  • Nutritious and Easy To Serve!

My Doberman, Ben, loves these freeze dried dinner patties! I like that we can easily take them with us in their light-weight package wherever we go. All I do is break the patties into large bites (while Ben warches in eager anticipation) and then I pour a little cold water over them to soften and wet them a bit. Ben absolutely loves these chicken and the lamb dinner patties...more than any food he's eaten!

I have been using all flavors of Stella and Chewys for about a year now. There have been some issues with variability in texture with this brand. Sometimes the patties are very soft and pliable and other times the patties are hard and crusty and other times the patties are VERY HARD. I bought 3 bags of Stellas in March 2017, and the Chicken Patties are so hard that you cannot break them apart, it is like they are stale. I called the company and they said it is because of the sourced ingredients and they cannot control consistency of natural ingredients. I think they need to have more quality control and have a consistent mixture of ingredients and end product. • Cats love it, Dog...not so much.

I purchased these in hopes of finding a better alternative to wet foods. I mixed a batch of this up and divided it to my dogs. One dog ate some of it, and the other snubbed it. So, I'm disappointed that my dogs don't much care for it. Would have made a nice treat or replacement for wet foods. My cats however loved it. They ate what the dogs did not and didn't leave a drop on the plate. So I guess 5 stars for the cats review... but 3 for the dogs.

  • Yes!! A lifesaver for a picky eater

I can't say enough good things about this product. My dog finally wants to eat his meals again. I actually use a small piece of each patty, mix with a little bit of water and then mix into his kibble. He eats it right up and even waits for me while I'm preparing it... something he didn't do before. I sometimes use these as treats too because he is so crazy about it. My family's dogs all went crazy for this product as well. I ordered another bag & I'm trying to meal mixers next.

  • Finally a balanced diet...

I have returned over 8 different dog foods because our little Emilie would refuse to eat any of them...even after a three or four day trial period. As an alternative I'll boil organic boneless and skinless chicken breasts and after coaxing her she would eat it f it was hand fed the meal otherwise the food would just sit there. But by some miracle our little girl without any hesitation she willfully eats her Stella and Chewy's chicken, lamb and beef freeze-dried dinner patties. THANK YOU Stella and Chewy for having that secret formula that's gotten he back to normal eating habits!!!

  • My dogs LOVE these patties

I have 2 Siberian Huskies that get bored quickly of plain dry food. I use Chewy's Chicken Dinner Patties as a meal topper. I break one up into each bowl then reconstitute one patty in warm water to make a gravy and pour on top of their kibble. They absolutely go crazy for their meals now. I also switch up between the chicken and the beef patties.

  • Great Product

My chocolate English Lab loves this food! Wanted to try it as I feel like a kibble only diet (even a high quality kibble) isn't the best. We give it to her as a topper with her Fromm kibble which she also loves. I do soak it as I feel that it would be hard to digest if I gave it to her dry. Once rehydrated it does look and smell like fresh meat. She has had no stomach/stool issues on this food. Great alternative to a frozen raw diet.

We struggled big time with getting our Yorkie pup to eat any kind of dry food. He's such a picky eater and hated almost everything we tried to feed him. So, we started to mix in wet food for him to eat his food. But, we had a huge scare a few days after integrating wet food into his meals. He ended up being hospitalized and costing us a lot of money to get him better. We weren't sure if it was the wet food or if it was something he got into, but we decided that it was over for the wet food. While he was on a bland chicken and rice diet, a friend of my fiancé told us about these freeze dried patties that she feeds her dog, and they absolutely go crazy for it. So we found a local all natural dog food that sold this and gave it a try. From the very first time we crumbled it and gave it to him with his kibble he went absolutely nuts! We never seen him eat food so fast. We would put the bowl down and literally 2-3 minutes later it was all gone! He's a very picky eater and he absolutely loves this. Not only that, his stool comes out solid all the time now which makes us very happy. So, I highly recommend this to all dog owners, especially ones with picky eaters! It's a little on the expensive side, but it is worth every penny. We have a Yorkie so what we do is break off 1/4 of the patty, and crumble it into his kibble. Then, we give it a nice little mix and give it to him. He loves it every single time. If you have the money to get it for your dog then do it! … more

My 2 dogs rescues: a 3 yo yorkie from a puppy mill and a schnoodle from the downtown streets. Both were in poor health when I got them. The taste nutrition and high digestability of Stella snd Chews has played a significant role in improving gut health of both my doggie girls. Both are now eager eaters with healthy coats, less dental plaque and no stomach problems.
