Rated 5 out of 5 by Emily35 Seresto Collars WORK
We live in Connecticut where ticks and Lyme disease are rampant. I'm not a fan of the flea drops because of the side effects, including the "skin crawling" sensation my lab would experience. For me, the Seresto flea collars are the reliable and safer choice.
We've been using the Seresto Large Dog flea collar for almost two years with my 65lb lab and the ticks I have found have either been dead or just crawling on him, even after a day in the woods. Proof enough for me the flea collar is working if the ticks aren't biting him or die before they become engorged.
Now that we've added a second rescue pup to our family, I'm back for another collar because I know it will keep both of my dogs safer. I don't have to worry about the side effects of the drops or them licking insecticide off each other or themselves.
The collar is also a much more economical purchase than the drops. Chewy has a great price on this collar (as with everything) and their customer service is exceptional.

Rated 5 out of 5 by FurMommyof8 A great value
I have 7 dogs in my home. I have been struggling for years with the effectiveness, cost and difficulty of applying topical flea/tick treatments. My dogs hated them! Pill treatments didn't work well either. I first purchased Seresto from a company in the UK (before finding chewy.com) to test it with 2 of my dogs. Within days their fleas were gone and their skin irritations started to clear up. It was like the miracle I had been looking for. We also had a problem with ticks, but not anymore. And by the way, mine actually did last the entire 8 months advertised. Because it really works for me, it's the most cost effective solution I've found to date (it costs about $5/month per collar from chewy.com). The collars contain the same dosage so I'm able to split one large collar into 2 smaller ones (the only differences are the large collar is wider and longer than the small). No more stressful applications of topicals for any of us. I hope I'll never have to use anything else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hobo Awesome Product Highly Recommend!
I highly recommend this product to anyone. One of our dogs gets deathly ill with oral flea products and tried this product at the recommendation of our veterinarian--she was right simply a great alternative. Seresto is not an alternative it is the only product we use for her, more importantly it works, it is affordable and less expensive than any of the oral medications without the side effects. I have recommended this product to more than 25 friends and relatives and not one of them have been disappointed with the product.
My only negative about Seresto? It does not offer bling other than a few reflectors for night safety. When she steps out on the town or farm she is without fleas and ticks but not as stylish as I think she could be. Living on a farm she is exposed to a lot of flea and tick and its a non-issue. But when out on the town I wish it was maybe in a color option at least.
Great product I highly recommend Seresto!

Rated 4 out of 5 by kwkr So far so good
Its only been a couple weeks so cant say about longevity but the fleas were gone in two days. I have 3 big dogs a thick, long hair shephard, very short hair pitty and a hound, reg hair. I live in the country with woods close so they get into areas that have fleas and will bring them home. This year was like overnite attack of those buggers! I cant afford the monthly anymore so had heard good things about these collars and even if they last for just 5 months they will be a bargain as Chewy had them for $40.!! The biggest complaint i see with these is that they dont stay on well. I fixed that problem! After you put it on DONT cut the excess off! The end will actually stay curled and wont be able to slip thru. You can also slip the end under the collar and due to length it will stay put.I have had to tighten once on my short hair dog but was never any chance of it coming off.
So this collar does the job of killing fleas, we'll see how long it lasts.

Rated 4 out of 5 by laurapancoast78 Didn't last full 8 months
Not totally the product's fault, but our last Serresto collar had "run out" before the 8 months was up and it led to some miserable days for our two dogs. We believe the collar may have gotten wet too many times from them swimming. Beware of this and take it off if you bathe them or let them swim more than once a month.

Rated 5 out of 5 by FailedFosterMom Hiking Dog - No Fleas!
I use the Seresto collar in conjunction with Sentinel and it works great. I go hiking in the deep woods and this does the trick! I've pulled accidentally on this collar and it's tough enough that it hasn't broken on me. My dog wears this with his other collar as well and doesn't cause a problem. So glad I don't have to worry about flea prevention for so long! I just ordered one for my smaller dog as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Catfishman Easy to use.
I was very skeptical about a collar that prevents fleas and ticks. But after watching my dogs suffer, I didn't want them to go through another miserable summer. Within 2 days there were no fleas or ticks. These are dogs are hounds that we have in the woods every day. Usually after a hot day running over the farm they would be covered with fleas. Now none. I will use this product on every dog I have from now on.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Cascade Would not recommend for tick protection, fine for fleas.
It's June and I am not due to replace my black lab's collar until October. We haven't had any fleas, which is great, but hadn't had a chance to really test how the collar repels ticks until a few days ago. We went backpacking this past weekend in an area that was invested with ticks, and so was my dog. We ended up pulling at least THIRTY ticks that had attached themselves to her and we are still finding them!
After returning home, we ended up treating her with half a treatment of Frontline.
As you can imagine finding ticks on a black dog is extremely difficult so we're still pulling ticks off of her. We're saving the ticks in a couple of baggies in case she shows any sign of illness. Interestingly, the ticks we saved from the weekend are still alive in the bag. However, the second bag of ticks post-Frontline treatment are dead!
Please do not consider this if you live or go to areas with ticks.
