I can reapply it every two weeks; and even more comfort in knowing that I'm not poisoning my Keeper for the sake of convenience. Love my dogs!

  • Pretty good

    By on

So the smell is a little strong but only because most of the solution is oils so it has to be to work. I applied it outside so it wasn't too strong of a smell for my dogs since they can smell a lot better then me. I wish it would dry faster so I'm not worried about it getting everywhere. Next time I will do it mid afternoon so they can chill outside until it dries.
